Friday The 13th

The Final Friday

The crystal mare was running faster than she has ever gone before. The pink pegasus would've flown but her wings were stabbed through. The woods surrounded her on all sides, the dead trees reminding her of her friends fate. The mare choked back tears, the faces of her five friends haunting her memory.

"Th-That f-fucker!" She spat, remembering the masked being that ruined her vacation. A snap of a twig caused her ears to turn to the sound. She glanced behind her and screamed. The dull blue earth pony was still behind her. Its brown coat tattered and its hockey mask stained with blood. The mask didn't go all the way down, instead it broke off near the muzzle. A machete gripped in its disfigured mouth. The few seconds spent looking at the monster was a few seconds too many. The mares hooves got caught up in a vine and she slipped to the ground. Quick as lightning, the monster was upon her.

"How in Celestia's name are you so fast?" She screamed. The monster tilted its head. Bringing it quickly to the other side created a sickening pop. The mare screamed once more and leapt to the right as a machete stabbed into the forest floor. The monster growled as it tugged the machete out of the ground. The mare took off once more. This time she was determined not to look back. This proved extremely hard as the sound of the monsters hooves hitting the ground increased in sound but decreased in distance. A woosh of air warned the mare and she leapt to the side just as the machete flew through the space her head once vacated. The monster slammed into the mares side, knocking her into a tree. Several bones cracked. With blood in her eyes, the mare rose slowly. The monster stood before her. With fear in her eyes, she began to gallop.

She neared the cabin she and her friends were staying at. The wooden cabin had looked better before. The door was broken in, one of the walls was broken down, and several of the windows was destroyed. The corpse of a leaf green pony laid on the porch. The unicorns head had been cut off. Suppressing a vomit, the mare ran inside. Blood covered nearly every surface. Souvenirs from previous horrors. A purple pegasus corpse was shoved inside the television. This time, the living mare did vomit. She puked until she had nothing left to puke. The door slammed open and the monster shambled in. The monster looked over its handiwork and chuckled. The mare ran upstairs, the monster behind her. A gray pony was thrown into the barrister. The mare entered the room she chose and she reached for her car keys. The monster entered the bedroom and threw itself at the mare. She leapt to the left and ran out the room.

Once she was outside, she began to run towards where she parked the car. The monstrous beast still behind her. As she ran, she picked up a rock and tossed it behind her. Rock meet hockey mask with a crunch. The beast stumbled a little but quickly regained its footing. The race continued. The two runners reached the parked car more or less at the same time. The mare struggled to put the keys into the car but they fell onto the ground.

"Shit!" She cursed. She ran around the car as the monster chased her. Her plan to go around was ruined as the monster simply smashed into the hood, stabbing the engine repeatedly. The earth pony emerged from the wrecked car the face of rage. It was time to end this. It tackled the mare and the two ponies fell down a hill. They rolled through bushes and trees, hitting rocks and branches. A sudden upheaval of dirt threw the two through the air. The mare landed on a dock while the monster landed in the lake. The mare noticed an oar nearby. She picked it up and slammed it into the monsters swimming head. The oar broke on impact. The beast pulled itself on the deck.

"Why! Won't! You! Die?!" She screamed. The monster stayed silent in reply. The mare turned tail and ran back into the dead forest. The monster was walking behind her, somehow keeping up with a galloping pegasus. The mare growled and turned around.

"Come out you killing bastard!" She screamed. The trees swayed in response . The monstrous form of the blue earth pony emerged from the trees.

"You've killed my friends! Shattered my wings! My bones!" She screamed. "I will not let you kill me!" With that, she tackled the monster. The earth pony was shocked at the mares bravado. The two slammed into a rock. The mare picked up the beasts head and slammed it into the rock. Schlam! Schlam!!! SCHLAM! Blood poured from the monsters skull as it cracked. The mare was panting, looking at her bloodied hooves in terror. She rose to her hooves and started limping away. The memories of her friends murders filled her mind. Tears refilled her eyes as she slumped to the ground. A low growl rang from behind her.

"N-no. No!" The mare turned around and screamed. The monsters skull was still bloodied and broken. Purple electricity flowed through his wounds, healing him and mending his bones. The monster growled once more and leapt.

Mason Voorhooves held the head of the pink mare in his teeth. With a grunt, he tossed it into a pile of severed heads. Situated above those was the head of the one pony Mason respected. Madam Voorhooves. With a small bow, Mason left the decrepit shack and entered the forest again. Mother says others will come to Camp Crystal Lake. She says the most infamous lake in all the Crystal Empire would attract attention. And Mother's never wrong.
