//------------------------------// // Prologue (edited) // Story: The Legend of Zelda: Friendship is Magic // by MetalBrony823 //------------------------------// Ordon village, the home of Link himself, and his friends. The kids were playing. And it was so peaceful. Six months have passed since Link defeated the evil Ganondorf from taking over all of Hyrule. With him gone, everything was back to the way it should be, and both all of Hyrule, and the Land of Twilight. Right now, Link was in his Ordon clothes, and not in his hero uniform in Ordon Ranch, rounding up the Ordon goats, one of his daily things to do. He was riding on Epona, his valiant steed. After a few minutes, every Ordon goat was in the barn, all bleating. Link got off Epona, and said to Fado "all in a day's work, Fado." "Thanks, bud." Said Fado. "Now I can take the day off early." "Well I must be old." Link said. "I promised Colin that I would train him." "With a sword you mean?" Asked Fado Link nodded. "Oh, that's right. Take care, Link." Said Fado, before Link went off to Ordon Village. It was so peaceful. The birds were chirping, frogs were ribbiting, and not a cloud on sight. Rights for this track go to Nintendo While Link was riding off, a voice stopped him and Epona. "Link." Said a female voice. Link looked around him, and saw Ilia, the mayor's daughter. "Oh, hello Ilia." Link said politely. "Is there something wrong?" "Oh no." Said Ilia. "I just came to check up on you. Oh, and Epona too." "She's doing great, isn't that right girl?" Said Link while gently patting Epona's neck. The mare whinnied in response. "Good." Said Ilia with a smile. She looked at the kids who were playing in the pond near Rusl's house, filled with a few frogs. And fish. "I'm a little worried about Colin." She admitted "About what?" Link asked "How he will handle that sword." Ilia answered. "I just don't want him to get hurt," "Don't worry, ilia." Said Link. "Colin will be fine. He's a very responsible kid after all, and very mature. Besides, it's his parents, or my job to look after Colin. Rusl said it was okay for Colin to wield a sword after all." "You're right." Said Ilia. "I just want him to be careful." "I can appreciate that, Ilia." Said the hero. "Well, I better go and train him." "I'll take Epona for you." Said Ilia. "Thanks." Said Link. He patted Epona again, and Ilia took Epona with her, while Link went on foot in the main village to get Colin training. Colin himself was playing a game of tag with Talo, the son of jaggle, and Pergie, and the older brother of Malo, who is now a successful owner of "Malo Mart." "Hey, no fair." Said Talo playfully. "I tagged you fair and square." Said Colin teasingly. "Colin!" Link called, walking up to the kids with a smile "Oh, hey Link." Said Colin. "It's time for training." Said Link "Great! Let me go get my sword and shield." Link and Colin both entered the house with Uli, Colin's mother, giving her new baby girl some milk to feed. "Oh, hello, Link." Said Uli "Link." Said a male voice. It was Rusl, Colin's father. "Training Colin again, I see." He said jokingly "That I am, Rusl." Said Link. Colin went to get his sword, and shield. It was another Ordon sword, and a wooden shield. "Be careful, sweetie." "I will, mom." Colin replied. "My own boy, trying to became a warrior." Said Rusl. "I'm so proud of you, son." "Thanks, dad." Said Colin. "Okay, Link. Let's go." He followed Link to his house, which was on the outskirts of the main village. "Alright, Colin." said Link. "Let me teach you the basics again. First, let's do a horizontal swing." Colin unsheathed his sword and shield, took a little breath, and did a horizontal swing on the practice dummy with the pumpkin for a head. "Not bad." Link said impressively. "Now do a vertical attack." Colin did what link told him, and did a vertical slice. "How's this?" Colin asked. "Perfect." Link replied. "Now, do you remember how to do the spin attack?' "Yeah." "Try it." said Link, giving Colin some space for the spin attack. Colin spun, and it tore the pumpkin head into pieces. "Amazing." said Link impressively. "You're getting the hang of this, Colin." The boy blushed at his idol's comment. "Thanks." he replied. Colin has been getting better with the sword, and shield. After Link defeated Ganondorf, Colin started to use the sword and shield as a symbol and reward for his newfound bravery, and courage. He wasn't doing so well in the beginning, but he is slowly progressing on it, thanks to his idol, Link. "Just keep practicing, and you'll do great." said Link with encouragement. "I will." said Colin. He kept on attacking the practice dummy with excellent improvement. Link looked on at him, very proudly. He thought of Midna, the little imp turned beautiful woman that helped him on his quest to defeat Zant, and Ganondorf. He thought of her last words, right before she broke the mirror of Twilight before returning home Flashback "Link.... I.... See you later" said Midna when the mirror of Twilight was breaking, closing the path to the Twilight Realm. It may be broken forever Present Time It might be clear that Link might never see her again. She was such a big help for him on his quests, the enemies he had faced, and the dungeons he had to go through to find the mirror shards, and the pieces of the fused shadow pieces. Although it was a pretty difficult thing for Link to go through, he knows that it had to be that way to save all of Hyrule "Link?" said Colin. "Is everything alright?" Link was startled out of his thinking, and looked at Colin. "Yeah, everything's fine. Why?" he said "You look like you were thinking about something important." Colin answered "Oh, I... I was just thinking how amazing you will be with that sword when you grow up." Link said. Colin smiled at the comment. "Thanks, Link." he said while blushing. "Link!" Called a male voice. It was Bo, Ilia's father, and the mayor of Ordin village. He panted as soon as he came up to Link and Colin while he was running. "I am so sorry to.... interrupt." he said, catching his breath. "but I have very important news from Princess Zelda. She gave me this message for you." Link was surprised that Zelda had sent him something, and Bo handed it to him. He unfolded it, and he read out loud from it: Link I have had a vision that something terrible is upon us, and all of Hyrule. I need you to bring the Master Sword with you, and come to Hyrule Castle immediately. Please hurry Princess Zelda "Something terrible is going to happen?" said Colin in shock. "If it's from the princess, it sounds like it." said Link. "I better put on my hero clothes." He went into his house, an put on his green clothes, and his green cap on his head. He gathered his weapons and items in his magic pouch for when it maybe useful to him if needed. He equipped his Hylian shield as well. He got out of the house, and looked at Colin. "I'll be back." he said to him "Wait!" said Colin. "What is it?" "Can I come with you? Colin asked eagerly Link thought about it. "Umm.... I don't know." He said, uncertain. "It's... It's kind of dangerous. Besides, that would be up to your parents, not me. Besides, I think it would be best if you stayed here." Colin looked bummed by what Link just said "Don't take it that way, Colin. I just don't want you to get hurt." said Link. "You understand, do you?" "I do." Colin replied, a little sadly. Link thought about what he said for a moment, and made up his mind by saying "You know, Colin. Maybe you can come. I just need to talk to your parents first, and see what they think. Colin's frown turned into a smile. "Really? Link nodded a "yes" "Thanks, Link." said Colin with excitement Link smiled and went down the ladder, and went to Colin's house, with the boy himself following his brotherly figure. In the village, he saw Rusl, and Uli, holding Colin's baby sister in her arms. "Rusl? Uli?" Link called. "Can I talk to you?" "Sure, Link. What is it?" said Rusl. Link took a little breath, and said to Colin's parents "I received a message from Princess Zelda. She wants me to come to Hyrule Castle immediately. She says that their is trouble brewing in Hyrule once again." He looked at Colin, and continued to the parents "Colin wants to come with me. Can... can he come?" Rusl and Uli looked a little uncertain about their son going with Link. "I don't know, Link." said Uli. "I don't want our boy to get hurt." "Don't worry, Uli." said Link. "He has me to protect him." "You're right." said Rusl. "He does have a sword and shield after all now." He looked at his wife, and said to her "I think I can trust Link. What do you think, honey?" Colin's mother thought of it for a moment, and said "I suppose. Alright, Colin can go with you, but... please keep him safe." "He'll be in good hands." said Link. Uli smiled. She handed the baby to Rusl, and went up to Colin, bending herself to his height to make better eye contact with him. "Please be careful, sweetie." she hugged Colin, and gave him a kiss on his forehead "Don't worry, mom. I will." said Colin. "Make your old man, proud." said Rusl, rubbing Colin's shoulder. "I will dad. I promise." said Colin proudly. "Shall we go then?" Link said to Colin. "Let's go." the boy replied, following Link to get Epona. "Take care, sweetie." said Uli, waving at the two. Link found Epona resting near the lake with Ilia next to her, and Link said "Ilia, I need Epona. It's something from Princess Zelda." "Go ahead, Link." said Ilia. "She's had enough rest already." "Thanks." said Link. He got on Epona, and said to Colin "Come on, Colin." He gave the boy a hand, and was sitting behind him, and they galloped to the Faron woods. Faron woods "Colin." said Link as Epona was still galloping. "I need to get the Master sword before we can go to Castle town, alright?" "Okay, Link." Colin replied. "Where can I wait?" "Coro's place." Link replied. "Okay." Epona still galloped until Link stopped her at Coro's house. He got off, and then saw Cora sitting near his fireplace as usual. "Ah, hey Link." he said kindly. "Hello, Coro. Can you do something for me?" Link asked "Sure thing. What?" said Coro "I need you to watch Colin for a little while, I'm going to go get the Master Sword, for I must use it once again." Link answered. "Of course." said Coro. "I'll take care of him." "Thanks." said Link. "I'll be back Colin, just hold on, okay?" "Okay, Link." said the boy. Link Smiled and went deeper into the Faron woods to get the Master Sword. Coro and Colin looked at eachother. "Hey, you wanna see a trick kid?" said Coro "Sure, what is it?" Colin asked curiously "Watch this." Nineteen minutes Later Almost Twenty minutes have passed, and Link came back, with the Master sword in it's scabbard, behind Link's back. "I'm back." he said. Colin was just relaxing by the fire place with Coro. Link decided to go alone on trying to get the Master Sword, because He didn't want anyone to see him transform into his wolf form to get it, espiecially Colin. "Great!" said Colin. "Let's go." He and Link got on Epona again, and then went to Castle Town. "Thanks, Coro." Link called "You're welcome, buddy." Coro called back to him. As they were riding, Colin asked "Did you get it okay." "Yep, I didn't have any problem at all." Link replied. He remembered that the Skull kid would always love to... play with him when he got the Master Sword, or getting into the Temple of Time dungeon. This time, the Skull kid didn't give him any trouble at all. Of course he isn't evil, he just likes to play tricks. The two rode on into Hyrule field, and saw that there was hardly any enemies walking on it's soil. The only hostile creatures there were, were just a few Kargaroks, flying around in circles. They didn't really bother Link, Colin, and Epona, for they were too far away. "I know a short cut." said Link. "Hang on." he spurred Epona, and she was galloping faster than ever. She ran to the southern outskirts just outside of Castle town. Only one Kargarok saw them, and swooped down on them, but Link shot it down with his bow and arrow to the head, killing it instantly "Nice shot." said Colin. "Thanks." They saw the main gates of the southern outskirts, and saw the drawbridge open for them. "Where should we put Epona? asked Colin. "She can come with us." Link answered. Epona ran through Castle Town, and everyone stood clear of the horse. The people and citizens recognized Link very easily, for they know that he was the one that killed Ganondorf. Several people praised link as a hero for it, and sometimes cheered "Long live the Hero of Twilight!" "Halt!" said a guard. "Who goes there?" The guard recognized Link, and said "Oh, Link. I didn't recognize you. The princess is expecting you." He saw Colin behind him, and said "Who's the boy?" "A very good friend of mine." Link answered. "He wants to be like me." "Can I... Can I come in?" said Colin a little nervous. "Of course, kid. If Link has brought a guest with him, the princess will have no problem at all." said the Guard kindly. Link and Colin got off of Epona after that. "I'll take care of your horse for ya until you return." "Thank you, sir." said Link. "Come along, Colin." "Coming." said Colin following Link to Hyrule Castle. As they went inside the castle, there were so many guards, doing their daily duties. Colin looked a little nervous, and said "I don't know, Link. They're kind of staring at me." "Don't worry, Colin. They won't give you any trouble." said Link in a reassuring voice. "You'll be fine." Link and Colin approached a doorway with two guards near it. "Ah, Link." said one of them. "The princess is waiting for you." "Come right in." said another, then Link and Colin followed another group of guards as they went inside, up the staircase to the throne room. Colin was truly amazed by how beautiful the castle looked on the inside. "This is amazing." said Colin "I know." said Link. "I was truly amazed myself when I first came here." "First time here, kid?" said a guard teasingly "Yeah." Replied. "Well, you're in full of surprises." said another guard, as the four continued walking to the throne room. Zelda's throne room They finally made it. "Your majesty." said a guard. "You have visitors." said the other. "Excellent." said Zelda. There she was, sitting on her throne. "Leave us." she ordered, and then the guards walked out of the room, like Zelda ordered them to do. Link bowed himself to the princess, and then Colin tried doing exactly what Link did. "Hello, Link." said Zelda. "Hello, princess." Link replied. Zelda noticed Colin, and said "Hello there." She bent down on her knees to Colin's level. "Look at me. what's your name?" she asked kindly "C- Colin... your majesty." was all he can say. "He's a very good friend of mine." said Link. "He wants to be like me when he grows up." Zelda giggled and said "Oh, I can see that." "You... you don't mind if I'm here, do you?" said Colin nervously "Of course not, sweetie." said Zelda very softly as she gently placed her hand on Colin's cheek. "You are more than welcome to be here for as long as you want. Don't be nervous." "Thank you... you majesty." said Colin "You can just call me, Princess." she said kindly. "Oh, well, thank you.... princess." said Colin. Link and Zelda giggled at his satement. "So, what is the trouble?" Link asked "Right, so I have had a terrible vision of a new threat that may be coming to Hyrule. It may be far worse than Ganondorf." Zelda answered. "I was thinking that you can stop it." "Do you know where I can find it?" said Link. "Well.... no. I haven't found anything yet. I already sent a few of my soldiers to investigate what is happening around Hyrule for any evidence." Zelda said "Have they found anything suspicious?" asked Link "Not yet." Zelda replied. "All I know is that I keep having these visions of these evil, monstrous horses that look more like insects that will take over all of Hyrule in my dreams." "What can we do?" asked Colin "I'll see what I can do." said Zelda. "I just want to inform you that if you see anything very suspicious in Hyrule, please. Come tell me, or anyone of my guards." "I will, your majesty." said Link. "If something does happen, can you send one of your men to tell me what is happening?" "Of course." "I will do something about it, Princess. I promise." said Link with courage in himself. Zelda smiled at him. "Thank you Link. What would I do without you?" She bent down to Colin again, and said "It's a pleasure to meet you Colin." She then gave him a long motherly kiss on his forehead, making him blush. "Thank you, princess." said Colin. Zelda smiled at him. "Thank you two for coming." she said. "I'll see you soon, princess." said Link. "Farewell." Zelda replied. as Colin and Link walked down the castle, and then heading back to Ordon Village Equestria Ponyville was as normal and peaceful as it is always. Twilight Sparkle, the new Princess of Equestria was looking in her studies in her new castle. "Spike." she said "Yeah, Twi?" said Spike, her number one assistant and a baby dragon that is her good friend. "Can you help me with something please?" Twilight asked politely "Sure, what is it?" Spike asked "Can you help me carry these books to my room?" "Sure thing, Twi." Spike replied. He and Twilight lifted some of the books to the main bedroom. In it, was an extra bed that was now meant for Spike, instead of a basket with a blanket on top of it. Twilight, and Spike sat the books on the main bed, presumably recognized as Twilight's. "Thanks, Spike." she said sweetly "that's what good friends are for." Spike replied. All of a sudden, bot Spike and Twilight had visions of a mysterious being, walking on his hind-legs, wearing green clothes, and a green cap. He carried a sword and shield in his hands. "What happened?" said Twilight "I don't know." said Spike. "You had the same vision too?" "Yeah... I... I don't even know how to describe it." Twilight replied. "Ah, it's probably nothing." Spike said. "Yeah, you're right." said Twilight. "Let's just focus on my work." "On it." said Spike. Twilight read her books while Spike took a nap on his new bed.
