"Finally home!" I moaned joyously as Rainbowdash wheeled me through my window into my room. After two long tear stained week at the hospital I had finally been released!
"Is here okay?" Rainbowdash asked stationing me next to my bed.
"Yepperionies!" I replied happily smiling brightly at my almost constant companion for the duration of my hospital stay. Even though the rest of the gang had visited me whenever their hectic new schedules allowed them, Rainbowdash never really left unless it was to grab something to eat, bathe, or to use the facilities. This had made my life both easier and harder at the same time.
With Rainbow around I had someone to distract me from my guilt over the "Fire Tail" incident, however her constant vigilance had made concentrating on my magic to heal my wounds twice as hard.
'Hmm... Now that I think about it really it's almost like she's been scared of leaving me alone for more then a minute... I mused carefully reviewing every moment I'd spent with Rainbowdash over the last two weeks. Maliciously scrutinizing each moment with all of my not so inconsiderable skills, relying liberally on my a budding sense of empathy. Which I'd started to develop in those countless boring moments in my room. Done while Rainbowdash was sleeping (Could I have used that time to heal? Probably but POLO (Ponies Only Live Once)). What I may have possible discovered sent up red flags, and was definitely something I would think on later.
"Hey Pinkie?" questioned Rainbowdash knocking out of my musings.
"Yeah Dashie?" I asked turning to look at her.
"Why is there a jeweled Muffin in a glass box fighting Zombie Muffins?" She asked confusion coloring her voice.
"Ummm.... What?" I asked confused.
"There is a Jewel encrusted Muffin Fighting Zombie Muffins with a Jeweled Sword..." Rainbow stated flatly.
"Well that's new." I replied with a shrug.
Point of View Switched! 2 Minutes Before!
Two long weeks spent sitting next to Pinkie was taking it's toll on Rainbowdash and it was starting to show. Normally carrying somepony (anypony really) a quarter mile wouldn't have normally even phased her. Now she was starting to feel like I she was a filly again! The small flight from the hospital had complete drained her! 'Ugh that's not going to do! Hello Tartarus month!' Rainbowdash thought with a moan.
Groaning Rainbowdash put aside her foreboding future and decided to focus on her growing curiosity for one of the few places she hadn't been in Ponyville (mostly out of totally rational fear of complete and total pranking annihilation). Mostly the room was as she had expected it would be when thinking of her "excitable" friend. Bright pink and full of partying supplies. What she hadn't ever really expected (but at the same time should have) was an entire wall dedicated to books (mostly cooking). The one thing that she thought was completely out of place however was a long woodened table covered entirely in different do-dads dedicated to chemistry.
'What's Pinkie Pie doing with a chemistry set? What the hell! I can't even tell what half these things do!' Rainbowdash thought frowning at the various instruments and chemicals.
Tap! T-tap! Thunk! Puff!
'What the hell is that?' Rainbowdash wondered glancing around hearing various tapping sounds and muffled explosions. Glancing around the room it didn't take her long to find the source of the sounds.
On the far end of Pinkie's Chemistry table was a large glass box. Inside said glass box was what looked like a Bran-Muffin, only there was something off about it. It had arms and legs, which in itself was odd. However odder yet it was running around in a light blue body plates
.
'Is that muffin wearing Armor?' Rainbowdash wondered to herself before noticing that the armored muffin was running in one direction but never really moving. Instead things seemed to moving around it. Blocky hills rolled past, along with square trees, and animals like miniaturized cows, pigs, and sheep (all equally squared). Heck she would even swear she saw rivers and volcanos in the "background". Out of nowhere a green moldy muffin "Spawned" and started attacking the other Muffin!
"What in Tartarus is going on in there?" Rainbowdash asked herself staring shocked as the Jewel armored Muffin slay the "Zombie Muffin" with a jeweled sword. "Okay this is just getting weird..." Rainbowdash decided before turning to her pink friend for advice on the strange contents of the glass box.
"Hey Pinkie?" Rainbowdash asked turning to her friend who had a strange look on her face.
"Yeah Dashie?" Pinkie asked in reply.
"Why is there a jeweled Muffin in a glass box fighting Zombie Muffins?" Rainbowdash asked confusion coloring her voice.
"Ummm.... What?" Was the Pink Earthpony's only reply.
"There is a Jewel encrusted Muffin Fighting Zombie Muffins with a Jeweled Sword..." Rainbowdash stated flatly.
"Well that's new." Pinkie replied with a shrug dismissing the matter entirely.
Deciding to take the clearly more experienced pony's advise on this particularly strange event Rainbowdash decided to ignore it completely.
"Pinkie Pie... Your room is weird." Rainbowdash stated turning back to the weird glass boxed Muffin.
"I usually try not to think about the various Random Events that happen in here." Pinkie replied with a shrug.
