Applebloom’s eyes widened in shock as her mind went numb, many questions then began arise in her mind.
How did she know?!
Was she spying on me earlier when ah was with Sunset?
Why me?! Why now?!!
“Applebloom?”
This snapped Applebloom out of her thoughts as she turned to look at her sister, Applejack who was still staring at her, awaiting an answer from her.
“Ah…um….h-how d-did y-you k-know?” Applebloom stuttered, worried.
“Ah am your big sis, ah have mah ways of finding out, like, for example it was easy to know you left school to go see Sunset Shimmer to talk to her. Otherwise, why would you just leave school for no apparent reason.” Applejack answered as-a-matter-of-factly to her shocked sister. Before asking her again in a serious and annoyed tone impatient for an answer:
“Now, what were yer doing at Sunset’s house!?”
Applebloom’s mind began to quickly search for a reasonable answer that would put off her sisters suspicion. Finally, she came up with one. One that was the truth.
“Ah…went to apologize to Sunset Shimmer, what ah did was wrong…so wrong. Ah was selfish, to the point where ah had to ruin someone’s life to make mine better, ah hurt her, you, your friends and everyone in the school f-for mahself…ah’m no Apple just a selfish and spoiled little brat. Ah’m so sorry sis a-ah understand if you wouldn’t want to talk to me and hate me, but when a-ah s-saw you with Sunset, ah thought t-that you wouldn’t w-want to spent time with me during Hearts Warming Eve. A-Ah’m so sorry….
Applebloom was feeling really horrible and guilty now as fresh tears started to stream down her face and drip down onto her pajamas, and all those words that she spoke was not of an excuse to avoid her sister’s suspicions but to admit of her wrong doings. She hated herself as more tears came out of her eyes and she started crying.
Applejack was shocked that her sister was downgrading herself to the point where she wasn’t fit to be in the Apple family and slowly, she began to embrace her crying sister into a warm sisterly hug, in which Applebloom accepted quickly and cried softly in her arms. All her suspicions of her being at Sunset’s house for….reasons were diminished as she saw that her sister was truly sorry and trying to make up for her wrong actions.
“Ah’m sorry”
“Ah’m sorry”
“Ah’m sorry…..”
“Applebloom, lil sis, ah’ll always love you no matter what, even if you make some of the darnest stupidest mistakes ah’ll still forgive you, yes, ah was really angry with you when ah found out that you were the one behind those postings…but ah forgive ya, because that’s what us big sister’s are supposed to do, we look out, love and teach our younger siblings from their mistakes. Ah’ll always love you Applebloom, sis, because you’re my most precious Apple and that ah can be darn honest with you.”
Applejack’s calm and comforting tone was like a wave of comfort which calmed her crying sister down to sniffles.
“Now wipe away those tears lil sis.” Applejack said as she took out a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped away her tears and she began tucked her little sister in her bed.
“Thank you big sis ah’ll always love you too…” Applebloom sniffed touched and happy by her sisters words, before wiggling under her covers. Applejack then switched off the lights and turned on the nightlight which was next to her sisters bedside. Just as she was about to open the door of the little sisters bedroom she stopped and turned to face her sister who was tucked in and getting sleepy.
“Oh and Applebloom? Promise me you’ll never EVER think that you are not part of the Apple family, after all you’re the apple of mah eye. Ah love you sis.” Applejacks tone was soothing and brought great happiness to her sisters ears.
“Ah promise sis and ah love you too more than anything.” Applebloom said softly before drifting off to sleep.
Applejack smiled and left her sisters room as she too, prepared for bed and drifted of sleep into the land of dreams, the smile still on her face.
It was a new day, for everybody especially the Mane 5 and Applebloom as today was the day that they were to carry out their plan on surprise apology for Sunset along with the rest of the students.
Applejack had already told her little sister her plans for Sunset an Applebloom eagerly agreed to it, after all, the plan was going to be a surprising and wonderful one that was going to sweep Sunset of her feet. The Mane 5, Applebloom and everyone else at Canerlot High was going to show Sunset how much she means to them as a friend.
Sunset was at her apartment preparing to leave and her hooded friend was already gone, for she went to observe on the Mane 5 from a more careful distance.
Sunset closed her apartment door and locked it tight, after double-checking that her door was locked tight again, she then made her way down to the streets of the town. Recently, after quitting her studies she decided to take a job as a cashier in a local mart downtown. She had already brought her uniform and was going to change in the bathroom within the local mart later.
As she walked down the street which was pretty much empty, she was being followed by four male figures who wore hoods to conceal their faces. Sunset was aware of them following her, so she quickened her pace but the hooded figures continued to follow her as they too quickened their pace to keep up with her.
Sunset felt fear rising up to her throat as she thought what horrible business those figures might do to her if they caught her, so she took of running, but the four figures saw this and began to chase after her. Sunset tried to make any possible tight and unexpected turns, trying to shake her pursuers of but no avail. Just was she was starting to get out of breath, she made one last attempt to shake them off by turning a right corner into a dead end and hiding behind a large dumpster.
Sunset saw that the figures ran straight ahead thinking that she was ahead and not noticing where she was hiding. She then sighed as relieve washed over her in a satisfying way and she got up from the dumpster. Suddenly, she heard footsteps from where her back was facing and she saw that her pursuers had returned.
Sunset was now terrified and fear continued to build up in her piece by piece, as she backed away from them until her back hit the wall.
“P-Please w-what d-do y-you want f-from m-me?! I’m j-just an o-ordinary g-girl l-living a-an o-ordinarily l-life. P-Please d-don’t hurt me. P-Please!” Sunset was so terrified that she started stuttering as she kept her eyes on the four figures as they advanced closer to her. Tears began to stream down her face as she tried not to imagine what fate had in stored for her if they caught her.
In her desperation, Sunset thought of trying to use magic on them, but remembered that she was a human and not a magical unicorn equine. Suddenly as quick as lighting, two of the figures charged towards her and grabbed both her arms, preventing her from running away or trying to attack them. Another figure then pulled what look like a sack to cover her face.
Sunset gave them a pleading look as she muttered softly:
“P-Please….”
The figure said nothing as he pulled the sack over her head, but just before the sack had completely covered her face, Sunset managed one last desperate scream in hope that someone, anyone would hear her, no such luck. As they began to drag her away….
