It started out like any other day, Rainbow Dash woke up to Tank once again hitting her on the head. She got out of bed and got ready to clear the skies according to the weather report given to her earlier that week. Today was also the day that Pinkie Pie would try to interrupt her as she would clear the skies but Pinkie wasn't there to bother her. After her shift was done she headed towards Sugar Cube Corner to see why Pinkie wasn't there to speak with her today, she really missed her shenanigans. She entered to see that everypony was there to congratulate her on something.
"Hey guys what's this all about?"
"This is your 'farewell party' Dashie!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
"W-what do you mean farewell party? I'm not leaving anywhere."
"What she means to say is congratulations on your acceptance" Twilight said as she handed her the letter.
Rainbow Dash squealed at the sight of the letter. She sent in her qualifications to the Wonderbolts Academy and she patiently waited until the day that she got the obvious acceptance letter. Everypony waited for what it said. The room fell completely silent even Pinkie who normally would break the silence. Rainbow opened up the letter with a confused look on her face.
"What does it say?!" yelled Pinkie.
"It isn't from the Academy. Its from somepony though."
"Well darling read it aloud so we can all hear" said Rarity.
"Ok It says 'Hello and congratulations for being the fastest thing from your home land of EQUESTRIA. You and six friends are invited to a race that is in your honor. You will also meet many other fast beings from different lands such as EARTH, MOBIUS, and THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM. So come to these coordinates at 9:00 a.m. sharp tomorrow and be a part of this Universal Event. 38°8’0” N, 121°15’38” W.'"
"So its a race well that will be fun to see" said Twilight.
"Well those fellas better be really fast cause Rainbow will probably leave them in the dust" Applejack said confidently to her friends.
"Yeah because nopony's faster then our own Rainbow Dash" yelled Pinkie
"Quite right, I do believe that Rainbow Dash will hand it to them" Rarity said.
"Not that I don't think that you're fast but do be careful Rainbow Dash" said Fluttershy.
Rainbow Dash isn't the one to show much emotion but she surely blushed when she heard all of the great things that her friends were giving her and she liked it. She felt like the luckiest pony of all Equestria and she wanted to thank them in the only way possible.
"Thank you guys so much," she said almost with a tear. "To show how much I care for you guys I'll bring you and Spike along with me."
With that the gang of ponies cheer in excitement and they leave to get things ready for tomorrow. Twilight was thinking on the way to the castle about those other "lands" and if she has ever heard of them before. She continued thinking until she was at the castle doors and Spike answered the doors. She passes the baby dragon and continues into the library portion of the castle and locked herself in. The others were well on there way with packing their stuff for this trip and many could barely sleep for the amazing day that awaits them.
Twilight reads on to find out what these strange places are and she still can't find anything on Earth, Mobius or The Mushroom Kingdom.
"Ugh, Spike did you find anything on the places I told you to look up?" yelled Twilight in frustration.
"Ah, no but I'll keep on looking until I do" said Spike.
" I don't think you need to Spike because this is the final book and nothing on these places so this must mean that they aren't from Equestria, but if that's so then where are they from?"
"I don't know but I think its time to hit the hay."
"Its ok Spike, I'll continue on to see if we missed anything see you tomorrow."
The time has come for the gang to be at the coordinates. The first one there was Rainbow Dash ready to meet these ponies that think they are faster then her, but nopony was there. This confused her making her think that she might have read the coordinates wrong, but she did check and she was exactly where they said she needed to be. Then soon enough the rest start to show up even more confused then the last. Finally when Twilight and Spike showed up they started to think out loud.
"What in the hay is going on?"
"Where is everypony?" asked Pinkie.
"Twilight darling, please tell us what is going on here?"
"Well I was up last night and apparently those places aren't in Equestria?"
"Well where's it at then?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"That's just it, I don't know where it is."
"Well, what are we going to do now?" asked Applejack.
Then as if on cue something shows up and it scared them. It was a disk shape and it was no bigger than Ponyville's town hall. It just sat there for a minute and then it spoke with a thunderous voice.
"Which one of you is Rainbow Dash?"
They sat in silence until Rainbow Dash spoke up to the huge disk.
"I-I am" she stuttered.
With that the disk started to spin and spark, spouting lightning and light up. In the blink of an eye it zapped Rainbow Dash and she was gone. The rest of them all screamed and started running around. One by one the disk started to zap up the rest of them until only Spike and Twilight were left and before Twilight could do anything she and Spike were also zapped up by the disk. When the ship was done with its zapping it vanished without a trace. The only thing left was burned patches of grass and rocks.
