//------------------------------// // Prologue // Story: Chaos and Justice // by AwkwardVoid //------------------------------// The moon glistened in the sky, stars twinkling and shining their light to vast places throughout Manehattan. The moonlight streamed onto the empty streets. Mares, stallions, fillies and colts shut tight within their homes, apartments and late night businesses. Silence lulled everything to a dreamful sleep, no sound being made. All was silent, until the sound of police sirens rang across the night like a battle cry. A long etched shadow crept through the darkness of the streets, trying its best to go about undetected while avoiding street lamps, puddles of water, and coming cars, yet behind it the sounds of galloping stallions and police cars came and pursued closer. Barrels and other large objects popped out of thin air, being thrown straight at the police stallions and mares. Despite the objects in their path, the mares and stallions continued the pursuit, determined to catch the phantom that ran through the streets. The shadow stared down into a dark alleyway to it's left, yellow eyes and red pupils darting from the pursuing cops to the alleyway and back. The shadow grunted, then skidded into the alleyway, hoping in a quick escape. "Don't be a dead end like one of those cheesy cop movies. Oh dear Celestia please don't be a dead end." Yet the pleads from the etched shadow was grown to be short of hope, for the exact opposite appeared before him. A tall brick wall stood between him and his freedom, away from what was coming toward the alley at this moment. "I bucking hate karma." Despite his towering height, the shadow could not reach the top of the wall, his claws leaving marks on the red wall, as if it's the shadow's scratching post. Soon enough, the shadow was blinded by bright lights, the white illumination giving him shape and detail as to what the shadow looked like. He was a creature made up of many different animal parts: the gray head of a pony, a black mane going down his elongated neck, a goatee, the horn and leg of a goat; a deer antler and a lion's paw, an eagle claw, a bat wing and a blue pegasus wing, a green dragon's leg, a red snake tail with white fluff at the end, and a long, brown, furry serpentine body. He wore an orange jumpsuit, that of what criminals in prison have on, except his was tattered and torn, making it look run down and of absolute no use. A green unicorn mare walked up calmly in front of the parked police cars, all the police stallion and mares pointing pistols at the unique creature in front of them. "Discord, there is nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. You can either, calmly and collectively, come with us back to the station, or, you can do it the way you've always made it been. Difficult. It's your choice. I mean, hasn't it always been that way?" The green unicorn glared at Discord, trying to detect any sign of what was going through the creature's mind at the moment. If he could only listen and not get lost in his insane thoughts. But hopefully he would learn to just obey and come quietly, or go his chaotic ways and make it difficult for the officers to arrest him that way. And just as she feared, it had been the latter. Discord gave the officer mare a smirk, a toothy grin, then a chuckle which turned into a fit of laughter. The mare's frown only deepened more. "Oh Celestia! You are sure quite the joker, Pansy, HA! I should really hand it to you though, you should become a comedian some day cause your jokes are completely comedy gold! Hilarious! You're nearly making me fall apart in laughter!" His body separated into individual pieces, each part of himself falling apart and landing on the ground, his head bouncing as if it's a bouncy ball. The officers, in turn, all shrieked in terror and disgust. Discord then snapped his fingers, a white flash appearing and showing them his natural deformed form once more. Yet, as the officers below distract the beast that laid before them, above we're a pair of pegasi mares, a cyan pegasus with a rainbow colored mane and tail and a lavender alicorn with a mane that is dark lavender with light purple and pink streaks. The cyan pegasus pulled out two handcuffs from out of her bag, and with her magic emitting from her horn, the alicorn brought out that of a metal collar that had gems of many colors and shapes were encrusted onto it. The two waited above for the signal or approval from Pansy. To attack. While the two mares were busy trying to prepare for the strike, it seemed as if Discord had already had enough of the officers stalling and chit chatting to bring a dumpster to the front of himself, create a pistol from thin air, and shoot at the officers. 'If I go down, I'm going down with a fight. And a little chaos of course', Discord thought. As the scene took place, Pansy shot a blast of green magic in the air, a signal for the two mares in the air. The alicorn immediately swooped downward, bringing the collar towards the mismatched beast, the collar clasping itself around Discord's neck. Discord tried tugging it off him, but the metal would not break under his will. Yet, as he tried to use his magic to take it off, the collar immediately sensed it and electrocuted him, pain searing into his veins. Discord roared at the pain he felt, the shock collar giving him what the gems supported, agony and suffering. Once Discord crippled to the ground, the cyan pegasus swooped below, dropping the cuffs on the cemented floor. Pansy grabbed at it with her magic, and with a click; the cuffs were sealed tight on Discord's wrists. Discord growled in anger, still trying to snap his fingers, yet the pain grew with every sense that he was to use his magic. He finally stopped trying and looked up, shooting daggers at Pansy who stood before him. "Sparkle, Dash, good job", Pansy replied, looking over to the cyan pegasus, Rainbow Dash, and the alicorn, Twilight Sparkle. "Now as for you, I'm going to read you your rights. And this time, let's not zip up my lips when I say you have the right to remain silent, shall we?"
