Assurance chapter *from the author who's back!*

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Holy glop, it's been like three years since I've been on this site! I am SO sorry for being gone and making you all think this story was dead! I've been meaning to come back to it since 2013...but that was the year that Monsters University premiered, and thus reawakening the Disney lover in me. I am currently working on other fanfics like "Post MU-Life's a Scream!", Frozen and Lego Movie crossover "Do You Want to Build Something Awesome?", and the newest addition is for The Book of Life, "This is Our Chapter". But after working on those and seeing how much they're doing well, I think back to the stories that people loved especially, and I really did miss this, but wasn't sure where to go because of writer's block...and the fact that I'm not exactly as big the MLP fan that I tried to make myself to be all those years ago. If you read my blog, you'll see what I'm talking about. But now I really want to get back to this, and hope that you guys are still going to read it. I made this chapter to ASSURE you the story's not dead. After all, this site's been bookmarked since the day I first registered! And honestly...Gustav would be a WAY better love interest than freaking Flash Sentry.

Celestia kept her distance, watching her faithful student emerge from the bedroom with a more than content smile on her face. One twitched at the corners of the sun goddess’s muzzle as she held her head high. She had seen this coming since the competition.

Not to say she had ever expected her less-than-intrigued-by-romance pupil to ever find promise with someone outside her race. But who was Celestia to judge when one’s heart was as free as the glittering mane on her head? Since Twilight had reached adulthood, love had been replaced by scientific theory: that a relationship needed to be based on facts before contemplating a “conclusion”. Of course, she never regarded any of her friends like mere test subjects, but this particular feeling that was beyond friendship was foreign for such an intelligent pony.

Even Spike who was still entitled as a baby dragon had picked up the awe-filled caresses of the heart when a certain other mare was in his presence. Twilight was just different. Her yet to be set heart had been searching for that significant other that would embrace her interests and needs.

And toward the heart had started through the stomach as Celestia mentally joked.

Watching as her beloved daughter-like figure clopped down the hall, a surge of warmth entered the sun princess’s heart as well. She couldn’t be more happy for Twilight. And while things were still taking a slow course, she felt in the right it would rise above even Spike’s romantic feelings.

And Equestria just might find itself with a new prince.

“So our fair mare has finally reached something with the handsome griffon , correct?”

As her student became a mere speck in the distance, the older royal turned to the goddess of the moon who approached her, quietly as to not receive any attention from the aforementioned chef in his room. Celestia smirked, raising a brow, marking her face in an expression rarely anyone would ever witness. Save for her sister.

“Of course, I thought so,” she chuckled. She gave the younger royal a teasing look. “Are you jealous?”

Luna pretended to cringe, her galactic green eyes rolling as she flipped her mane like a smart-aleck pony who knew better.

“As if, dear sister!” she huffed. “I was merely complimenting Sir Gustav.” Then she smiled. “I will admit that our dear Twilight Sparkle has earned herself quite a dashing one. And he’s not even a colt!”

“Species does not matter, my wonderful sister,” Celestia informed her lovingly as both goddesses began to trot down the hall where Twilight was last seen. “Love has no barriers.”

“Love is a very powerful thing,” Luna acknowledged knowingly. “Our Twilight knows that too well. After all, she is the Element of Magic. First she knew friendship. Now love.”

Celestia nodded, her mane gliding in unison with her sister’s. “She has changed so much since then.”

Luna regarded her carefully. “When exactly do you plan on making the proposition?” At this mention she smiled as her sister immediately wheeled toward her, eyes widening in surprise. “You’ve been considering for some time now.”

Celestia’s lips pressed in a soft ribbon, her eyes turning toward the moonlit sky her sister made even lovelier than before. The stars twinkled, speaking to her and assuring her of what the future will hold.

“Patience, dear sister,” she told her. “Let us give our pupil more time.”

“But when?” Luna inquired almost pleadingly.

Celestia chuckled softly. “When the moment is perfect and we know she is ready. We will know.”

“Very well,” Luna nodded. “After all, she’s got to deal with the fact she officially has a boyfriend, right?” Then she giggled. “Imagine her stressing over preparations for a date, Celestia!”

The sun sister giggled alongside the mare to the moon. “But with every difficulty, she always finds a way. And with Gustav by her side, I think it will make things a little easier.”

“With a glorious dish that will calm her nerves, I’m sure,” Luna laughed as they left the hall in which occupied the griffin’s room.

*More to come soon. After all, the episode took place before the dreaded Canterlot Wedding episode...*
