Trixie: Defence Attorney
Turnabout Shot
1/2

My name is Trixie an defence attorney. Ponies wonder why I turned from a cocky show-off into a sign of justice with the intention's to seek out the truth no matter what. It all began..

A crowd of ponies was talking until the judge's gravel silenced them.

"Order! Order! Now we can begin the trial of Ms.Trixie" Said the judge.

A pony with red and yellow spiked mane chuckled. "The prosecutor is ready, your honour"

A pony wearing a business suit with a black spikey mane spoke next. "The defence is ready, your honour"

"Good then we can begin! Prosecutor please tell us your open statement" Said the Judge.

"Gladly, your honour. Ms.Trixie is here for murder, she has killed a famous celebrity with the name of Galaxy storm and we have a witness who saw it with his own two eye's" Said the prosecutor.

"Then bring this witness up to the stand" Said the Judge.

"Very well, your honour" Said the prosecutor.

A pony with a grey mane and purple eye's took the stand.

"Witness! State your name and job" Said the prosecutor.

"Names Jeff Spitter and my job is to work on a farm" Said Jeff.

"And according to this witness he saw the murder " Said the prosecutor. "He lives on a farm and the forest of the murder was close by his house"

"Very well, the witness will now begin their testimony" Said the Judge.

(Alright here we go, I just hope I can find a contradiction in his testimony)

"I was making myself tea but then I heard a bang from the forest.
I decided to check it out and I saw a blue pony wearing a hat, the same on that the defendant has on!
She had a gun and she shot him and ran away"

"Alright let's do this.....I would like to hear your testimony again please" Said the defence.

"Uh...Oh me r-right" Said Jeff.

"I was making myself tea but then I heard a bang from the forest.
I decided to check it out and I saw a blue pony wearing a hat, the same one that the defendant has on!

"How do you know that she was wearing the exact same hat?" Asked the defence.

"It was purple and it stars" Said Jeff. "Like I said, the same one"

(Nothing seems out of place so far)

"She had a gun and she shot and ran away"

"Why didn't you give chase?" Asked the defence.

"I was hiding in a bush and it was a great distance away from them" Said Jeff.

"Ha! What you said is impossible!" Shouted the defence.

The witness's eye's grew wide and sweat started coming down his forehead.

"W-WHAT?!" Asked Jeff.

"Objection!" Shouted the prosecutor. "It is obvious why he wouldn't give chase! Trixie had a weapon he would obviously be scared to approach her it is natural for some pony act like that"

"Y-yeah! What he said!" Shouted Jeff.

"Actually that wasn't what I was referring to!" Shouted the defence.

"Then whatever do you mean Mr.Eagle?" Asked the Judge.

"If you was a distance away then you wouldn't been able to see the colour of the hat! Not to mention the stars!" Shouted Eagle.

"N-NO!!!" Shouted Jeff. "Wai-wait I forgot to mention I had binoculars!"

"Then please add this to your testimony" Said the Judge.

"No need, Your honour! Because I had proof that the binoculars doesn't change anything!" Said Eagle.

"It does!" Shouted the prosecution.

"Actually it doesn't!" Shouted Eagle. "And I have proof!"

"Proof?" The prosecution said while jerking back in shock.

"That's right! Proof!" Said Eagle.

"Well Mr.Eagle where is your proof?" Asked the Judge.

"Here it is!" Shouted Eagle.

"A....folder?" Asked the prosecution.

"Yes, a folder. With the info of the proof inside" Said Eagle.

"Um....what page?" Asked the Judge flipping through the folder.

"First one! It plainly says that it was so dark at the night of the murder that Trixie was wearing night-vision goggles!" Said Eagle.

"Oh my, it does!" said the Judge.

"So even if you had the binoculars it would still be dark enough for you not to be able to see Trixie's hat let alone Trixie and the victim!" Shouted Eagle.

The entire courtroom started to talk but soon stopped when the Judge used his gravel.

"O-order! Order!" Shouted the Judge. "Mr.Eagle what are you trying to say here?"

"What I'm saying is that if that the witness really did see the hat she would have to be up close!" Shouted Eagle.

"S-so you're saying that.....he was there with them" Said the Judge.

"I'm saying more than just that, My honour! I think that he was the real killer!" Shouted Eagle.

"N-NO!!!" Shouted Jeff.

"Hahahaha......sorry but I have to object! Remember that she had her hoof prints on the weapon on the scene" Said the prosecutor.

(Damnit! So close! Wait a second what if.......it makes sense if she would......YES! I've got it!)

"Actually I have a good idea what happened at the scene of the crime" Said Eagle.

"And that would be?" Asked the prosecutor.

"The gun....wasn't the murder weapon!" Shouted Eagle.

The crowd once again started talking until the Judge once again, used the gavel.

"Order! Order! W-what are you saying Mr.Eagle?" Asked the Judge.

"Simple, Your honour! The witness is the killer!" Said Eagle.

"Objection! Why would he kill Galaxy storm? What is his motive?" Asked the prosecutor.

"I looked up Galaxy Storm and Trixie on the internet! And both of them used to be Jeff's mare friends" said Eagle. "I found out that those two argued when he was with Trixie but he picked Galaxy's side and dumped Trixie! He then got dumped from Galaxy because Trixie interfered"

"W-WHAT?!" Shouted the prosecutor. "Why did you never tell me this?!"

"Be-Because you never asked" Said Jeff.

"So it's the truth isn't it Jeff Spitter or should I say....Ex-Killer?!" Asked Eagle.

"Uh....I...eh... Said Jeff.

"Objection!" Shouted the prosecutor.

"Wha-what?" Asked Eagle in shock.

" It is impossible!" Shouted the prosecutor. "There was two bullets fired! One in his stomach another in his back! So how could he have fired from the back as well as the front without Trixie seeing his face?"

(No!!! This can't be!)

"It look's like the prosecutor has a point! Eagle do you have anything to say?" Asked the Judge.

(Come one think!!!)

"Nothing? Well that is a first looks like I can now give down a verdict" Said the Judge. "I declare that Ms.Trixie is...."

"OBJECTION!" Shouted Eagle.

"WHAT?!" The witness, prosecutor and Judge said at the same time.

"Three bullets was fired as said so in this folder! So what happened to the third bullet? I think I know!" Shouted Eagle. "The third bullet was actually the first one!"

"Explain yourself!" Shouted the Judge.

"Gladly, Your honour" Said Eagle. "An invitation was given out to Trixie and Galaxy to meet up at the forest from an unknown pony, take your guess on who that was?"

"Objection!" Shouted the prosecutor. "Where is your proof that this 'invitation' even exists?"

"This is my proof!" Shouted Eagle pulling out a piece of paper. "Trixie gave this to me before the trial!"

"Give the letter to me" Said Judge.

"Gladly, Your honour" Said Eagle showing it to the Judge.

"Hmm....let me see here......'I want to talk to you Trixie about something....important....and it's secret so meet me at the forest known as 'Gillidine Forest'" Said the Judge as he read it out loud. "The rest is....ripped off"

"Damnit!" Growled the prosecutor.

"Next they both got into an argument! And Galaxy was threatening her so in defence Trixie shot the floor with a gun and was warning her not to come closer, which was a bluff. Then Jeff shot Galaxy from behind" Said Eagle.

"Objection! You brought us back to the same question! How would he be able to shoot him in front if Trixie didn't do it?" Asked the prosecutor.

"Simple, Trixie's gun is an automatic so when Galaxy was shot Trixie was in so much shock that she dropped the gun and since it was an automatic it would shoot as soon as it made contact with the ground making it shoot her in the stomach!" Shouted Eagle.

"Not so fast! What proof do you have of this gun that Jeff has used even existed?" Asked the prosecutor.

"Simple! When I got to the crime scene Jeff's house was obviously there! And behind his house I found a safe under his plant! The code was also the date that the Trixie and Galaxy dumped him!" Shouted Eagle. "And inside....I found this gun!"

"No! Impossible!" Shouted the prosecutor.

"Check the hoof prints it will tell you otherwise!" Shouted Eagle.

"Bailiff, please check the hoof prints of the gun" Said the Judge.

20 Minutes later.....

"The hoof prints matches Jeff's!" Said the Bailiff.

"N-NO!!!" Shouted Jeff.

"Trixie then ran away after that had happened and teleported out" Said Eagle.

"Objection! Hahahaha.....oh Mr.Eagle you are so wrong...so very wrong" Said the prosecutor.

"What?!" Asked Eagle.

"You heard me....you are wrong! What happened to Trixie hoof prints being on the night-vision goggles?!" Asked the prosecutor.

(N-NO! I forgot! This ruins everything unless.....yes I've gotten it!)

"Objection! Jeff had the goggl-" Eagle was cut off.

"Then why does Trixie have HER hoof prints on it?" Asked the prosecutor.

"It might have told her to come with them in the letter?" Asked Eagle.

"Objection! The letter is ripped! If it really DOES have what you suggested then prove it!" Shouted the prosecutor.

"I....I can't" Said Eagle.

"Well, if you don't have anything to help your opinion then I can hand down my verdict" Said the Judge. "I find Trixie to be..."

"OBJECTION!" Shouted Eagle.

"Give me one more day honour I beg of you" Said Eagle.

"Hm....considering how much proof you got in just two day's I don't see why not...but tomorrow the case will resume and if you or the prosecutor doesn't have enough evidence to provide their side of the case then they will feel the wrath of my verdict!" Said the Judge. "But for now court is postponed"

In the detention centre....

"I'm sorry Trixie" Said Eagle.

"No, Trixie should be sorry for doubting you. Trixie see's that you can win this case" Said Trixie.

"Thanks Trixie. Here, I want you to have this" Said Eagle as he gave her a necklace with a star on it.

"What is it?" Asked Trixie as the item was put in her hooves.

"An neckless....it was passed on through-out my family and I want you to take it....apparently it will glow when the time is right" Said Eagle. "Well, I'm going to find out some evidence so I'll catch you tomorrow"

The next day....

Trixie has been waiting for Eagle to show up but he never appeared.

"Ms.Trixie is it?" Came a voice.

"Who are you?" Asked Trixie staring at a blue pony with a yellow mane.

"I am Hotriser but that doesn't matter....what does matter is that Eagle was shot dead in his apartment....the evidence was still there and we have it with us and you have to prove you are innocent by yourself" Said Hotriser.

"N-no" Said Trixie.

"Trixie, you don't have a choice this is sink or swim and you can't afford to sink. Swim. I believe you didn't do this....but prove it to every pony that thinks otherwise...you can do this...win it" Said Hotriser.

It was a lot for Trixie to take in she was filled with anger, sadness and confusion. She sighed, as much as she would like to cry right then and there she knew it was sink and swim and crying would only help the water to sink her case. She had to win. No matter what.

She looked at her 'evidence' of what she had. She had a piece of paper, A folder, A metal detector and a bullet in a bag.

"This is all you had?" Asked Trixie.

"Sadly, yes" Replied Hotriser.

(I guess it's time....let's do this)

The court room door open and she could already hear the ponies talking.

And this is where it all began......
