"You didn't show up." Rarity said to Jet as they were both at Jet's house.
"Show up where?"
"My place. Remember you told me you'd show up and let me examine your style of clothing."
"No." Jet also gave a shake in his head.
"?How about right now then?"
"Maybe, tomorrow." Jet said.
"Why not?"
"I'm in the middle of fixing it." Rarity gasp.
"You mean to tell me that you wear that suit as a daily cloths? I thought it was for a special occasion." Rarity looked concerned.
"If you count meeting a princess as a special occation then yah."
"My place now!" Her horn glowed and they both ended up at Rarity's build.
"I will only agree with this if you answer this question. What causes a sonic boom?" Rarity gave her best guess.
"Is it going super fast?" This wasn't wrong.
"Let me rephrase the question. Why does a sonic boom happen?"
"Going super speed." Rarity was stumped.
"Have you ever seen a sonic boom, or at least a draw of it?"
"I experienced one first hoof. My friend Rainbow Dash might know the answer. Don't tell me you know." Rarity rolled her eyes.
"In order for me to tell you something you don't know, you must first have a bit of trust." Jet look at the window and saw rainbows in an unnatural shape, a line.
"Rainbow Dash!" Rarity called out. Immediately Rainbow came in throught the window and onto the floor rolling a out of control.
"There's a more effective safeguard for falling out of control y' know. It's called the parkour roll." Jet said. She glanced at him with disbelief and then astonishing look. She noticed his outfit and thought it looked awesome.
"Tell me about it." Rainbow demanded.
"I can demonstrate." Jet looked at Rarity, who was trying to clean the crash mess Dash made. They both ran upstairs and opened a window.
Jet jumped out the window and hit the ground. He immediately when into a roll and started to run in that direction.
"Cool." Rainbow said as Jet slowed to a stop.
"Rarity wanted to ask, why does a sonic boom happen? I know the answer, but only agreed to let her study me if she knew the answer."
"It's caused by me going fast."
"But why is there a loud pop and a shockwave effect then?"
"I dunno."
"Do you know who knows? Besides me."
"You can't know that unless Twilight told you. Ask her." She points her hoof in the direction of Twilight's castle.
Jet went to her door and knock 21 times.
"May I help you?" Twilight asked.
"Why is there a loud noise when a sonic boom happens?" Twilight was taken aback but answer...
"Sonic booms happen when something breaks the sound barrier. Breaking it causes the loud noise."
"If something is silent then can it make a sonic boom?"
"I think not. May I ask for the correct answer?"
"Fine, you deserve it. A sonic boom gets its boom when an object hits its own sound wave faster than those sound waves move. The sound comes from the friction between the object and the air. When all of the waves meat at the system, it creates a large boom."
Twilight mind exploded.
