//------------------------------// // Prologue // Story: A Key in Equestria // by Kamen rider yokai //------------------------------// It was just a normal day for me. That was before I met that merchant. Let me introduce myself. I'm James your average nineteen year old from California. I had brown hair that just won't stay neat and had emerald eyes. I was dressed as my favorite game character Sora in his kh2 incarnation. Minus the oversized clown shoes. Yep I had mostly the whole ensemble. Black shirt under a black jacket with armor sewn into the shoulders ,a crown pendent, black pants with a pair of red pouches instead of pockets and had a chain attached to my belt loops holding my wallet. I even wore the gloves. To replace the shoes I used a pair of skin tight latex boots. At first glance they look like combat boots but were insulated rubber to protect me from electric water. Saved my life once when a broken electrical wire fell into a puddle I was walking in. Back to the matter at hand. It was the local game convention in Los Angeles and this time I had managed to finally save up to attend. This was going to be my first convention and I wanted to have a great time. The only thing I needed was a Keyblade and some Keychains. Hopefully I can find some at the convention. I doubt I could find the Keyblade there but I had hope on the Keychains. Little did I know that would be not only my first convention but also my last one. My dad dropped me off and warned me yet again about being careful not to get attacked by gangsters. Yes you heard that right I'm nineteen and I can't drive. Never applied for the licence and got my own car. I'm more of a motorcycle fan. But actually I'm not interested in most things guys my age like. Definitely not a sports fan and not much for cars. Never did see why that was so much hype. You would only see me play card games and write stories. But don't let that fool you I happen to know martial arts since I was four. I even tried to teach myself the fox style. Mainly because I'm quick on my feet in more ways than one or something. Anyway so far I had a good time at the convention. I still wonder when they will get kh3 out as the trailer said 2014 but it was already the next year! Yeah as you can tell I'm a huge KH fan. Kingdom Hearts came out when I started middle school and was what got me hooked into final fantasy. So far I played X, Xll, and the first crystal chronicles game. I even watched Advent Children. Square Enix is definitely one of my favorite brands and guess what! I found a stand dedicated to Kingdom Hearts! I picked up a craft your own Keyblade Keychains set that would allow me to make eight Keychains. Or nine seems someone at the factory left a extra and no one even spotted the mistake oh well my gain. I placed my purchase in a offered plastic bag and looked to see if they sold a  Keyblade. Shame there wasn't. I walked off and sighed. Suddenly a stand caught my eye. It was ran by the creepiest merchant I had ever seen and though I never played Resident Evil but I have heard descriptions of this guy.  Deciding to see what he had I walked up. That was my first mistake. His wares were placed haphazardly and it was hard to see what was what. I think I spotted the Auricle from Kamen Rider Kuuga in there somewhere. But than I spotted two objects that just called to me. It was two Keychains. The first was a black version of my crown pendant with the again being black diamond marks. The second was star shaped and seemed to be made of seashells with the chain being white versions of the first ones. I recognized them as Oblivion and Oathkeeper's Keychains respectively. When I asked how much they were worth the owner told me that each was only two dollars. I was surprised as I gotten my craft set for ten bucks. After that would leave me with fifty left. So being the idiot I am I bought the two. I clipped them to the chain on my person and than I saw they and my body started to glow. It was then I realized my mistake. I had heard of various disappearances lately but thought they were rumors. My bad. "What the hell" i shouted my Irish accent coming out in my shock. Yeah you heard that right I'm part Irish. Descended from seventeen generations of Irish kings to be exact. That explains my green eyes its that deep in my genetic code. When I could see again I found myself above the Castle of the Two Sisters meaning this was the past judging by the fact the Everfree wasn't as large and the castle wasn't in ruin. Great I am not looking forward to this at all. Just hope there is someone who can help me because it looks like I'm in trouble. And so I fell like a rock and crashed into the roof of the castle and lost consciousness and my last thought. It was: next time I see that merchant he is going to die. (End chapter one)
