//------------------------------// // Ah'm Sorry Sunset.... // Story: Sunset's Gone // by sapphirebluez //------------------------------// Sunset Shimmer was at her apartment, writing some important notes in her journal. Suddenly, there was a rather loud knock on her door and Sunset went to open it. When she opened her door, she saw a small figure standing in front of the doorway which turned out to be Applebloom, before Sunset could even open her mouth to say anything, Applebloom quickly cut her off. “ Ya don’t have to say anything Sunset, ah know mah mistakes and ah came to apologize, even if ya don’t forgive me, ah understand, ah ruined your life, destroyed your friendships, made ya miserable and much much more. Ah have received severe punishment from Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna which was a eight-month detention, even though ah feel like ah deserve more. Ah’m sorry Sunset even if ya don’t don’t forgive me ah understand…” Applebloom said miserably, as she pulled a small package out of her pocket and gave it Sunset. Sunset’s face however remained unchanged, a face of no emotion as she took the small package and opened it. Inside was a small bracelet made with beautiful ruby shaped jewels matching Sunset’s fiery red hair and light amber skin and in the middle was a sun, half yellow and half red matching her cutie mark. Sunset was quiet while observing the gift that Applebloom gave her before saying a rather appreciative but serious tone. “I like the gift, Thank you Applebloom, but don’t expect one little gift to melt me and make forgive as that won’t work.” “Ah know Sunset, ah have a lot to do t earn your trust, forgiveness and friendship again.” Applebloom said sadly and teary-eyed as she turned to walk away. As quick as lightning Sunset Shimmer grabbed her arm and quickly covered her mouth to muffle any screams from the young cowgirl before dragging her inside her apartment and bolting the door shut. “P-Please S-Sunset ah’m s-so s-sorry d-don’t hurt m-me!” Applebloom sobbed, frightened of Sunset’s strange behavior before feeling a warm embrace around her. Applebloom was shocked beyond measures that Sunset had hugged her even after what she had done and when the hug finished Applebloom looked up at Sunset with eyes as wide as ever. “W-Why???” Back at Canterlot High the Mane 5 was preparing and planning their speeches during their free time in the classroom when all the other students were gone. “All right yall ah have decide on who should go first-” Applejack was cut of as a massive “THUMP” was heard. Everyone whipped their heads around and saw a hooded figure which was supposedly hiding inside one of the school cabinets fall out and landed on its rump with a ‘OOF’. The Mane 5 were quiet as they stared in shock and horror and the hooded figure used this as an advantage and got a massive head start but they quickly recovered and started persuading the hooded figure which was now running down the hallways while pushing students out of its way. Rainbow Dash, being the most athletic and the fastest in the group caught up with the figure just as it was about to reach the door and blocked its way. “ALRIGHT YA SPYING SUKERFISH!! YOU’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!” Rainbow screamed, as her friends and several students began surrounding her an started to close in on her. But just before any of them could do anything the hooded figure took something out of her cloak, a amethyst gem which produced a blinding flash of light which temporary blinded everyone and by the time they recovered from the blinding light all there saw was a black patch, where the hooded figure once stood…… Sunset Shimmer was now pouring a glass of apple juice for Applebloom and herself as she sat at a table in Sunset’s kitchen in her apartment. Sunset then set down a plate of oatmeal cookies but Applebloom was too shock to eat them. “Aww come on!! Why are you so quiet?! You looked like you’ve been through a horrible nightmare and back” Sunset asked Applebloom casually as if nothing had ever happened. “Why did you hug me Sunset? After all the thing ah’ve done to you you’ve hugged me like you’ve forgiven me….! Applebloom muttered sadly as she stared down at the plate of cookies in front of her. “Exactly!” Sunset said cheerfully. “ But why?? What ah did was dishonored thing to do, why?? WHY???!!” Applebloom said slamming her hands on the table with some tears at the tip of her eyelids. “Because I had forgiven you for a really long time now, yes, I was furious, hurt and betrayed when I found out it was you, but let’s just say we’re equal now.” Sunset explained as she took a cookie and began munching on it. Applebloom’s mind began to fill with wonder and questions when Sunset said those words. What had she meant by ‘equal’. “What do ya mean equal??” she questioned her voice full of curiosity and bewilderment. “Well, remember when that time I was the biggest, meanest and roughest school bully in Canterlot High?? Also that time when I turned into that ranging she-demon and enslaved you and everyone to go to war with another dimension?? Well…..let’s just say we’re more then equal now.” Sunset said in between munches of her oatmeal cookie in which she was enjoying. “But stil-” Applebloom was then interrupted by a ‘HUSH’ in which Sunset made. “Come on!! I was a jerk, acted that way for years and tried to enslave you!! Try and top that!!” Sunset exclaimed while taking a sip of her apple juice. Suddenly in a bright flash of light the hooded figure appeared in the kitchen and again landing on its rump with a ‘OOF’. Applebloom started to back away fearfully from the hooded figure while Sunset Shimmer began to casually walk over to it as if she had seen it before. “WHADDAYA DOING SUNSET!!” Applebloom screamed and feared the most for Sunset. “Hush now, this is a friend, not a foe.” Sunset said calmely as the figure whispered something to Sunset’s ear. “Oh no! I told you to be careful, silly!” Sunset scolded. The figure rubbed the back of its head sheepishly before showing the notes that it had wrote down before it accidentally revealed itself. Meanwhile Applebloom was terrified as she stared at the figure cautiously watching its every move as if it was about to do something to her that would harm her. “Don’t worry, I told you she’s a friend, not a foe.” Sunset addressed to the still terrified Applebloom calmly while flipping through the notes that her hooded friend had gathered. “Who….are you?” Applebloom asked timidly as she continued to watch the figure carefully while not making any sudden moves. The figure looked at Sunset as if to as ‘Should I do it?’, Sunset set down the notebook on the table and nodded her head as if to say ‘Yes’. The figure then sighed and pulled back its hood revealing its face. Applebloom backed away as shock hit her like a slap in the face as her head started spinning as she muttered. “No, it can’t be you….How is this possible?”
