Rainbow Dash layed on her bed throwing a red ball up in the air, bored out of her mind. Man I wish something exciting would happen. thought Dash.

All of a sudden a thunderstorm rolled in and fast and Scootaloo was sleeping on the other side of her bed, un aware of the thunderstorm outside. Dash tried to wake Scoot up but to no avail so she went outside and saw a massive lightning storm brewing. Her first option would be to stay inside but as always her curiosity got the better of her, so she decided to check it out and probably take a closer look.

"Whoa that storm is going crazy!" said Dash.

Dash inched closer to where it was hitting the most, a gold shaped medallion layed on the hard cold ground getting hit by lightning each time. Rainbow ran up to the medallion and picked it up ensuring that no one else would take it from her.

"Wonder what you can do." said Dash putting on the medallion.

The lightning bolt medallion began to zap and twist like crazy as if it was possessed or something. Rainbow tried to take it off but the medallion held on to her neck tightly and was showing no signs of letting go which made Dash float into panic mode quickly. The sparks began to grow bigger and bigger until it released a powerful EMP to disrupt all electronic devices including street lights, televisions, cars that run on electricity, etc.

"Whoa this is too real." said Dash.

She grabbed the medallion and cause a lightning storm that ran for miles.

"This is too cool! But who do I tell about it?" asked Dash who was curious of who she could tell.

Beyond the city there lived someone who saw the lightning strike.

"Hmm...such amazing power, It would be such a shame to steal that amount of power."

Rainbow Dash looked at her hands noticing the electricity flowing around her body. A thunderstorm revealed a staff with a thunderbolt on the tip of it, the sight of it made Dash's eyes sparkle like a Christmas Tree.

"This is totally awesome!" said Dash.

Scootaloo walked outside rubbing her eyes and yawning.

"Dash what's going on?" asked Scootaloo sleepily.

"Scoot you'll never believe this! This medallion that I found granted me lightning powers using this staff!" said Dash with a smile on her face.

"I'll bet...so are you still coming back home to bed?" asked Scootaloo.

"Yeah I'll be there in a minute." said Dash, still examing her new powers.

Her little sister went back inside the house to go to bed. Dash stayed outside and continued examing her fingertips then a thought came into her mind, she should be a force for good and destroy all injustice in her world.

"But what will my superhero name be?" asked Dash.

It would have to wait until morning.
