Selene will admit it to the world: for a fashion designer, Rarity is fit. Either that or she is able to break physics when she wants to make a dress. Selene was about to turn another block when she heard a phone ring behind her. She took a glance back to see Rarity stopped with a phone by her ear.
“WHAT!?” Rarity screams into her phone as Selene cautiously walks up to her. “Okay we're coming back. See you then darling.” Rarity closed the phone and looked at Selene. “They need us back at Sugar Cube Corner. I'll just have to dress you later.”
“If you can.” Selene replied as the two head back.
They walked through the door to see an interesting sight: two Sunset Shimmers and two Twilight Sparkles. The difference between the ponies and their doppelgängers was immediately apparent, and not just because the ponies were sitting at the table with the human equivalents of the elements. While pony Sunset wore a lavender shirt with her cutie mark. Her skirt was orange with vanilla and lavender stripes in the corner. She wore her gold and red hair free and had a black jacket and black boots that had some weird design in bright lavender in the front. The Human Sunset meanwhile had, in some form of irony, her gold and red hair in a ponytail. Her jacket and boots were the same but orange instead of black and she wore shorts over a skirt. Human Twilight had the same hairstyle pony Twilight had but wore the cliché white lab coat that was filled with pens, notepads, and various gizmos. She also wore shoes instead of those poorly designed boots. Anything else she might have worn was hidden by the coat. The human Twilight had some gizmo pointed at pony Twilight while looking at the gauges on it. Pony Twilight was looking curiously at the device. Both Sunsets were staring at each other while Luna had that resigned look while she shook her head.
“Rarity, Selene, you're back!” Pinkie said excitedly.
“And our front.” Selene replied getting a giggle from Pinkie and a facepalm from Rarity. Selene looked over the situation and didn't like it. The cafe was just too public to continue here. “Uh girls, why don't we move this somewhere more private.”
“Anypony have a problem with that?” Pony Twilight asked.
“Did she just say anypony?” human Twilight interrupted. Human Sunset stated,
“Well I want answers so we are going where you are going.”
“My mansion can house all of us. My sister will want to know about this matter.” Luna interjected. Not finding a reason to refuse that, Selene asked.
“Any objections?” human Twilight raised her hand.
“I do have a dog in the car.”
“As long as it is house trained, we will not have a problem.” The Human Twilight and Sunset got their food and soon everybody was following to Luna's car.

Luna's car was a black sporty looking thing with the licensee plate IAMNMM. Selene just shook her head at that and climbed in with Twilight.
“Hey Twi, you see that plaque?”
“Yes I did, what does it mean?”
“It's short for 'I am Nightmare Moon'.” Twilight winced at that.
“I wonder how that worked in this world?” She asked.
“Beats me.” Taking a regal pose Selene continued, “The School Night shall last FOREVER! Mwahahahaha!” That got Twilight giggling as Selene noticed Luna looking at them oddly through the mirror. Minutes later they went through some gates and pulled up to the front of a castle-like mansion. The others got out of their respective cars and Luna addressed them.
“Welcome to Everfree Mansion.” Selene had to admit, it was big and old world style.
'Two bits this was their version of the Royal Sisters Castle.' Selene thought to herself. Everyone looked at it in awe before Rainbow Dash asked.
“Hey Vice Principle, how did you afford this place?”
“Our family was among the first to settle this place with the Apple family and our family was rich then so they built this place. Both me and my sister don't need to teach the school but we want to teach so we do. Come, my sister is waiting.” They followed her in and everyone took a look around. Selene noticed a huge organ in a large room.
'I wonder if this version triggers trap doors and such.' Eventually they were led in to a HHHHHHUUUGGE living room with two high backed chairs, one gold the other dark blue and the roof was completely made of glass. Selene smirked at the resemblance. Everyone settled down as Luna went to get her sister and both appeared a few minutes later taking the high back seats.
“It is good to see you again Princess Twilight though I am surprised to see two of you and Sunset Shimmer.” Celestia said as she broke the ice.
“It's certainly surprising for us.” Human Sunset commented then looked at her double. “Care to explain yourself?”
“First explain why you came to Canterlot High School. Then we'll explain our existence.” Human Sunset frowned then sighed and relented.
“Fine, it started over a year ago.....”

Crystal Heart Academy Lab
Sunset needed to get this project done. Not only would it help her grade but it would begin the start of a new era for science. She entered the lab and saw the usual person there. Twilight Sparkle. She's Principle Cadance's sister in law and among the few who can keep up with herself. Twilight was in the lab more than her, which is saying something.
She was minutes into her work when alarms blared by Twilight's work area. She looked over and saw Twilight scanning all the screens while adjusting a instrument here or there.
“What the heck is going on?” She asked.
“I don't know? I was taking atmospheric measurements when suddenly the readings surged. There's some electrical event going on.” This roused Sunsets curiosity.
“Need any help?” Twilight pointed to the instruments on her left.
“If you can monitor those, that would be great.” Sunset did and was in awe of the readings. So much electrical energy was in the air you'd think there was a massive thunderstorm going on, but the forecast was clear. The energy did die down but then they saw a couple of small spikes before it surged again. “By the stars this is bigger than the initial surge.” Twilight said and both girls went over the readings which lasted over about two minutes before subsiding. The two spent the next two hours going over their findings. “I have never seen anything like this, have you Sunset?”
“No I haven't. This went all over the spectrum and is surprisingly harmonious.” Sunset looked carefully at the readings. “We should tell Principle Cadance about this tomorrow.”

They did but nothing really came of it. Officials reported a gas tank explosion at the time and Cadance thought what the girls got was effects of equipment being destroyed during the explosion. The girls weren't fully convinced of it and kept an eye out for another event.
The girls got there wish months later as the readings spiked even more than before with two different signatures and they lasted for minutes before the returned harmonious one got stronger and the other just dropped off the screen. They decided not to tell Principle Cadance and looked around for clues. Twilight figured out it was located in a nearby city and Sunset narrowed it down to be near or in Canterlot High School. Sunset found out that the school requested a construction crew and there were several pictures of the front of the school just being gone after the first incident. Since it was now spring break both Twilight and Sunset decided to check out the school.

“And that brings us to tonight. So we explained our part. Now explain those two.” Human Sunset said, pointing to the pony counterparts. Selene decided to take that up and explained that situation. During the talk Luna grabbed some snacks for everyone. Taking a sip of root beer, Selene finished,
“And that's how we got to here.” While Celestia had wide eyes, human Sunset and Twilight had the full wide eyes and jaw drops going on.
“So that explains why my attempts at contacting Sunset's parents or guardian failed.” Celestia finally commented after a full minute. Before anything further could be said, there was a sound of glass shattering and everybody moved as they saw the ceiling fall on them. Everyone had cuts from it but nothing serious thankfully. Unfortunately, they didn't have long to think on that as several black clad figures landed on the floor. They were armed and pointing at everyone.
“WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS!?” Luna demanded.
“Well ma'am. I have orders to take you all into custody.” One of the figure's replied.
“And you thought it best to smash our ceiling?” Celestia asked.
“Not to mention needing a warrant dude.” Selene commented.
“We don't need a warrant to deal with national security issues.”
“I beg to differ. Many here are American citizens and that does entitle them to rights. You can't just break in here without a warrant so I suggest you give Miss Celestia a number to claim damages and get the HELL out.”
“No you freaks are coming with us. Our agency has been monitoring the events for some time now. We already have those girls calling themselves the Dazzlelings for study and now we have you. Let's take them out boys.” One of the figures grabbed Fluttershy who whimpered and forced her away from her seat.
“Please don't mister.” She weakly begged. The figure responded by twisting her arm causing her to yelp and cry. That did it for Selene. No matter which version, Fluttershy was a kind and caring being who's fear and shyness hid a powerful will. No one hurts her without experiencing pain themselves. Unbeknownst to Selene but in full view of the captors, Selene's hair was beginning to become starry and her eyes had turned to their draconic form.
