//------------------------------// // Chapter 2 "There's a Stallion In My Yard!" // Story: These Little Wonders // by cmg12344 //------------------------------// Switch to Pinkie I was just sitting down, playing with Gummy. We were playing around, and spinning in a circle when it happened. Boom! Boosh! Bang! Crash! My yard got hit! I screamed and hid Gummy, hoping he was alright. The thing that hit my yard had made a bunch of scary smoke in my yard, which made it hard for me to see what it was. My hooves got cold. My mane twitched. My tummy felt warmer. And that meant someone new was going to come into somepony's life! I ran through the now thinning smoke, and tilted my head in confuzzlion. (It's my made up word, 'cause confusion is too fancy!) It was someone new alright. A new Pegasus stallion! His ruffled and dirty blue fur was rising steadily, so he was alive. I hoped. He was obviously knocked out from the fall. "You're coming with me you yard, wreaker upper!" I giggled, as if this was a game So I heaved him onto my back and started zooming off toward the Ponyville Hospital. His black mane flew in the wind crazily like my own at the time. Once I got there, I was disappointed to see what Nurse Red Heart was saying. "You can't just say he fell out of the sky!" Red Heart exclaimed, waving her hooves in the air. "Then how does he have all the scratches? He fell into my back-yard!" I quickly retorted, glancing at the stallion's room. She sighed in slight defeat, "You know what? I don't know! Why don't you just keep him at your house for a while, maybe he'll wake up and remember he had things to do." I waved my hoof at the tired white mare. "Ah, but what kind of things?" Nurse Red Heart snapped a pencil in half and screeched, "Out! I can't handle it any longer! Just take the stallion and leave!" "But-" "OUT! NOW!" I scowled and started to drag the stallion onto my back, hoping he was comfortable, even if his hooves were slightly scrapping the ground. I galloped out and looked back to see the stallion. He had a pretty face. I smiled and ran harder so he could get to a warm place fast. His front-hooves slightly shook, he was going to wake up! I ran into Sugarcube Corner and ran upstairs with a friendly glance at tired, old Mr. Cake. Struggling, I put the stallion on my blue and pink cupcake bed. He murmured in his sleep and snuggled against the pillow like a cute puppy. I giggled, and tilted my head. He looked cute when he slept. I got out a blanket quietly and laid it on him. He smiled. It always did make me happy when I'd made someone smile...
