//------------------------------// // One Afternoon // Story: One Afternoon At The Dazzlings // by Sapphire the Gem //------------------------------// Aria Blaze walked promptly home from school. It had been yet another boring day of seemingly endless lectures about things that she already knew. She had been doing this since the Battle of the Bands, five months prior, when she and her sisters lost the battle and their pendents to the Rainbooms. All was well between the two former rivals now, as matter of fact, the Rainbooms would become the Dazzlings only friends in all of CHS. The other students still had their doubts about the three sirens and often pretended that they didn't even exist. At least they don't try to kill us every time we see them anymore, Aria thought, shuddering as she remembered having to save Sonata from some weird jerk who was about to punch her in the face. In the end it was Adagio and Sunset Shimmer who saved them both. Aria smiled at the memory as she made her way up the stairs to the Dazzlings' apartment. Whenever she reached the room Aria reached into her pocket, pulled out the keys, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. The apartment was a pretty decent size with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a family room, and a small kitchen. The first room was the family room, which had the kitchen to the right, on the left were two doors that lead to the girls' bedrooms. Aria sighed and tossed her backpack on the table and made her way to the room that she and Sonata were forced to share. The room had two twin beds, one on each side of the room, half of the room was pink the other was teal. Aria quietly sat down on her bed. The teal wall next to her was plain along with the other walls of that color. The only thing of Aria's that had a pattern of any kind was her star pattered bedspread. It was the polar opposite of Sonata's pink walls covered with posters even her bed had about ten plush animals on it. Aria looked around the room normally Sonata was already talking on and on about her day, or Adagio was lecturing them both about getting along, but not today. Sonata was currently hanging out at Taco Bell with that crazy party girl, Pinkie Pie, and Adagio was out searching for new pendents. This gave Aria an opportunity to skip her homework and play her favorite game, Five Nights At Freddy's. Aria smiled again as she pulled out her phone and opened the app (she only had the demo but who cares). Once the main menu was up it had the name of the game, play icon, and in the background was Freddy Fazbear. The screen was designed to look like something from the Eighty's, glitching every so often to reveal Freddy's exoskeleton for a second or so and then went back to normal. Aria grabbed her pillow and tried to make it into a suitable backrest. Once she was satisfied, Aria tapped the play button on the screen. It took about thirty seconds to load, but in the end it was worth it. The game started and Aria could finally take a break from her day. That was until the screen went to a image of Freddy's face. Aria shrugged, "I've never seen that death screen before." Aria waited patently for the game to finish loading, but, it never did. Aria suddenly got a strange feeling, one that she hadn't felt sense that one weirdo stallion, back in Equestria, was spying on her and her sisters. She felt like she was being watched. Aria looked up from her game and saw Freddy Fazbear himself standing in front of her. Aria felt her heart pounding in her chest. She swallowed hard and tried to hide her fear. Freddy looked at her like a dingo looks a baby. A smirk appeared on his face and he took a step closer to Aria. Losing all control Aria shrieked and ran out of the room and into the kitchen. Thinking fast she grabbed a large kitchen knife and held it close. It didn't take long for Freddy to wander on into the kitchen and spot Aria. "Stay back!" She cautioned the robotic bear, "I've got a knife and I'm not afraid to use it!" Freddy stared deep into Aria's eyes in the creepiest way possible. Aria stood her ground she couldn't let him catch her. Not now. What if the others are near by? Aria began to feel afraid. Very afraid. Freddy seemed to sense this change in behavior and lunged. Aria tried to dodge the attack, but he already had her pinned to the wall. Aria maneuvered the knife she was holding, out of his grasp, and stuck it straight into Freddy's neck joint. The robotic bear cried out, as if it were in pain, and tried to bite Aria. Trying to avoid being bitten, Aria, barely managed to slit all of Freddy's main wires. Freddy suddenly released Aria and fell to the ground. Aria stood there watching as her opponent faded away into nothing more than a memory. The sound of children cheering echoed through the apartment. No it was clear that Aria had won. After a couple of hours Adagio and Sonata returned. Aria smiled when they entered, "So what's up?" Adagio sighed and placed her and Sonata's bags on the table. "No luck." She muttered. Aria's smile tuned to a frown. After a few seconds she decided to change the subject, "Sonata what about you?" I don't think that I even have to ask. "It was great!" Sonata replied, "After Taco Bell we started to go shopping, and even came across Adagio!" "So what about you, Aria?" Adagio asked. Aria froze at the question, "What did you say?" "I mean, how was your afternoon? You're acting kinda off. Besides you only act this way if something is bothering you." "Okay fine!" Aria snapped, "I was nearly killed by Freddy Fazbear!" Adagio and Sonata looked at each other for a couple of seconds before they burst out in laughter. "Oh Aria!" Sonata snickered, "Were you playing that dumb old game again!" Aria mentally kicked her self, Stupid! You know that they'll never believe you! "Yes." Adagio tried to stop laughing at her sister, "Well if it scared you that much then you shouldn't be playing it." "It didn't!" Aria retorted, "It's just one character is looks an awful lot like that teddy bear on Sonata's bed!" Sonata gasped with surprise, "Why would you compare that creepy old thing to Mr. Ted!" "Because," Aria replied, "He wears a hat, a bow tie and is brown! He is a perfect match!" Before Sonata could say something else Adagio stepped between them. "Girls, please, don't start." Aria and Sonata glared at each other one final time before they went their separate ways. Sonata marched off to her room, and Aria collapsed on the couch, for a long nap.
