Spike sat in the waiting room, trying to take everything in. It had happened so fast....... "Spike, she is gonna be OK. We know that for a fact sugar," Applejack's voice was barely comforting.
"Yeah... sure," came the blunt reply.
"Come on Spike. We can't do anything but trust the doc," Rainbow was shaking, but that didn't stop her from agreeing with A.J. They had recently left Twilight Sparkle's room, she didn't have the energy to do anything, and for the fact that it was too hard for them to watch her.
"I wonder what happened?" Pinkie asked the question at last. "Was it a heart attack?" She looked hopeful that was all that had happened.
"Dr.Stable said he has no idea what happened," Rarity answered.
"I know I was just hoping.........," there was no need for any more words as tears welled up in her eyes again.
"Aww sugar come 'ere," Applejack directed their pink friend.
Spike didn't wanna hear anymore. He couldn't hear anymore. So Spike went back into Twi's room. "Hey," he greeted her.
"Spike..listen....," her words were slow and barely hearable.
"Yeah Twilight?!" he had a full attention span.
"Chrysalis..... coming..... stop.... late.....," she tried to make her meaning clear but Spike was more confused than ever.
"What do you mean?" he asked, but she was already going unconscious. "No wait Twilight what do you mean?!" he was scared she would forget when she awoke. Dang it! Spike thought.
"Spike? Are you ok?" the voice was soft, mild, and caring. Fluttershy's voice.
Spike didn't realize he was crying. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine.....," he tried to sound sure of himself but it came out sad and depressed.
"Spike, I know this is especially hard for you. But remember we're here for you! Twilight is going to survive, I know she will," Fluttershy sounded so sure, so strong. Spike broke again and ran into her arms crying harder than ever.
"I believe you! I-I-I really t-truly do-o-o!" he cried so hard. I love all of you so much... Thank you for being here for us! Thank you....
