//------------------------------// // Princess's Day Off // Story: Princess's Day Off // by Sweets82 //------------------------------// Yet on another sunny day in Equestria. Luna anxiously trotted down the main halls of Canterlot Castle waiting for her older sister. Luna was so excited she couldn't remember the last time Celestia and Luna had their day off. Celestia had been taking only about six minutes, but for Luna it felt like hours and hours had already passed by. "Are you ready?" asked Celestia, getting out of her room. Her hair was different from usual, instead it had long curls attached to a bun than her long wavy hair. Luna frowned at her sister's new hairstyle, had that hairstyle seriously tooking all morning to do! Celestia laughed at her sister's weird looking face and ruffled up Luna's wavy hair. "C'mon Tia!" said Luna, taking Celestia's hoof. "We ain't got all day!" Celestia laughed. "Okay Luna," replied Celestia, following her sister to the door, but they were stopped by two certain mares. "Looks like my aunt tried a new hairstyle," giggled Cadance. Cadance flipped her hair gently as Twilight still stared at the two young princess. "Is something wrong, Twilight?" asked Celestia, a bit worried. Twilight shook her head quickly and nodded her head. "What about your work?" asked Twilight. The two princess looked at each other blankly, how could they've been so blind they didn't even finish their work! Celestia sighed as she watched her sister's happy smile fade away. "I'm so so-" Celestia was interrupted by Twilight. "Don't worry Princess!" exclaimed Twilight, as if she were a superhero. "Cadence and I will finish your work! You guys, just enjoy your day off!" The two princess looked at each other and back at Twilight, not sure what to make of the decision. Than Luna had a wide and bright smile on her face. Luna wasn't more than glad! She was actually happy that Celestia had turned Twilight into a princess. Luna didn't think and grabbed Celestia's hoof as quickly as possible and had already been outside as soon as you know it. "Ahh," sighed Twilight. "Now where are their papers and work?" Cadance smiled. Cadance knew that Twilight will love doing all the work Celestia left on her desk. Twilight nodded blankly with a wide smile on her face. Cadance pointed out at a huge pile of papers to only find out Celestia was almost done with her work. Twilight frowned a bit and started to walk towards the desk all hunged over. "Just so you know, Cadance!" exclaimed Twilight, putting her hoof on her own chest. "I'm very responsible and serious about this, so you better listen carefully." Cadance giggled. "Ok, Twi!" exclaimed Cadance. "I'll just be in the spa for the rest of the day." "Wait!" Cadance turned to look at Twilight. Twilight took notice that those words had come out of her own mouth. "I thought you were going to help me," said Twilight nervously. Cadance smiled as she walked towards Twilight. "Sure!" said Cadance. "Well my aunt doesn't really have too much work... so... you can do my aunt Luna's work and I do my aunt Celestia's work." "Sure!" said Twilight, backing away from Celestia's work. "Were is Luna's work?" Cadance shrugged at Twilight's answer. "Just look at my aunt's bedroom," said Cadance. Cadance started to get herself a chair and with her magic she grabbed the quill. Twilight looked dissapointed as she saw Cadance do all of Celestia's work when she was suppose to do it. She didn't really have much of a choice, but to look around the castle. "Yes!" screamed Luna. She happily spread her wings and started to fly like if she wasn't a princess anymore. "Come on, Tia!" Celestia giggled. "I'll be right there my dear sister," said Celestia. She spread her wings to and started to fly. "Ahh." Luna flew backwards showing to her sister her new skills. "Let's have a contest!" Luna, blurted out. Celestia stared at Luna for a second and smiled. "Will beat you there!" yelled Celestia, flying as fast as she could to Ponyville. "Tia!" yelled Luna. "No fair!" Luna couldn't let her sister beat her. Luna knew that her sister cheated and in front of her eyes and it was a no, no to her. Luna flew five times faster than her sister which lead Luna to crash into a tree. "Ow," said Luna. "Luna!" Celestia, blurted out. "Are you ok?" "Yes, but for now let's just get ice cream," said Luna, rubbing her forehead. "There he is!" Celestia followed Luna's hoof towars the ice cream colt. Celestia smiled and nodded at her sister which Luna instantly knew it was a yes. Luna grabbed Celestia's hoof. "Then let's go!" Luna, blurted. Luna had to let Celestia carry her in her wing because Luna had broke her wing, but didn't want to tell Celestia because it would totally ruin their perfect day. That's why she told Celestia if she could carry her and of course she will rather be embarrassed then have a stupid wing ruin their day. "What can I serve you, highness!" waved the colt. "Anything I could serve, yah!" "I will like a strawberry and-" Celestia turned to look back at her sister, but had dissapeared and then she saw Luna grabbing her wing hissing in pain. "Luna!" yelled Celestia. "What kind of ice cream will you like?" Luna looked at her sister blankly and remembered her favorite ice cream flavor. "Lemon, Tia!" yelled Luna, back. "And lemon please," said Celestia. The colt got two cones and started to grab a spoon. He first did Celestia's then Luna's. "Thank you," said Celestia, smiling. "How many bits?" "Bits!?" asked the colt. "No, mah princess. Its on me, I do have to treat you like you are." The colt bowed down to Celestia as she rolled her eyes. "Still," said Celestia, putting the bits in the counter. "No paybacks, its a command you need to accept this." "Ow," said Luna, still touching her wing. She couldn't control the pain, but she didn't want to spoil Celestia's perfect day. "Are you okay sister?" asked Celestia. "Huh?" asked Luna. "Oh yeah just..." "You broke your wing didn't you?" asked Celestia. Luna looked at her sister and nodded, Luna couldn't do anything, but cry. "I just wanted to spend some time with you," said Luna. She couldn't resist it, the only thing to do right now was cry. "I'm sorry my dear sister," said Celestia, wrapping her wing around Luna. "Were is her work!?" yelled Twilight. "Doesn't Luna ever do work!?" Twilight looked deep inside every, single room in the castle and had found nothing of Luna's work. "That's it I'll just go over to Cadance," said Twilight, calming down. "Umm..." said Cadance. Cadance was stuck on a math problem and had done one out one thousand papers done. "Cadance?" asked Twilight, looking at Cadance. "You aren't even done?" Twilight let out a big laugh. The funny thing for her was that Cadance barely did enought work and didn't let her do the whole thing. "I know Twilight," said Cadance, rolling her eyes. "Anyways do you know what's the square root five-hundred and forty-six?" "It's twenty-three point three six six six four two eight nine one zero nine," said Twilight, proudly. Still, she laughed at Cadance for not knowing a simple math question. "Haven't you ever learned math?" "Yes. but that was like long time ago," said Cadance, giggling. "Probably like twenty years." "Are you really that old!?" laughed Twilight. Cadance rolled her eyes once more as Celestia and Luna come back to the castle. Twilight neither Cadance saw Luna's face because she went flying like a rocket. "What happend Celestia?" asked Twilight. Celestia sadly nodded and head straight to her room. Twilight and Cadance looked at each other and started to go to there dorms too. "I can't believe my wing had to ruin the perfect day!" screamed Luna. "Luna?" asked Celestia. "Leave me alone!" yelled Luna. "We are still going to have the day off," said Celestia. Luna slowly opened the door and peeked at her sister with tears in her eyes. "Really?" asked Luna. "Yeah," said Celestia."Let's go!"Luna opened the door fully open and flew fast which she instantly fell. "Oh my," said Celestia, laughing. "Let's just go, Celia!" yelled Luna. "Okay, okay, just calm down," smiled Celestia. And again Celestia and Luna went outside to have fun, except she couldn't fly so they had to walk. "Are they done?" asked Twilight, coming out of her dorm. "I guess?" replied Cadance, opening her door. Twilight quickly raced towards Celestia's work while Cadance slowly walked towards her. Cadance Looked at Twilight as she sadly nodded. "Okay Twily," said Cadance, rolling her eyes. "You can do all the work." "Yes!" screamed Twilight, in happiness. Twilight might not have a lot of work, but she was super happy dealing with royal things, etc. "If you need anything," said Cadance. "I'll be taking a bath." "Okay!" replied Twilight. She squealed in happiness as she worked on every single problem. "So Luna," said Celestia, walking slowly at a pace Luna could catch up. "Did you tell Twilight where was your work?" Luna stopped for awhile. She had forgotten to tell Twilight all about her work. "No..." replied Luna. "I forgot... but Cadance can tell Twilight. No worries, Tia." Celestia wasn't amused with her sister's answer. "Okay," said Celestia, rolling her eyes. Luna caught up with Celestia as they walked towards Ponyville. "So..." said Luna. "Do you think everything is going perfect over at the castle?" "I already finished Celestia's work!" yelled Twilight, throwing the books out. "But where in Equestria is Luna's work!?" "Twilight?" asked Cadance, looking at the mess Twilight had made. "Yes, Cadance?" asked Twilight, turning over to Cadance. Cadance, looked at the mess she had made in the library and back to the hall. Her jaw was wide open. All she saw in the hall was mess and water from the bases all over the floor. "Twilight!" yelled Cadance. "Look at the mess you made!" "What?" asked Twilight, still throwing books. Twilight threw a book out of the air which landed on Cadance's face. "Ow!" exclaimed Cadance. "Twilight! Calm yourself!" "I can't!" replied Twilight, running to Celestia's dorm. "I have to find Luna's work!" Cadance saw as Twilight disappeared to Celestia's room. She sighed and decided to followed Twilight, to see if she didn't do something crazy. Cadance walked as water filled her golden shoes. "Twilight," sighed Cadance. "I think there fine," said Celestia and Luna, at the same.
