A Dazzling Tale

Living a Non-Equestrian Life

I hate this world. I hate Starswirl and I hate the jerks who hate us because we're half-pony and half-Siren. I planned to get revenge on Starswirl as soon as we got back to Equestria. I was going to take over Equestria and this world with the help Aria and Sonata. We will be adored and we won't ignored.

It was difficult to gain power here considering there was no magic here, but we were able to get by OK just by gaining power via negative energy from ordinary humans. However, the energy in this world is significantly different from that of Equestria. While I'd much rather be in Equestria, I've been able to find some things I enjoy doing here.

I ran into the living room with my phone.

"Girls, I just found the funniest video on the internet! You have to watch it!" I said.

"Show me!" Aria said.

I took a seat on the couch. Aria and Sonata crowded around me as I played the video.

The female narrator spoke. It was obvious the video had been made in order to humiliate whoever this Twilight Sparkle girl is. The girl acted as if she was a pony. How ridiculous yet interesting. I could be reading too much into this, but perhaps she's from Equestria.

"Whoever created this video is a genius," Aria said through laughter.

We laughed for a little while longer.

"So, who's ready to get their butt kicked by me in Pokémon?" I said.

"You won't be kicking my butt in that game, 'cause I'll be kicking yours!" Aria said.

"Oh. It. Is. On!" I said.

I grabbed my 3DS out of my bedroom and put in Pokémon Y. Aria was going to lose badly and I'd be laughing at her for it. It took 3 hours and we had about 25 battles or so.

"And the winner is Dagi!" Sonata declared.

"In your face," I said.

"Dang it," Aria said.

"I'm bored. I wish we were in Equestria," Sonata said.

"We all wish we were in Equestria, but we're not," I said, "so, what do you say we go somewhere and cause some trouble?"

"Let's do it!" Aria said.

I thought we'd go to Canterlot Café and cause some tension there.

"Before we go, let me change my outfit into something more comfortable since we'll be walking there," I said, running off to my room.

I opened my closet and pulled out my violet colored hoodie and a pair of jeans, then I opened the stylish jewelry box where I keep all my accessories and pulled out a spiked headband to match. I had a spiked headband to go with all of my outfits, this one had a dark violet base with short violet spikes; it was pretty much a differently colored version of the one I'm wearing right now, the only difference was the one I was wearing had light brown spikes.

I swapped out the headbands, changed into my hoodie and jeans, then slipped on a pair of sneakers instead of my studded heels. I took a moment to admire myself in the mirror. I itched my neck where I was wearing my pendant; it could get so annoying to wear it sometimes, but I'm always afraid that if I take it off it will get misplaced or broken. If my pendant ever broke, I wouldn't have the power to make everyone adore me and I'd never get back to Equestria.

I walked out into the living room. Sonata and Aria were pretty much wearing the same clothes as me except Sonata's hoodie was more of a magenta while Aria's hoodie was a dark mint color.

"Nice outfits, you two," I said, "I suppose we're going as triplets?"

I laughed lightly.

"I guess so," Aria said, laughing lightly.

"Wait. This doesn't mean I'm actually Aria's sister, right?" Sonata asked.

"No. You're not actually Aria's sister," I said.

"Good, 'cause that would really bite," Sonata said.

We took the stairs down to the outside, mainly because I didn't trust Sonata to not push all the elevator buttons again. We walked outside. It was a bit on the chilly side, but I didn't mind it too much.

"Hey, while we're out, can we go shopping?" Sonata asked.

"Hmm, I don't see why not," I said.

"Noooo," Aria groaned.

I rolled my eyes.

"C'mon, let's go," I said, grabbing Aria's arm and dragging her along.

Aria eventually willingly followed along. We went to several of stores and tried on a lot of clothes.

It took forever, but Sonata and I were able to convince Aria to try on some things. She tried on this crazy outfit consisting of a navy blue bodice, a weird almost translucent green skirt, and crazy striped leggings; what in the world was she thinking?

"I have to buy this, what do you guys think of this outfit?" Aria said.

"It's... horrible," I said.

Aria huffed.

"Whatever, I'm buying it anyways," she scoffed.

"Suit yourself," I said.

Aria walked to the counter and pulled out her cash.

"I'd like to buy this," she said to the shopkeeper.

She handed them the money and we left.

We walked down to the café. The air seemed more confrontational somehow. Fitting I suppose. When we walked in, the café was very crowded, which was perfect.

It was just too easy. All we had to do now was start singing then everyone would start fighting. I smirked smugly. I loved nothing more than causing tension and destroying relationships between others.

The girls and I walked in with our hoods on; we were concealing our identities so no one would ever know what, more like who, hit them. Now, how do I fit all of my hair into one tiny hood? That's a secret you'll never know.

We took a seat at a booth in the back of the café. We sat down and began vocalizing. Within a few seconds, everyone was completely riled up. A trail of negative energy snaked its way towards us. It entered into our pendants, which glowed faintly after absorbing it.

We removed our hoods. Aria let out a contemptuous huff.

"That was barely worth the effort, Adagio," she said, "I'm tired of fast food; I need a meal."

I rolled my eyes. I removed my hood and shook my hair out.

"The energy in this world isn't the same as in Equestria; we can only gain so much power here," I said.

I only told her that several times before.

"Ugh! I wish we had never been banished to this awful place!" Aria scoffed.

"Really? I love it here," I said sarcastically. I narrowed my eyes.

Sonata began I speaking and I switched my gaze to her.

"For realsies? Because I think this place is the worst," Sonata said.

Of course she didn't pick up on my sarcasm; because that would just be too easy. Idiot.

Then here comes Aria with one of her stupid remarks.

"I think you're the worst, Sonata," Aria scoffed.

"Oh yeah? Well I think you're—" I cut Sonata off mid-sentence

"Ergh, I'll tell you one thing: being stuck here with you two isn't making this world anymore-" I clenched my teeth. "Bearable," I growled through clenched teeth.

I looked outside and saw ominous clouds appearing. All of the sudden there was a bright beam of light shooting upwards into the sky. My eyes widened. What in the world was going on out there?

I ran outside and powerful wind whipped at me. I saw Aria and Sonata walk out. I returned my attention to the sky and suddenly a pair of rainbows shot out into the sky. My pendant shined for a brief moment.

I gasped. It couldn't be, or could it? "Did you feel that?" I said. I steadied my gaze on the sky and smirked. I looked at Aria and Sonata. "Do you know what that is?" I said, gesturing to the sky.

They looked around with puzzled expressions. "Eh, I 'unno," they said, shrugging. I expected more from... Aria, but Sonata, that was to be expected. I grabbed the collar of Aria's hoodie.

"It's Equestrian magic," I growled.

Aria looked at me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. "But this world doesn't have Equestrian magic," she protested.

I let go of her hoodie and turned around, facing the sky once more.

"Well it does now," I said, walking forward, "and we're going to use it to make everyone in this pathetic little world adore us."

I placed my right hand on my hip, smirking.
