Since the defeat of Tirek, Discord did anything to win the trust of the ponies, and of course, the trust of his new best friends, the Mane 6.
He helped Applejack with her duties from the farm;
Rarity being her mannequin for new clothes;
Rainbow Dash with her new moves to fly;
Pinkie Pie, well you know, with her parties;
Twilight with her new castle
and of course his best friend,
Fluttershy.
He helped her with her animals, even he doesn't like them very much, and with her cottage.
Discord became more close to the Mane 6 and Spike, even he had talks with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Discord finally had real friends and learned the true meaning of friendship, but he still feels a little unsafe about Tirek, because sometimes he feels the dark inside him, but all this disappears when he spent his time with his 6 favorites ponies in the world and a little purple dragon.
One morning, Applejack was going to see Fluttershy and Discord, especially Discord because she needs help to get out some trash of their backyard, actually the vegetal part. Applejack knock the door, listening Fluttershy laughing with his friend. Finally she open the door.
"Hi Fluttershy, how you doin'?" said Applejack.
Fluttershy was cleaning her desk after her tea party with Discord.
"Oh, Hi Applejack. I'm fine thanks. What brings you here?"
"I was just wondering if you could borrow me Discord for a moment"
Discord, heard that, pop between the two ponies.
"Why, my dear country friend, do you need my services?" said Discord dressed like a lawyer.
The country pony giggle. "All i need is to help me with a couple of chores."
"Of course. It will be my placer"
But then, only a few seconds left, a letter pop out surprising the three friends. It was adress to Discord.
"What in tardanation?" said Applejack
"For who is it?" asked Discord
Fluttershy read the adress.
"It's for you, Discord. It's from Princess Celestia." answer Fluttershy.
"For me? What would Celestia want so early?"
Discord read it.
"Dear Discord. I need you and Twilight's friends present here in Canterlot, at my castle for a meeting. I got news but my sister and i need your help, with the Mane 6 of course. I will give all explanations about this, i already wrote to Princess Twilight, so get here soon as possible.

"So, what does it say?"ask Applejack
"Celestia wants all of us, including me, to meet her in Canterlot. It is important." said Discord in a serious voice.
"Oh goodness. Is something bad?" ask Flittershy
"I don't know. She said that we must go to Canterlot at once."
"Alright then. Forget my problem. Princess Celestia needs us. I'm goin' to tell the others."said Applejack.
Minutes then, the Mane 6, Spike and Discord take the first train to Canterlot, actually Discord just transport himself to the train station of Canterlot and wait his friends there.
"I said it once and i'm saying again. I hate the train. Why don't yoy guys fly and help the others by transportation?" asked Discord when his friends arrives.
"Please don't start now Discord." said Twilight.
All the ponies got inside the castle when they meet the Princesses, including Princes Candance.
"Oh my gosh, is everything alright? we are been attached?, who is dying?, what is go..."said Pinkie Pie before being shouted by Applejack's hoof.
"No, is nothing of that." said Princess Luna.
"Then what is so important?" said Rainbow Dash.
"You wrote that you got news. What is it about?" said Twilight.
Princess Celestia look Discord for a while and then said.
"I'm afraid that we got the visit of the Pony of the Shadows."
All gasped, but no Discord.
"Oh, come on Celestia. That is nothing but a legend." said Discord.
"It is not Discord. We saw it." said Luna. "The Pony of the Shadows get in the mind of ponies and especially creatures because they are the more dangerous, like dragons; griffons,... and you Discord!!!"
"My Luna, do you really think that i'm going to betrayed my friends again?!" said Discord.
"We are not meaning that Discord." said Cadance " We mean that all of us must need to be careful. Maybe the Pony of Shadows can corrupt anyone of us and make it suffer."
"Why only make it suffer? It doesn't want to take over Equestria or somethin'?" ask Applejack.
"The meaning of The Pony of the Shadows is to give darkness and suffering in the lives of ponies. And now that Discord is release, maybe it want to corrupt him." said Celestia. "That's why I am telling this to all of you. Now that Tirek is defeated, there is harmony and love in Equestria, but if the Pony of the Shadows wants to expand dark magic here, we have to prevent to hang the dark thoughts or dreams the it's going to create in our mind."
"Not only on us, it can get in any pony head" said Princess Luna. "That's why if any of you see the Pony of the Shadows in your dreams just tell me and i will be able to defeat it or at least locate it."
"Obviously because is a shadow." said Discord
"Don't worry Princesses, we'll inform you if anypony is having this thoughts right girls?" said Twilight
"Of course darling" said Rarity
"Me too" said Fluttershy
"Me three" said Pinkie Pie
"Eyup"said Applejack
"Don't worry" said Spike
"I never have nightmares or something like that but if it's the rule, i'm on it." said Rainbow Dash.
Discord was the only one who doesn't respond because he already had a dream like that but he doesn't want to worry anypony, especially his friends.
" Well, i'm glad to hear that. Thanks for your time. You may go."said Princess Celestia
The Mane 6 and Spike said goodbye, but Discord stay in the room.
"Umm, Celestia, Luna. Can I talk to you? said Discord "Alone..." said this time looking Princess Cadance.
"Oh, sorry. I'm leaving." said Princess Cadance
She left and Celestia look at her sister and then at Discord worry.
"What is it Discord?"ask Celestia
"I need Luna get in my dreams tonight." said Discord " Maybe she knows something about this last dreams that I'm having."
"Why? What kind of dreams are yours?" ask Princess Luna.
"I don't know if they are nightmares, visions, or..." said Discord looking other way. "memories.
