Twilight: The Gamer

The Bailey

They fought their way through several Shadow and Soldier Heartless as they climbed a staircase up to the top of the stone wall and then entered a jail-like building. They found Leon waiting for them looking out one of the windows at a tower with the Heartless emblem on it.
"Hollow Bastion has it's problems, but it's our home and we want to put it back the way it was, maybe even make it better, and we can deal with anything that comes up... except for that." he pointed at a dark mass in the canyon below them. They all looked down, and gasped as they realized they were staring at thousands and thousands of Heartless swarming.
"That's insane! They must be ten-thousand strong!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Wow, I guess Pete's more trouble than I thought." Sora said.
"Then there's that." Leon pointed at a pair of Nobodies on the canyon wall who seemed to be surveying the horde below them.
Sora thumped his chest. "We'll take care of 'em!" he said with determination.
"As long as no more of them show up anyway." Twilight said dryly.
"Well that's good to know. So do you know what's going on?" Leon asked, folding his arms.
"There's this guy, Pete, rounding up Heartless to make an army with, but he's not smart enough to be a real problem by himself." Sora began.
"The Nobodies, on the other hand, are a lot more dangerous. They're the ones we need to worry about." Twilight finished.
"And those Organization XIII guys in charge too." Goofy added. I was at this point that they were interrupted.
"You called?" a deep and slighly creepy voice asked, making them all start.
They ran to an open space nearby, and brought out their weapons.
"You're doing well." a new voice said.
"I would say this calls for a celebration." the first voice said.
Nobodies began to appear around them, including near the door leading to town. Donald and Goofy positioned themselves on the end of the bailey they'd just gone through, while Sora, Leon, and herself stood ready to defend the door, which was promptly closed.
A barrier of white squares in a grid sprang up around the prison-bar door. Presumably a result of the Keybearers, namely Sora and herself, defending it, but that was somehing to be looked into later. Right now, there was fighing to be done.
They were apparently beyond the reach of the town's defense mechanism, and since Donald and Goofy were fighing elsewhere, she had to fight with less support. What's more, there were more Nobodies than in the town earlier.
There were mainly Dusks again, but there were a fair number of Samurai and Creepers mixed in.
Once they fought off the Nobodies, they moved over to the area where the Nobodies had first appeared. "The Keyblade. Truly marvelous weapons. If only they were in more... capable hands." the first speaker commented to the dark laughter of his fellows.
"Come out!" Sora called. For a moment, nothing happened. Then a figure all in black appeared out of a portal formed of darkness on he wall opposite them. He raised his arms, and five more identically dressed figures appeared. Their hoods covered their faces with shadows, so they were somewhat difficult to tell apart. Twilight noticed that Sora seemed very angry for never having met these people before, but kept her focus on the figures.
"Organization XIII!" Goofy announced.
"Good, let's settle this!" Sora said.
"Careful. I'm sure you know this by now, but the underlings usually don't even compare to the leader." Twilight said, surreptitiously charging a Dark Firaga, though keeping it's potency below visibility. The first strike could be very important, and she could gauge their resistance to magic and Darkness at the same time.
"What a shame. Here I thought we could be friends." the first speaker and presumable leader said before he and the others left chuckling, in that order.
Donald rushed to try and reach the wall yelling, "Stop!"
A figure reappeared directly in front of them. Donald looked back and forth between the Nobody and his previous location. "Hey, what's the big idea?" Donald asked.
"Oopsie-daisy." the man said casually in a stereotypical surfer's accent.
"Get out of the way!" Sora said annoyedly.
"As if!" the Nobody said raising a finger in a chiding manner. "You can talk all you want, but that won't change a thing." he continued.
"Then we're gonna make you move!" Donald said with determinedly.
"See, if I was just any old dude, that might work. But I'm with the Organization, nothing any old about me." he said.
"Tough talk from somebody who just sat back and let his Nobody flunkies do all the fighting." Sora shot back.
"Oh dear, I think you got the wrong impression." the Organization member responded.
"What? Are you gonna cry?" Sora asked.
"As if! Why don't I remind you who the crowd you're dealing with is?" the Organization member said.
"Remind me/him?" Sora and Twilight asked at the same time. 'That implies that he's met them at some point.' an idea was beginning to form in her mind. 'Or a version of him at least.' He had been a Heartless, if only briefly, and someone with a heart strong enough to wield the Keyblade would be all but guarranteed to leave behind a Nobody. It was just a theory for now, but it would explain a lot.
Sora glared at the Nobody in front of them, who laughed in response. "That's right! He used to give me that exact same look!" he said.
"I guess you think you can psyche me out by saying really random stuff." Sora said.
"Gee, I just don't know. You're not really proving me wrong." he said, then paused. "Be a good boy now!" he said, before disappearing. Twilight was quite surprised when he reappeared next to her, enough that he was able to pull a hair out of her head and cause her to misfire Dark Firaga to one side. "Sorry about that, but we kinda need this." he said, before disappearing again. They waited for a moment, but he didn't reappear.
"That was really weird." Sora said.
"You can say that again." Twilight said. She was inwardly wondering what they could possibly need her hair for, but nothing came to mind since she found it unlikely that they had cloning technology.
"Well, yeah, that thing with your hair was weird, but I meant about someone giving him the same look. Who gave him the same look?" Sora asked, seeming rather bothered by all this.
"You know, I think he was just tryin' to confuse ya. I'm not sure about the hair though." Goofy said.
"I guess we'll find out eventually." Twilight said.
"Yeah, you're right, only one me." Sora pulled out his membership card as Leon walked over, not having had anything to say to the Organization before. "The Hollow Basion Resoration Committee Honorary member." just as he finished saying this, the card became surrouned by light. Their Keyblades began to shine at the tips of their own accord.
"What's this?" Leon asked.
The two of them pointed their Keyblades at the ground as a crown outline formed and was filled in by light. A cloudy sky appeared above them and he card was briefly consumed by a pillar of light, which faded to reveal a glowing keyhole in the sky. They pointed their Keyblades at the keyhole. Twin beams of light shot out and met at the keyhole, causing light to erupt from the keyhole until it grew blinding, then faded away to reveal normal space.
"Oh, so this is what Master Yen Sid meant." Twiligth said.
"Sorry to run Leon, but other worlds are calling!" Sora apologized.
"Organization XIII,huh. They seem tough, be careful out there." Leon said.
"See you soon." Sora said. Leon raised his hand and gave a slight smile. The world-travellers were transported to he Gummi Ship.
"Where to next?" Sora asked.
"Well the map says that we have two choices." Donal said. There was a rather dreary-looking world with a castle and a world wih a palace that dragons figured heavily into.
Twilight was unable to resist he urge to facepalm as Sora picked the dragon one through eenie-meenie-miney-moe.
*** Meanwhile in The Round Room ***
The Organization members gathered to iscuss he day's events.
"Hm the second Keybearer was barely keeping her Darkness in check, but oher than hat, there weren't any surprises today." one said, idly shuffling a deck of cards with the Nobody symbol on them.
"Do you think she'll be trouble for us? She seemed smarter than Sora." another figure asked.
"At the moment she is following Sora. Since manipulaing Sora was our goal in the first place, little has changed in the long-run. Besides, we have a side-project in the works for her." the second speaker asked.
"Between the combat data we gathered during that little confronation and the genetic data we acquired thanks to Xigbar, creating a replica will be quite simple." the Organizaion's leader said.
The member with the cards asked, "Who's partnering with her? I only ask because I'm bored and the Keybearers coul prove enertaining."
"You know I've asked you if you wanted to hang out before." the member who had been worried a minute before said.
"Since you seem to have so much free time on your hands, perhaps you should take on the job." the second speaker said.
"Wait, me!?" he asked, once again worried.
"Enough. Stop pretending to have emotions when you have none. We shall be planting seeds on the path walked once again by the wielders of the Keyblade." the leader said.
