Sonic and Shadow in Equestria 3 The Search For The Crystal Heart

Chapter 8
As dawn broke Shadow, slowly opened his eyes and looked to see that Sunset was not in bed. So he got up and looked for her which he found her sitting in the kitchen looking out the window.
"Good morning Sunset," he said.
When Sunset, heard Shadow's voice she turned around and said.
"And a good morning to you too Shadow."
"So what are you doing?" Asked Shadow.
Sunset, looked out of the window and looked back at Shadow.
"Oh I was just thinking Shadow."
"Thinking of what Sunset?"
"Thinking of what's going to happen if the Dazzling's win this battle of the bands compaction."
When Shadow, heard this he sat down with Sunset, and said.
"Sunset, don't say stuff like that. I promise you that Sonic, myself, Tails, and Nyx will win this compaction and when we do those Dazzling's will never know what hit them."
Sunset, smiled at Shadow and then she kissed him on the lips. No sooner as she did that then they heard three familiar voices saying.
"Awwwwwww."
When Shadow and Sunset, looked they saw Sonic, Tails, and Nyx were making kissy faces and then Sonic said in a voice that sounded like Shadow.
"Oh Sunset, don't worry because Shadow is here to be with you forever and ever."
Then Nyx came up to Sonic and said in a voice to sound like Sunset.
"Oh Shadow, I love you so much that I will never leave your side."
After that they pretended to kiss one another that made Tails, laugh uncontrollably and it also made Sunset and Shadow blush bright red. This went on and on until Shadow and Sunset, came up to Sonic and Nyx, and hit them on top of their heads.
"Ouch, what was that for?" Sonic and Nyx, asked.
"That was for making fun of us," said Sunset.
"Yeah, and in case if you guys forgot after we get done with the battle of the bands we will be going home," said Shadow.
As soon as he said that Shadow, closed his mouth and looked at Sunset. As he did he could see a small tear coming out of Sunset's eye.
"Oh Sunset, I'm so sorry I've shouldn't have said that," Shadow said.
Sunset, looked at Shadow, and said.
"No, its alright Shadow."
Just then Tails broke the silence.
"Well guys, we better get a move on if we are going to get to the stadium on time."
"Tails is right you guys, so lets go and to the stadium before they role our absence as a forfeit," said Sonic.
So with that Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Nyx, and Sunset set off to the stadium where the finales of the battle of the bands was being held at. But then Tails remembered about the chaos emeralds, so he went back to the house and got the emeralds. with that he, Sonic, Shadow, Nyx, and Sunset went to the stadium. Once they made it Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Nyx were readying their instruments, after they did that Sonic was thinking of a good song that could destroy the spell that the Dazzling's had on their friends and the students.
"So Sonic, did you think of a good song yet?" Asked Shadow.
"No Shadow, I have not. The only song I could think of is the song that we haven't practiced," said Sonic.
"Well keep trying Sonic," said Shadow.
As Sonic, continued to think of a song for them to sing Sunset came up to Sonic and Shadow, and said.
"Hey guys where is Nyx? Because I saw her readying her piano but then she left."
"Oh she went to go to the bathroom," said Tails.
Sunset, shook her head in understanding just then they saw the Rainbooms coming towards them.
"Oh great, what are you guys doing here?" Asked Shadow.
"Yeah, you guys are suppose to be up there," said Sonic, as he pointed to the stands.
The Rainbooms looked at one another until Rainbow said.
"Oh don't worry, we're just here to take your guys' spot in the finales."
Just as soon as Rainbow Dash said that Applejack, pulled a lever and a stage door opened up from underneath Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset causing them all to scream as they fell. The Rainbooms laughed wickedly as the stage door closed shut, leaving Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset trapped inside.
"See you never!"
With that the Rainbooms left the stage, meanwhile the Dazzling's witnessed the whole thing.
"I told you someone would give them a shove." Adagio chuckled.
"But the Rainbooms didn't shove them. They just pulled a lever," said Sonata.
Aria groaned and said to Sonata.
"Go back to sleep Sonata."
Adagio face palmed herself, until she saw another member of the Sonic Heroes approaching the stage. But instead of getting angry, Adagio smirked.
"This should be fun," she said.
As Nyx made it to the stage she saw that Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset were not there.
"Hmm, maybe they went to get something to drink," she thought.
But just then from down bellow her feet, Nyx heard the sounds of her friends, crying out for help. She could even hear what sounded like Shadow and Sonic, trying to break them free with their powers.
"Hey Guys, are you alright down there?" Nyx asked.
When they heard Nyx's voice Tails shouted up to her.
"Yes we are, the Rainbooms put us down here."
"Take it easy you guys, I'll get you out in a sec," said Nyx, as she tried to find a way to get them out.
Then she saw a leaver that the Rainbooms used to trap her friends. As Nyx, began using her strength to pull on the leaver to get her friends out a voice interrupted her.
"I wouldn't do that, if I were you."
As Nyx, looked behind her she was face to face, once again with the Sirens. Nyx stepped away from the lever for a short moment and glared at her foes.
"Who's going to stop me?" She said bravely.
Adagio maintained her wicked smile as she spoke to the once Nightmare Moon.
"No need for anymore games. We know exactly what you are. How you came into this world is of no concern to us, however."
Nyx was not about to take this.
"If you know what I am, then you know what I am capable of."
"I think the better question is, do you know what we are capable of?"
That was it, Nyx no longer cared if she got in trouble for this or not. This monster needed to be taught a lesson. Nyx leaped forward, her hand clenched into a fist as she hurled it at Adagio. However, Adagio managed to dodge the attack and before Nyx could charge again Aria and Sonata grabbed her and put her up agented the stadium wall.
"Hey, let me go," Nyx said, as she struggled to get free but to no avail.
Adagio chuckled and then she walked towards Nyx and said in a sly voice into Nyx's ear.
"I'm afraid we can't do that. For you see we can't allow you and your friends win the Crystal Heart."
Suddenly, it became clear to Nyx. The Principals disqualifying Sunset, the Crystal Heart, the Rainbooms.
"You…You planed this all along. You wanted us to get into the finals! So you could have the Rainbooms to take our place so you could beat them and take the Crystal Heart to take over equestria.
"Oh, smarter than she looks" Adagio taunted, as she placed he hand on Nyx's cheek and let it slid down to her chin.
Just then Nyx spit on Adagio's face and said.
"You'll never get away with this you sirens."
As Adagio got done wiping her face off she grabbed Nyx by the throat and said with clinched teeth.
"Oh we will get away with it and nobody will stop us."
With that Adagio, knocked Nyx out and then said to Aria and Sonata.
"Take her to the school and lock her in the closet."
Aria and Sonata nodded and said.
"Ok Adagio."
After that Aria and Sonata took the unconscious Nyx to the school not knowing that someone was watching them from the shadows. As the Principals got to where the finales where going to be haled at Adagio, told them that the Sonic Heroes had forfeit from the competition, and the Rainbooms wanted to take their place, and they wanted to turn it into a real battle of the bands. The Principals agreed so that evening, the Dazzling's were on stage and the Rainbooms were on a hill top just a cross from the stage waiting for the Dazzling's to start. Meanwhile Nyx got out of her unconscious stat and starting banging on the closet door screaming for help, just then the door opened up and their standing there was a teenage girl with dark and light blue hair, glasses, a white shirt, pink pants with lightning bolts on them, a white skirt with a musical note on it, and on her feet were white purple and blue shoes with light blue stars on the tongue of her shoes. Nyx knew just who the girl was.
"Vinyl," she said happily.
"Boy, I'm glad to see you."
The girl DJ smiled and put her thumb up, meanwhile underneath the stage. Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset were already exhausted from being trapped, and had lost all hope of being found. Tails laid on the ground on her back while Sunset just stood there watching Shadow continuing to try to break the door down with his powers.
"Give it up Shadow, you have been at it for hours. Its not gonna open," said Sonic.
Shadow stopped and looked at Sonic.
"Well we've got to do something Sonic, they are going to start any minute now," he said.
"I know Shadow, but we've tried everything, and nothing worked to open the door so please give it up."
Shadow just couldn't believe what he was hearing Sonic the Hedgehog, giving up already?
"I can't believe what I'm hearing out of you Sonic. You giving up just like that, what about the Rainbow Dash back in Equestria?"
When Sonic heard that he looked up at Shadow as he continued to speck to him.
"What would she think of you now if see saw you giving up like this?"
Sonic didn't say anything, he just looked at Shadow as he continued scolding him.
"She would be discussed by you Sonic, the one who saved her from Mephiles, and from near death by Discord? Well let me tell you something Sonic the hedgehog, she cares the world about you and you care about her. But if you don't try and help me the that means the Dazzling's win, and we lose and if we lose then everybody we care about in Equestria and in Canterlot High will be no more."
After Shadow, was done Sonic got up and said to him.
"I love Rainbow, Shadow and I love our friends back in Equestria, so I be damned if anything happens to them."
After hearing that, Shadow smiled and said.
"Then let's get out of here."
Meanwhile on stage Celestia gave the ok to the Dazzling's to sing.
[The Dazzling's]
Aaaaahhhh
Ah, ah, aaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
As the Dazzling's sang, Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset hared them and looked up.
"Oh man it's already starting," said Tails.
"Yeah, we need to hurry," said Sunset.
So they continued to bang on the door to try to break it but it was no use. But just then the door opened and there was Nyx standing in the door way smiling.
"Nyx," Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Sunset said happily, as they embraced Nyx in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry I took so long you guys, but the sirens locked me in a closet and I was in their until a friend got me out."
Nyx then pointed a finger towered the door and when she did Vinyl appeared behind it.
"She's the only one who wasn't under the sirens' spell and helped me to find you guys."
"But why wasn't she under their spell?" Asked Sonic.
Nyx smiled at Sonic, and said.
"Easy, she never takes off her head phones."
After she said that, Vinyl gave them a thumbs up.
Nyx was surprised by another hug from Sunset Shimmer.
"I'm so glad you're okay!" She said to Nyx.
"It's good to see you too Sunset. So what did I miss."
Sonic put a proud hand on Shadow's shoulder and said.
"I almost gave up on myself until Shadow here opened my eyes."
Nyx smirked and said.
"Wow, maybe you guys should get trapped more often."
Then everybody laughed until Shadow said.
"Well come on guys, lets show thoughts sirens who's boss."
"Yeah, let's do it," they all cheered.
As they head out of underneath the stage Shadow saw Sunset still standing inside underneath the stage.
"Hey Sunset?" Shadow asked.
"Yes Shadow?" Sunset asked.
"Would you like to be part of our band?"
When Sunset, hard that she looked up at Shadow.
"Really? You want me to be in the band?" She asked.
Shadow smiled and then nodded, after that Sunset, smiled and hugged him as Shadow gave her a nice shinning guitar. With that hey left to join the others.
"Alright guys, let's do it," said Sonic.
"But Sonic, what are we going to sing?" Asked Tails.
Sonic thought for a minute and said.
"We are going to do that song," said Sonic.
"You mean that song we hardly practiced?" Asked Shadow.
Sonic nodded.
"Its the only one I could think of, unless you guys have a better plain."
Just then Sunset spoke up.
"I say, lets do the song."
"I agree with Sunset," said Shadow.
"Me too," said Nyx.
They all looked at Tails who nodded, and with that they set off to stop the sirens once and for all. Meanwhile on stage, The Dazzling's continued their vocalizing while the students all watched the performance. This was the sirens' time to shine. And their time to rule.

[The Dazzling's]
Your time is running out
From above a hilltop, overlooking the stage and audience, the Rainbooms were waiting for the signal to sing. Unknown to them the Sonic Heroes were waiting at the bottom of the hill.
"So what are we waiting for Sonic?" Asked Shadow.
Sonic looked at Shadow, and said.
"Well of what Nyx told us, the sirens are going to use they're Equestrian magic and since the Rainbooms are under their spell they're powers are not going to work and they will be sitting ducks. When the sirens are too much for them that is when we make our move."
Just then Nyx looked and asked.
"Hey, where's Vinyl?"
As soon as she said that, she heard honking noises and saw Vinyl arrive in her white car, and was heading up to the Rainbooms. When the Rainbooms saw Vinyl, they had some strong words to say to her but when they told her to get lost Vinyl pushed a button on her car and then it turned into a portable DJ station, complete with speakers. Be hide the mountain the Sonic heroes looked it aw as they saw Vinyl's car change into a DJ station even the Rainbooms liked it and thought with Vinyl's help they would win the battle of the bands. Down bellow, the sirens' spell began taking full effect. Soon, all of the students; eyes gained a hazed and unresponsive looks as they fell deep under the sirens' musical spell. With this, their amulets glowed brighter.
[The Dazzling's]
Feel the wave of sound
As it crashes down
You can't turn away
We'll make you wanna stay
Suddenly the three were lifted up into the air as red sparkling swirls emitted from the gems, entrapping them in a magical aura as their hair grew longer, resembling tails and pony ears grew on their heads. But, unlike Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, their wings were not feathery, but translucent and shaped in the form of bat wings. Adagio's were purple, Aria's were light aqua green while Sonata's were pale pink. They had gained their own warped anthro forms by absorbing the magic from the Rainbooms.
[The Dazzling's]
We will be adored
Tell us that you want us
We won't be ignored
It's time for our reward
Now you need us
Come and heed us
Nothing can stop us now
Suddenly, the sirens stopped singing and winced when drums were heard from afar, but loud enough for them to hear. Aria pointed forward and Adagio saw the Rainbooms singing loudly and beautifully. They then knew it was they're turn to sing.
[The Rainbooms]
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
I've got the music in me
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
[Rainbow Dash]
Don't need to hear a crowd
Cheering out my name
I didn't come here seeking
Infamy or fame
As the girls sang, the students started the cheer and started chanting battle of the bands over and over again.
[The Rainbooms]
The one and only thing
That I am here to bring
Is music, is the music
Is the music in my soul
As their music grew louder, their magic grew stronger. Just then their eyes glowed bright red.
[The Rainbooms]
Gonna break out
(Out!)
Set myself free, yeah
Let it all go
(Go!)
Just let it be, yeah
Find the music in your heart
Let the music make you start
To set yourself apart
[Adagio Dazzle]
"So are plain is working perfectly, but unfortunately it's time to end this little game of ours."
[The Dazzling's]
What we have in store
All we want and more
We will break on through
Now it's time to finish you!
Suddenly the amulets glowed brightly and so did Adagio's eyes, glowing bright bloody red. The same trait was shared with Aria and Sonata. Their powers increased and from their gems, they created astral projections of their true siren forms. Adagio's was yellow, Aria's purple and Sonata's was blue. The Rainbooms were not expecting this. The horrifying creatures came flying towards them, circling them like sharks. Just then the creatures opened their mouths, unleashing a powerful vocal attack, witch made the Rainbooms slide off the mountain. The Sonic Heroes and Sunset, looked on in horror as the Rainbooms were knocked off the hill excepted for Vinyl who was still up on her DJ station.
(Music ends)
"Come on guys, that's the signal to go up their and rock," said Sonic.
With that, they set off up the hill to get ready to stop the Dazzling's once and for all. Back on stage the Dazzling's laughed and cheered.
"Alright,we did it," cheered Adagio.
"Yes, the Crystal Heart is ours now," said Aria.
"And the best thing of it all is that nobody can stop us now," said Sonata.
As they laughed and cheered they heard a voice up on the hill the Rainbooms use to be on.
"Hey, Dazzling's!!!!"
When the Dazzling's heard that voice they stopped laughing and cheering and looked at the hill where the Rainbooms use to be at. Only this time they saw the Sonic Heroes and Sunset up on the hill with their instruments ready to play.
"Well, well, well girls if it isn't the Sonic losers," said Adagio.
When the Sonic Heroes and Sunset, heard that they glared at the Dazzling's, then Shadow said.
"That's right, and we're going to stop you three once and for all."
"Ha, if you guys think that you can stop us then try," said Aria.
"Yeah," said Sonata.
With that Sonic turned to Tails, and said.
"Alright Tails, start us off buddy."
After Sonic said that Tails, hit his drum sticks and started counting.
"One...."
"Two...."
"Three...."
"Four...."
(Reach the goal starts to play)
When Tails, finished his count Nyx started to play her piano. Then after a few seconds Tails started to hit his drums followed by Sonic, Shadow, and Sunset playing their guitars and then after a few seconds Sonic started to sing.
[Sonic]
A broken path is in front of me
But still I carry on
A path of smoke is what
I will leave behind
You better catch me
Before I'm gone
As the Sonic Heroes sang, the students could felt themselves breaking free from the sirens' hold on them. As their spirits were being lifted by the rock of the Sonic Heroes' music.
[Sonic]
The noises drown as I blast
Through the wind
That guides me as I go....
This is what I do
And this is who I am
It's time to rock and roll!!!!
As their music grew louder, their magic grew stronger.
[Sonic]
But the path is long
As it twist and bends
And I cannot see my goal
But I see a golden glint
At the end
And it calls my very soul....
Vinyl then turned up the volume as she did the speakers increased the music as Sonic and Shadow started to sing together.
[Sonic and Shadow]
So I'll run ahead at
Super Sonic speed
My very self is
Who I'll lead
I'll never give up
I'll find a way through
As I'll try to follow and
Pursue what's true
The sirens sneered at this. There was no way they could win. But they underestimated the Sonic Heroes as they continued to play.
[Sonic]
The world around me
Just speeds by my eyes
As I follow this wind with speed
I'll never let myself be misled by lies
As I follow under it's lead
But the storms in the sky
Try to darken the light
And I cannot see my goal
But a golden glint
On the road's in my sight
And it calls my very soul....
The siren projections were not going to take this, and so they hurled towards the Sonic Heroes, Adagio's siren's mouth was wide open, ready to attack them.
[Sonic and Shadow]
So I'll run ahead and go with
All my speed
My very self is who I'll lead
I'll never turn back
There's nothing to fear
Cause the end of this
Road is very near
Suddenly when the projections of the sirens got close to the Sonic Heroes a shield appeared around them blocking the projections of the sirens in their tracks.
[Sonic and Shadow]
I'll run ahead at
Super sonic speed
my very self is who I'll lead
I'll never give up
I'll find a way through
And I'll make it to the end
And start anew
Just then the chaos emeralds started to shine brightly in Sonic and Shadow's pockets and then they roused up and circled around the Sonic Heroes. After that Sonic and Shadow, transformed into their superformes but that was not all for Tails, Nyx, Sunset, and Vinyl also absorbed the emeralds powers as well and they turned into superformes of them selves also. When they turned into superformes of them selves Sunset, Nyx, and Vinyl were shocked to find out that they had golden hair and their cloths were golden as well, as for the sirens, they were shocked at what they were seeing.
[Sonic and Shadow]
I'll blast through this world
With all my speed
There's nothing in this world
That will stop my feet
I'll dash though it all
I'll roll and won't crawl
Though the road is shattered
I will never fall
Just then everyone all around was singing to the Sonic Heroes' music, which meant that the spell that the sirens put on them had finally broke completely.
[Sonic and Shadow]
I'll run ahead at
Super Sonic speed
My very self
Is who I'll lead
Through the old and the new
I'll always stay true
As the same old me will
Still be blue
The Dazzling's looked up in fear as they saw lights in the sky, suddenly the lights turned into projections of Sonic and Shadow, as hedgehogs. Just then the projections of Sonic and Shadow, raised up their hands and unleashed a powerful ray of pure light onto the siren projections, which were far smaller then the projections of Sonic and Shadow, and then they broke apart, disappearing entirely. After that the light then hit the Dazzling's in a blinding flash of bright light, then the energy from the light knocked the Dazzling's backwards and they hit the back of the stage meaning that they had just lost the battle of the bands to the Sonic Heroes.
[Sonic and Shadow]
It's in my heart
It's in my soul
And I'll give my all
To reach the goal
