Chapter 1: Paper Airplanes

It's the time of day, where winter break is officially over, and students have to go to school again, people rush to their classes like a maniac, while others sleep in, just like Aria and Adagio, who didn't quite get the catch that is class time. RING RING! the alarm rang noisily. "Ugh, Aria, could you get that?" Adagio moaned.

"Fine," Aria sighed and slammed the alarm to turn it off, and it ended up falling to the ground, still constantly ringing.

"WHY WON'T THIS STUPID ALARM TURN OFF!?" Aria yelled, stomping on the alarm.

"Aria, just use the switch to turn it off. Use common sense," Adagio said, as she face palmed herself.

Aria flipped the switch, which finally, became silent. "Now back to bed!"

Wait, where is Sonata? Adagio thought as she took a peek at Sonata's bed. Huh, she must've woken up early. Adagio rubbed her eyes as she looked at the calendar, "OH MY GOSH ARIA, we overslept! Winter break ended today!" she yelled.

"WHAT!? Well Sonata could've woken us up!" Aria said, as she jumped out of bed quickly.

Adagio ran after her, they only had ten minutes to wash, get dressed, eat their breakfast, grab their supplies, and run all the way to the classroom building. But of course, Aria and Adagio both agreed that they would definitely arrive to class late.

They rushed towards the bathroom, and got ready as quick as they could. "Where is my hairbrush!? Adagio asked.

Aria glared at Adagio. "Not now! I'm using it!"

After they finally brushed their teeth, and brushed their hair, Adagio and Aria ran towards their laundry basket. "Oh! My poor hair! If you hadn't hogged the hairbrush, I would have taken care of my hair like I usually did!" Adagio complained.

"Shut up, stop complaining, and GET DRESSED!" Aria yelled.

Then they put on the clothes they wore yesterday, smelling them just in case it they're dirty. That smells fine, that too, UGH! That smells horrible! Thank goodness I have spare jeans! Aria thought and put her clothes on.

Adagio went ahead and just put her clothes on, smelly or not smelly, she can just spray it with perfume.

They grabbed their bags and rushed to the café to grab some orange juice, and a donut just in case they spill their juice while running. As they entered the classroom, they saw confused students, including Sonata, staring at them. "Dagi, Ari, why are you carrying orange juice and a donut? And why are you guys late? We've already taken our 2nd quarter exam," Sonata said.

"Don't ask," Adagio said.

Sonata glared at the two late students. "I already have!"

"Now, now Sonata, I'll take care of this," Mrs. Jubilee said. "Girls! Since you are late, you will have detention at 3:00 pm. Understand!?"

"Yes Mrs. Jubilee," Adagio and Aria muttered.

"Now come sit down, and make up your exam. You have one hour, starting, now," Jubilee said.

The exam was mainly on life science and biology, which is Aria's worst subject, and Adagio's least favorite subject. Aria and Adagio began tapping their pencils on the paper, answering questions on the exam. Aria then looked around to see what other students were doing.

Sonata opened her favorite book, The Guide to Tacos, while others read other books. Adagio began taking her exam, while Aria began fiddling with her pencil. While Mrs. Jubilee wasn't looking, Aria folded papers, mainly, her exam, into a paper airplane, and threw them at Adagio's hair. At first, Adagio didn't notice. Then Aria tapped her shoulder, and whispered, "Hey Adagio, what nice hair you have!"

"What!?" Adagio said, as she pulled a paper airplane out of her hair. "Is this some kind of joke!?"

"HEY! Why are you talking Mrs. Adagio!?" Mrs. Jubilee yelled.

Aria smirked. "Busted!"

"That is not helpful!" Adagio said. "Aria threw paper airplanes at my glorious hair! Just look at me!" she pointed at her hair sadly.

"Aria, how many times do I have to tell you, no throwing paper airplanes! especially using you exam as a toy! And Adagio! You could have politely came up to me and told me what's going on! You both will have detention for one hour more!" Mrs. Jubilee said, as she sipped her coffee.

"Nice going, poofylocks!" Aria said.

"Well done, airplanefreak!" Adagio growled.

Sonata sighed, then giggled. "Will they ever get along?"

After biology, it was time to go to the library, Sonata had to find a book for her research project on an animal. "Hmm, fish? Nah. Eagles? Nah. Oh, oh, oh! Puppies! Their adorable!" Sonata said as she opened the door to the library.

Aria decided to sit on the library couch to take a nap, Crunch. Aria jumped, then she reached into her pocket to find her smashed paper airplane. "Hmm."

Sonata went wild on the puppies books, shelf after shelf. She ended up with ten books about puppies to research on. "Excuse me? But can I get these checked out? I have a research project to do," Sonata said.

After Sonata checked out, she went to Aria, who was running around, throwing her paper airplane. "Ari?" Sonata questioned.

Aria suddenly stopped, blushed embarrassedly and said, "Come on, let's just go."

Sonata laughed considering Aria was acting like a child, "Let's go, you have detention with Dagi, remember?" Sonata reminded.

Aria went back to her grouchy face, and mumbled, "I know, whatever."

Adagio was back at the dorm, cleaning up her desk. She looked at her watch, surprised that she was going to be late for detention. She ran as fast as she could to Mrs. Jubilee's classroom, and sat down, along with Aria and a few other students who as well have detention. "Hey airplanefreak, thanks for getting us in prison!" Adagio whispered.

Aria glared at Adagio, hiding her paper airplane, "Oh, be quiet!"
