How my life changed when I became Vinyl Scratch

by Vinyl-ScratchDJ17

Big Boom!! :D

Walking is hard. Walking from one side of America, all the way to the other is harder. Walking from one side of America from one side to the other as a cartoon pony is even harder. There are so many harders I could come up right now, I could go on forever. Really, because ever since I woke up in the bathroom, finding out I had turned into Vinyl Scratch. Granted I totally wanted to go all fanboying at the time, but my reasonably over-dramatic-brain decided to tell me it was a bad thing. It is in a lot of ways, yet is also really cool in a lot of other ways, you know? turning into your favorite character from My Little Pony has got to be one of the coolest things to ever happen to me. Yeah my dad was a complete dick about it, but I'm past him now, and the thought of him doesn't really bother me.

When it comes to mom, I'm happy she'll stick with me even through something as crazy as your son turning into a famous cartoon pony. It is kind of strange though that my mother is Applejack now, but I don't see her any different than from when she was human, because I'm sure she thought the same of me. When you think about it, it's kind of a strange story to hear that a mother and son turn into ponies and make the trip from California, all the way to New York city on foot, or on hoof as it were. It's been a long, and rough trip, but, when we reached Oaklahoma, it's like, we're half way there already? Well we did drive for like two days straight, so I guess that gave us a good head start. If mom hadn't have turned into Applejack, We might have been there by now. Not that I blame her.

Right now we're a quad of quadrupeds, walking down a never ending, straight, lifeless road, and not a person, pony, building, and or car in sight. Pun not intended. Me, Mom, Brent, and Octi. Or Tavi. I don't know her real name, all though I wish I did. I tried searching the internet once to try and find out, but since she plays a background pony who really had little to do with the show, I knew it was gonna be hard, and eventually I gave up. We've been walking for hours now, and can slowly start to see changes in the environment which surrounds us. It has gone from dry desert, and scorching hot temperatures which gets worse with having a new body covered in fur, to more grassy, and cooler weather, with trees being more common. I know it's still a long lonely road, but it's a heck of a lot better than walking in the heat he way we had been, because I think it's about fifteen degrees cooler out here now.

Octi is walking right besides me, and Brent and mom walk ahead of us at the same pace which is kind of annoying because I have to look forward o walk, and all I can see are a couple of pony arses which is grossing me out. I notice Octi is looking at me, so I give her a little smile, but as soon as our eyes make contact, she averts her gave from me to the ground, as if she had something to say, or something is up with her. Well she did say that her family had disowned her after she had turned into Octavia. That must have been really hard on her. Becoming your own character from My Little Pony, and being scared of what your loving relatives will think or how they will feel, and when they find out, you hope for them to be supportive like always, only for them to push her away.

I can tell sort of how she must feel about the while situation and all, because you know how my father was the same way. I just hope she hadn't of gotten beaten or hurt by anybody, or anypony, like my dad did to me. Yeah I know I said I'm past him, but the general idea that he did it due to my species change into a pony, still lingers around my vast space of mind. But just simply taking a few punches, and kicks, is nothing compared to having your whole family throw you out of the door just like that. I'm surprised my mom never got a call about me being absent form school because it's been like two days now. Putting my train of thought back on Octavia, I decide to try to talk to her as an attempt to cheer her up. It's been a thought in my head that something other than her family is really bugging her as well, and I hope I can find some way to pull her out of the depression she's been thrown into.

"Something bothering you, Octi?" I ask, leaning my head a little in her direction, earning me a deep sigh from her.

"I don't know Vinyl, It's mostly just my family." She replies with a sniff, still refusing to even take a solitary glance at me. But who's to say I control what she looks at? XD

"I know how how you feel. Sort of anyway." I respond with a shrug.

"How so?" Octi asks, finally craning her head and neck to look me in the eye.

"My father. He was a really cool guy until this whole people-turning-into-ponies thing began, and when I changed, he was very abusive towards me. Luckily my mother still cares, cause if she didn't, she wouldn't be here right now."

"Ya'll got that right!" Mom shouts happily, back to me, giggling a little bit after.

"What's so funny ma?"

"Ah'm still gettin' used ta this here new voice, an' accent." She replies with more giggling.

"So you're done with getting used to a species transformation, but you're still getting used to the voice?" I ask, sounding confused how she got used to the bigger problem before the smaller one.

"Kinda, but it's sorta interestin bein a different species an' all. But, this voice, just isn't me." She states with a slight shake of her head.

"Well, at least you have a family member who cares." Octi says with another deep sigh. I' surprised through this whole conversation, Brent, the talkative one hasn't said a word yet.

"UGH! Why is it taking so long to get there? Can't we just teleport there?" Brent whines, throwing his head back, his rainbow mane bouncin a bit.

Wait...
Teleport?

Oh my Celestia, I forgot I can teleport! How can I forget that with being a unicorn? It's the easiest thing next to lifting stuff with magic. I stop dead in my tracks, and I begin beating my face, via face hoofing. I let out a grunt of frustration, trying to hold back a loud scream of anger, before it's let loose like a wild animal, shrieking through the air. Besides, I don't think that would sound right coming from me, having Vinyl's voice and all, and her voice just sounds horrible when screaming. I love her tomboyish voice, but when she yells it's like give me the flupping ear mufflers already!! Even though I had my magenta eyes closed, I can feel the others staring at me, looking at me as if I were a crazy pony. Screwball is the crazy pony. Not me. Not Vinyl.

I feel my head begin to tense up, as my life essence known as blood flows in. I wish I had fists right now so I could clench them to ease some of the stress, but that isn't the case. Suddenly, I feel a huge surge of power rush through my body, and into my horn, from where I hear what sounds like a static sound, and then a large boom. My eyes shoot open to make sure I didn't hit the others with some sort of a magical beam, which to my luck, I was right, but then I see this big...bright...purple orb rise into the sky with the sound of a rocket blasting off. I let out a loud gasp as I watch it soar high into the sky, and then, BOOOOOOOOSSSHHHHH!!!!!!!A bright yellow light erupts, and rings of smoke emerge from it, and they shoot out from the orb of yellow light, and I hear the wind begin to rush around me, as the sky is light up so bright, I have to close my eyes.

The sound waves push against me, causing me to almost fall over, and I have to use every muscle in my body to stay standing, and I hear several more little exploding sounds go off simultaneously. The rush of wind is so powerful, I feel like it's gonna rip my mane and tail clean off my head and flank. after a few more moments of fighting the sound waves, I don't have to struggle to stay standing any more. I slowly open my eyes, now battling the light to see what I may have just done. I lift a fore leg out in front of me to shield my eyes from the direct ray of light, and I see the sky has turned a bright orange, and the sound of the initial explosion echoes, piercing my ear drums, making them feel like they're gonna pop. The blue ball of light looks to be about as big as a modern three story house, and it looks as if the sun is right there in front of me, about a mile away, in in the sky, my ears ringing loudly.

As the light begins to die down, I notice any grass or as far as I can see, has been completely obliterated, and the road has been reduced to rubble, and a nearby mountain, leveled. All of this destruction, and how are we still standing? Maybe it doesn't affect ponies if I don't want it to? My heart rate has risen to a speed to where I can barely tell the individual beats apart. Again, how am I still standing? My breathing has gone from low and slow, to fast, n' loud. Again, pun not intended. I see the Octavia's, Brent's, and mo's faces, jaws dropped, and pupils the size of dimes. Brent exchanges looks from the sky, to me, to the sky again. Mom stares at me, and Octi stares at the sky. I slowly take a step back as my legs have become wobbly, and my breathing rapidly decreases, as I suddenly feel very light headed, I make a final exhale, and I tumble to my left side, unconscious.

12 hours later...

I let out a soft groan, as I try to open my eyes, and muffled voices are all I hear through ringing ears.

"Seth!" I hear one voice shout.

"Setth!" Another yells, with what sounds like a british accent.

"Wake up!!" I hear the first voice say coming closer.

Just five more minutes? Please? I'm trying to sleep, and this bed is so comfy! Wait...bed...? I don't remember being in a bed. Where is Equestria am I? Why did I say Equestria? Oh duh, I have the mind of an Equestrian! I mentally face hoof myself since I feel very weak as it is. Back to opening my eyes, I can make out a white figure, close to my right, and another figure, but this one is a little farther away, and is like a dark blue. The blurriness is so bad, I can't see a thing. I raise my hooves up to my eyes, and I rub them to help make my vision clearer. Bow the white figure, I can make out purple eyes, a...horn,...and wings, and a blue, green, and pink flowing mane, and tail. The other one, a dark blue fur coat, blue eyes, and a blue flowing mane and tail, with a transparent edge, also a horn and wings. They are none other than Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna, and that means I'm in Equestria!!

"H-how am I...here?" I ask, my voice low and soft from just waking up from I don't know what.

"You are technically not here. You are still down on earth unconscious." Celestia replies, stepping back to a reasonable distance.

"H-how is that even...possible?" I have no clue what's going on right now. I can't remember a thing except for the fact that I, mom, Brent, and Octavia were heading to New York. Other than that, I don't remember a thing.

"This to you may seem like nothing more than a simple vision, but we must let you know, this is very real." Luna speaks up, taking a step forward. "We brought the consciousness of your sleep here, so it might look as if you are dreaming, or like I said, are having a vision." Luna continues.

"So...I'm like in a coma or something?" I ask, slowly regaining my energy.

"For the time being." Celestia agrees with a nod. "But, let it be rest assured that you return to your own consciousness safely when we finish. But, in the mean time, we need your help." Celestia says softly, slightly bowing...for what reason?

"Why me? And why did you just bow to me?" I ask, sounding very confused, as if I'm not already.

"I ask you for your help, because I have been monitoring your world here and there, and at some point I felt a huge source of power. Like nothing I've ever felt before. Coming from a regular unicorn that is. I had asked Luna to tell me who gave off this large amount of power, and she informed me it had been you. She also told me the destruction you had left behind, without hurting the other ponies who had been with you. My hope is that you can learn to use that power wisely, so we may use it against Discord, who we as of right now have no power over." She sighs sadly after saying this. "I can't even protect my subjects now. It's like..." Celestia says without finishing.

"Like what, Tia?" Luna asks, stepping over to her bigger sister.

"Oh, it's nothing Luna. E-everything will be fine. I-I'm sure of it." Celestia replies, stuttering out of nervousness, while nuzzling luna's cheek, trying to cover it up.

While they decide to chat, I try to get a look around the room I'm in. I'm in a bed, that's been pointed out already. There are two plants on either side of the bed, with a window behind each one. The bed sits atop a white rug with velvet red hearts lining the perimeter, over a tiled floor with two different hues of purple. The walls are like a salmon pink, with white base boards, and there are brown wooden support beams going across the ceiling. On the opposite side of the room from me is an arched door which comes to a point at the top, almost reaching the ceiling, with two plants on either side of it just like the bed. On the right side wall is a doorless door frame which looks like it leads into a private bathroom, and on the left side of the room, there are bookshelves lining the wall. There are also a few tapestries hanging from the ceiling of other ponies like the princesses, Shining Armor, and Twilight Sparkle. In the center ceiling of the room is a golden chandelier, with six candles, and golden chains holding it up.

"So are you guys planning on sending me back anytime soon? I bet my mother is very worried about me right now." I say, interrupting Luna's and Celestia's conversation which has nothing to do with the real problem we have on our hooves.

"Oh...ahem! Yes. Sorry." Celestia replies, clearing her throat to talk more properly.

"We apologize deeply for keeping you Seth." Luna says with a slight smile. I get up form the bed, and I walk over to them.

"So how are we going to do this?" I ask, cocking my head to one direction.

"Since you are nothing more than just a visible entity, capable of so little as we speak, I shall have to send you back myself." Celestia replies, closing her eyes, and her face showing no emotion of any kind. Usual Celestia to be a poker face.

"Ooh! I can I do it this time Tia? You always do it!" Luna pouts, with puppydog eyes.

"I suppose so, but be very careful. We don't want to send him out into vast space being defenseless, and end up on the wrong planet, or being stuck forever in the wide vastness of the starry space." Celestia warns Luna. Wait. Wrong planet? Stuck in space? Defenseless? Oh shit. My life is on the line now for a princess to return me home with no experience to this at all.

"Yes!! We thank thou very kindly, Tia!" Luna squeals with excitement, hopping a little bit into the air, before turning to face me, with a confident look on her face. She bites her tongue, as her horn begins to glow, and I become surrounded with the same blue entity, and with a white flash, I'm gone, and traveling through the wide openness of the universe.

Back into reality...

My head hurts.

Really badly.

Throbbing. Splitting. Headache.

I sit up in what I feel is another bed. How did I get into this bed now? Well it doesn't matter. I've been outside too much anyway. I grunt as I sit up, rubbing my temples with my hooves until...

"Vinyl!!" I hear a voice exclaim through ringing ears. Lots of ringing, then the feeling of being tightly hugged. I open my eyes to see Octavia hugging me. Why though? Has she somehow developed feelings within the short one and a half days we've known each other? That would be very rushed, and weird. And above all, creepy, but I hug er back anyway. "You're okay..." Octi says softly, nuzzling the back of my neck.

"Yeah...could you keep it down? I have one massive headache." I reply, pulling away from her.

"Oh...hehe. Sorry." She says with a shrug.

"Where are we? And where's mom?"

"We're home you silly filly, and what do you mean where's mom?" Octavia replies smugly, with a small chuckle afterwords.

This is strange. She called me a silly filly as the first thing. Secondly, she said we're home, and lastly, she doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about. I decide to take a closer look at my surroundings. I'm in a bed, laying under the bed sheets with Octavia, the room we're in is small, and has light brown painted walls. There's a small end table next to my side of the bed since the other side is against a wall, and atop the end table is a small lamp. I know where I am now. I'm at Vinyl's, and Octi's place. I'm still in Equestria!! I mentally roll my eyes. Then I hear a voice, and the clop clop of hooves approaching the room.

"Octi, who are you talking to?" The voice asks, getting closer, and closer,

I hear the voice as Vinyls voice, well obviously. Vinyl steps onto the door way, and her reaction when she sees me is just priceless. Her eyes shrink, and her jaw drops a little. I look at Octavia who is wearing a face showing that she is scared shitless. She scrambles out of the covers, and cowers her self into the corner of the room, farthest from me and Vinyl. Her breathing escalated, and her chest rising and falling with each breath. After a few more seconds, Octavia faints, and I as well crawl out of the bed. Vinyl takes in a deep breath, and lets out out a long sigh, then turns her head to look at me, then she too faints. Thank you Princess Luna. Face hoof.
