A Lot Can Happen In One Day/Silent's Fresh Start - GTA - Garret Chapter 1(BGR)

Today started out fine. I woke up, went through the morning routine, and things were going fine. I went to work, talked to some friends, got a promotion, and things were going fine. I went home, started playing games with friends, won most of the games, and SHOCKER! Thing's. Were. Going. FINE! But something went wrong, and the worst part is I know what happened.

Well... not exactly. I know for the most part what happened. But I don't know the full story. I knew where I was. The great city of Canterlot. In Equestria. Yeah, I freaked out too. I know that I got transported there, but I don't know how. I wish I did though. Maybe then I would be able to go back to my perfect life. Where I had a life! A life filled with a job, and a house, and friends!

Let me start from the beginning. Maybe then I can get through the craziness of the first day. Maybe then I will figure out what happened.

As I woke up the smells of the city came to my nose. The smells were as horrible as always. I didn't want to get up but I knew I had no choice. I opened my eyes the tiniest bit. Then I opened them all the way, because I was not in my bed. I jumped up and looked around. The place where I had been resting was an alleyway in what seemed to be a relatively clean city. A cleaner city then the one I lived in. Maybe I got drunk. Maybe? No that's not possible if I got drunk I would not be wearing clothes. I was currently wearing the same outfit I always wear which is a grey shirt and blue jeans.

There was only one way to figure this situation out. I walked out of the alleyway to see a bustling city. But it wasn't as bustling as my city. My city. My home. Looking around this unknown city I saw a... a... pony. No not those ponies. Anthro ponies. Or at least that's what I think. But I've only heard about anthro ponies in one case. He had white fur and a blue mane. His suit looked as though it would cost my entire life. He also had the most interesting mustache.

I walked up to him and said in my most professional voice, "Hey dude do you know where I am?" I probably should have shown some more respect but my mind was still tired so it didn't register to me. He looked at me strangely before speaking, "Why you're in Canterlot. While you're here you might want to clean yourself up while you're here. Ponies here don't like anything that isn't fancy."

I stared at him, "Would you care to repeat that," I said, "I seem to have lost my hearing."

He sighed and repeated, "You're in Canterlot. The capital of Equestria."

Well I definitely heard that right. I pinched myself. Not a dream. "Okay," I said, "Could you point me to the nearest bar?"

So it turns out that Euros didn't work in Equestria. Neither did American Dollars. I don't know why I had either of them since I live in Canada, but I digress. After wandering around for a while, going into an alleyway to freak out and talking, or at least trying to talk to, the peo-oh wait that's not right. I meant to say Ponies, even though they're humans. I finally decided to just wander around the city and think.

My first thought is that this was some sort of test, whatever God lives up there heard me think that my life was so great and said "Oh really?" and sent me to Equestria, but that thought was unlikely. After a couple more ideas I decided to give up on thinking about how and thinking about what next. I mean I didn't have any money, this universe is obviously different, and most of my plans are just downright bad.

I looked up to the castle still amazed at the beauty of it. The show never did it justice. I had thought about finding Celestia and asking her to take me back, but I didn't think that would end well. Realizing that I had been walking for about an hour now in random directions I looked around and saw that I was standing in what looked to be a shipping area. There was a few warehouses nearby, and most of the workers seemed to be regular workers. Except for two ponies.

They looked around suspiciously before taking what looked to be a few barrels. What they were filled with I had no idea but something took hold of my brain. I shook my head as something painful spread through my mind. Red pooled over my eyes and then darkness took hold of me.

Third Person

Two stallions pushed carts with barrels in them. The one on the left was a stallion wearing black clothing and had a dark grey mane that matched his equally black fur. He had dark green eyes and seemed nervous. The one on the right was wearing a bright red suit and had orange hair. His fur was also a red color. Although there was some dark red splotched on his suit. He had wings on his back, had dark magenta eyes, and walked with an air of confidence. The one on the left looked up. "Hey Trader?" He said.

Trader looked over at his partner, he expected this very question, "What is it Silent?"

"Do you think what we did w-was... right?" He looked up a guilty look on his face.

Trader thought about this. He needed to phrase it the right way or Silent might back out of the group. He admired him as a good worker and didn't want to kill him. "What we did," Trader began, "Was what we had to do. The bastard was asking for it when he tried to take down our business. "

Silent mulled over the words that Trader had said, specifically the word our. He had never had a friend, hard as it may seem to believe in this world. They walked further before arriving at their destination. It was the biggest but most hidden warehouse in the area. Trader walked up to the door and knocked out a rhythm. The door opened slightly, "Appointment?" A rusty voice said.

"We've brought it." Trader responded. The door slid open as a stallion wearing a black outfit appeared in front of them. He started laughing before he spoke, "Come on in, come on in." His voice boomed. Trader and Silent entered the warehouse. They looked around and saw that the warehouse was filled with other barrels. Ponies wearing dark outfits were unloading and loading the barrels from trucks. There were piles of bits on tables, with other ponies counting the money.

"In here." The large stallion said pointing to a door. Silent noticeably flinched and looked at the door. This was the bosses office. Not many ponies go to see the boss. Those that do, they don't leave the same if they leave at all. Silent and Trader entered, one uneasy the other was eager to meet the boss. They saw the boss staring out a window. The warehouse was on the edge of the city and gave a beautiful view of most of Equestria. " Do you know why I asked you to come to my office?" the boss spoke in a voice that sent chills down both of their spines.

"N-No sir," Trader responded. The boss turned around revealing three scars that showed indication of a claw mark. He had a white suit and his hand was lit up as though he was ready to shoot one of them. The boss looked at both of them before speaking again, "I called you hear because of the incident we had with the stallion the other night. Trader and Silent both flinched this time.

"S-Sir," Trader started, " I did-" Before he could finish a hole was blasted through his head. The boss waved the magic off his hand. "I thought it might have been you Trader." He spoke. The boss got up and walking over crouched down near him. He looked up at Silent before he continued, "We don't like weakness." The boss started as he began his speech.

Silent shook his head, tears forming in his eyes, he never wanted this. The boss was still speaking but he couldn't listen, Silent looked up to the window and saw something strange, a stallion was on the outside of the building. But there was something weird about him. The stallion did not have any hair, though this wasn't unheard of. He was holding an object that looked as if it could be as big as his arm. He raised it up shifted his hooves and started jumping. Silent realized what the object was going to do and he got behind a chair in the room.

The boss looked up at him he was about to speak before the world exploded with sound and light. As silent covered his ears in an attempt to get the ringing out of them he looked up and saw the stallion that was outside of the window beating up the boss. He was stomping on his face and shouting something. The stallion finally stopped and looked over at him. Silent tried to back up but he hit the wall and looked up at the stallion. The stallion stared at him before throwing him a bag. His ears finally stopped ringing. "-that money for something good. I didn't steal it for nothing. Don't try to find me. My name is G-I mean, my name is..." He put his hoof to his chin, "Call me T." he said. He walked out of the room.

Silent heard a few more sounds coming outside of the room before his mind registered something. He needed to leave. Silent knew a place to go to. He ran out of the room and ran to the exit. He saw T taking the bits that were on the table. The boss' beefy henchman lied beside him with a blood wound. Silent focused on running out of here and finding refuge. A few minutes later and he was in an alleyway. As Silent sat there,he thought about T, who had given him a new start. He sighed and looked at the bag again. Shaking his head he got up and started walking to find a hotel.

First Person

Fluffiness. That is what I felt. I was definitely in a bed. Maybe that whole affair had been a dream. I might not have gone to Equestria. Maybe I was home in bed. Yeah I could be home in bed with my memory intact. Maybe. I felt something shift beside me. I have company? Whoever was in my bed settled into my arms further.Well this feels nice. Wherever I was, if I was in my house or their house I didn't care.

My thoughts were blurred as I accepted whoever was hugging me. I felt myself sink into their fur. Wait a second. Fur. Fur. I was not home. I opened my eyes. It was dark but not too dark to see. Something seemed to be illuminating the room. I looked up and saw that stars seemed to be floating around the dark room. Reminding me of the night sky. I looked at who was holding me and nearly screamed. A mare with dark blue fur was holding me. She had a mane that seemed to hold the night sky in it. This was distressing beyond words. I was in bed, with Princess Luna, we both didn't have clothes on, and I have no memory of the night before.
One thought entered my mind. Well that's not right. A million thoughts entered my head. But one was the most predominant. What the hell happened last night?
