Mystery Dungeon: Equestrial Plains

A Hard Day's Night

Keldeo was pleased. For the past few days he had been in charge of training for fighting the Thunderclaps, and every single one of them had made progress. He had helped increase the speed between attacks to give the foes less time to counter. He increased the accuracy of magic and figured out how to give shields an elemental charge. It was Monday night and everyone was having dinner. Keldeo, however, had bigger things on his mind.
"I need to speak with both of you." He said as he entered the throne room.
"What's wrong, Keldeo? You look like you have something that's bugging you." Celestia said, concerned.
"There is. What if we fail to beat them? Blitzle assures me they outnumber the forces who can fight, and Darkrai and I don't want any civilian injuries. We may have equal power but the number we are going to be going up against could beat us. There needs to be a way to prevent civilians from getting hurt."
Luna smiled. "We already have it taken care of. After the recent Changeling invasion, we have taken precautions against any of our subjects getting harmed who aren't prepared for it. We have an escape plan, do not worry."
Keldeo nodded. "Excellent. Oh, and Darkrai wanted me to pass on a message. He said that he noticed some strange sort-of-nightmares on the loose, and wanted me to warn you that they don't appear to be abnormal at first glance. I figure it means something more to you than to me?" Luna nodded. "Great. Thank you for you time and giving us a place to train to fight the Thunderclaps. I will do everything I can to stop them."

--------------------------------------

Space was fluid. Time was up for debate. The laws of physics did not exist. In dreams, all were true and Darkrai was king. He flowed between dreams, keeping an eye of all dreams. He detected another presence in the dream he is in, and called out. "Hello Luna. Have you noticed any strange dreams?"
Luna walked over to him. "Yes. Some ponies are acting strange, as if they are somewhere else that they wish never to leave. Others are tired, even in their dream, but cannot stop dancing to strange music. Yet others are acting very violently, trying to fight anything or any pony that comes close. The last kind of strange dreams have the ponies floating not under their control. Other than those strange qualities, the dreams are normal. Have you any idea what's going on?"
"I have no idea. i was hoping I was imagining these strange dreams. However, it appears i had not been." Darkrai shook his head. "I do wish we could fix it, but my only guess is to unleash my power on them and then relent. The overload of nightmare should do a hard reset on their dreams, but it could force them awake with too much power."
"Then don't do it. They aren't nightmares, just strange dreams. There is something more you wished to speak to me of?" Luna questioned.
"Yes. I figured that giving a more in-depth review of legendary Pokemon would give you a better shot at not angering them, because some Pokemon aren't good at 'forgiving' or 'ignoring' anything that bugs them. Some can have major anger issues, but most only are quick to anger if some big thing has happened to them."
"Like coming to a world they don't recognize and where they are not recognized?" Luna smirked at Darkrai's silence.
It was 10 seconds before he spoke. "Yes. Like that. would you like me to start with the ones most likely to fit in or the ones who would stand out like a light in the darkness?"
Luna considered this. "I would prefer to ones less likely to attack first, as opposed to fitting in."
Darkrai chuckled. "As you wish. First would the Pokemon of songs..."

Raichu was sitting on a rock, eating an apple. "They won't know what hit them. Aside from it being us, of course."
Electivire looked at his leader. "Are you sure, sir? They have two legendary Pokemon on their side, and Blitzle is immune to our electric attacks. I fear they may have a fighting chance if they can get enough help."
Raichu laughed at him. "We have an army, they have maybe a battalion. Besides, we have our secret weapon. Not even Blitzle knows we have it. Too bad it has to be told what to do and can't figure it out on its own. Stupid, but insanely vicious and powerful."
"True. Perhaps it should occupy Mew and Darkrai for us, or perhaps I could fight Darkrai with my fighting-type attacks and it could take Mew."
Raichu smirked. It was an unsettling smirk, but Electivire did not voice that opinion. "Great idea. HEY! YOU!" Raichu called out. Two red dots appeared in the darkness. "New orders: When you see Mew and Darkrai, destroy them. Got it, amigo?"
The red dots glowed brighter. In a strange, flat, robotic voice, it replied. "MEW. DARKRAI. DESTROY."
