//------------------------------// // A Rendez-Vous with a Twist // Story: I Hate You ≠ I Love You // by LE_MALEM //------------------------------// Equestria Girls Universe - School Grounds - Nighttime The stars illuminated the sky as they complimented the full moon's shine. For some people this was a regular night like the others, but for Applebloom and Diamond Tiara, this was a fateful night. Speaking of which, we can see Applebloom setting up the picnic blanket and basket full of fruits, especially apples, on the green grassy field. She also set up a vase of flowers in the middle. As she finished preparing, she sat down, waiting for her girlfriend to arrive. "Sorry I am late, Bloomie." announced Diamond from behind, carrying a basket of her own. Giving a quick kiss to her love, she sat down and unpacked the dinner pot she brought in. "Spaghetti Carbonara with meatballs and cheese made by yours truly." Despite her being the ultimate bully, Applebloom knew for a fact that she was an excellent cook. In fact, she knew for a fact that Diamond loved anything related to home economics. She tasted her dishes in secret before and she was bedazzled by her skills. She said to her that their family chef taught her a bit. Anyways, Applebloom's mouth was watering at the sight of the food but she was watering even more at the sight of Diamond herself: She had her hair down instead of pigtails and her brooch was on a trendy purple jacket as well as her usual grey skirt. "I-it's rude to stare too much, you know?" said Diamond, blushing with her hands on her cheeks. "O-oh, sorry Dee. But... wow, just, wow... Ah have no words at all. Y'all really went all out for this one." admitted Applebloom, eyes still fixated on the beauty in front of her: She could't believe that she is the same person of two years ago. "Ah almost forgot!" she searched her basket for candles. "Oh yeah! That!" Diamond did the same as she pulled out a luxurious silver candelabra as they set it up and light it. (I recommend putting some violin romantic music). The mood was set up and everything was ready. All that was missing was a sacred oath that they vowed to make on this day so they sat on a praying position. "I, Applebloom/Diamond Tiara," they said in unison "regret ever causing you harm. In the name of God and our love, we swear that we will never be separate no matter the circumstances will be for she has let me see another side never to be seen by anyone except your Omniscience and has opened my heart to see it bloom towards a brighter future. And we thank you today for your kind blessings of life, happiness, food and especially true love. Amen!" As they finished, they opened their eyes. Smiling towards each other, they gracefully grabbed their forks and started eating in a breathtaking silence. They sometimes fed each other, sharing the meatballs and wiping sauce out of their faces. The plate lasted till its last noodles. Unaware of the fact, they started eating the last strand until their faces almost met. They decided to go in for the big finale when suddenly... "I told you, Sweetie Belle! There was a ghost haunting the school after all." the voice of Scootaloo ringed from afar. That made the couple cut the last noodle as they turned their heads towards the source of the noise. "Aw c'mon! Why today of all days?" whispered Applebloom "Oh man! What should we do?" As they started panicking while packing up the stuff, blowing out the candles and clattering the stuff into the baskets. "It's coming from there! Hurry!" Sweetie Belle excitedly said as her and Scootaloo ran towards the source of the noise. "We have no time to pick up the stuff. We need to go, now!" whispered Diamond as she held Applebloom's hand and left everything as it was. They couldn't run away for long as they were stuffed from eating that delicious food so they were exhausted rather quickly. "*pant* We will never lose them. Ah know them. They're good at finding stuff and they will not have trouble finding us sooner or later." said Applebloom, sweating bullets. "*pant* What do you suggest then?" asked Diamond as Applebloom scouted her surroundings. And then, a miracle happened as the statue started glowing abnormally. The lovers couldn't believe what they just saw until Applebloom started speaking. "Ah know what that is! I didn't believe it from mah own sister but that's where the princess of the ball formal as well as the lead singer of the Rainbooms, Twilight Sparkle, came from." "I have to agree with your sister on this one, Applebloom." said Diamond with a mischievous grin on her face. "Let's do it!" "What? Are ya out of your noggins Diamond? We don't know what's behind there." yelled Applebloom. "Let's just consider it a vacation into the unknown then, right?" said Diamond with a shrug. "Touché, Diamond. Touché indeed. Let's do it y'all." Applebloom said as they charged towards the portal, which closed as soon as they went in. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle couldn't see anything, as if it was really a ghost that made that picnic back then but all of us know that was not the case. Ponyville - Night Time - Friendship Castle From the other side of the portal, two figures appeared falling straight into their faces: A yellow coated filly with a red bow tie and crimson mane and a pinkish filly with a wavy white and purple mane and a tiara on her head. Rubbing their heads in pain, they looked at each other in horror as Diamond was about to yell when Applebloom put a hoof into her mouth. "Shhhhhhh... mind your surroundings." whispered Applebloom, gathering Diamond's attention to the huge room with the portal. The room itself was full of books scattered everywhere. Diamond simply nodded as she noticed Applebloom trotting towards the exit. She tried to get up but failed a couple of times before trotting slowly but surely. "How can you be acclimated to this new body that fast?" asked Diamond. "Well these bodies are those of small horses so ah just thought that ah am a horse and there ya go." at this sentence, Diamond snickered. "Are you aware of what you said, dear Bloomie?" Diamond hardly contained her laughter as she stuffed a hoof in her mouth. "What did ah even say? ah said we're hor- oh!" realizing her own choice of words, she released a laughter that could awake the whole building. Diamond quickly put her hoof on Applebloom's mouth. "And you say that I should be quiet!" blamed Diamond. "Sorry..." Applebloom hunched her head which made Diamond blush at how absolutely cute this new Applebloom is so she snuggled her with her new found muzzle. "It's okay. Let's keep going! We have no idea where we are and something tells me that we are not alone in this humongous place." Applebloom nodded as she followed suit. As she followed her, she noticed something on Diamond's... flank. She pointed with her hoof at it. "Since when did you get a tattoo, Dee?!" she exclaimed. "A tattoo? Where?" Diamond looked at her own flank to see a blue tiara branded on it from both sides. "I never had tattoos, Bloomie. Besides they hurt like hell, don't they?" She noticed Applebloom's flank but it was completely yellow and bare. "Yours do not have tattoos. I wonder why?" "Yeahhhhh, indeed..." Applebloom pondered as they kept trotting through the halls. Finally, they reached a huge door; luckily for them, it was open. "Whoever is the owner of this house is the most carefree person ever, if the owner is a person."* said Diamond "Ummmmmm, ah might be not sure that it's a house, Dee." retorted Applebloom as she pointed at the house which was a gigantic crystal tree-like castle. Diamond's mouth went agape. "What kind of castle doesn't have guards? This makes no sense whatsoever!"** exclaimed Diamond, stomping her hooves on the ground from anger. "No need to be mad, Dee. We have a whole town ahead of us so we better giddy up." said Applebloom as they galloped under the moonlight. Seeing the moon's reflection shining on the silver object that's attached on the tall building, they decided to go in there and spend the rest of the night sleeping on the tourniquet besides the building but not before kissing each other goodnight. CHS Applebloom's POV - Diary It was natural that we did see no one in town; it was night after all. But believe me when I say what Dee and I saw will exceed your wildest imagination.
