Chapter 16: The Sirens

Leaving the park behind, Cory lead the others to Canterlot High, where they would meet Twilight and friends. After a few minutes of walking, they had arrived at their destination, "Wow, this is impressive," Nyx commented.

"That was my first impression when I got here," Toby said, as they walked into the massive building, unaware of a van pulling to the curb, with a lookalike of Twilight.

"Why is it I have strange feeling about that school?" the human Twilight asked, before shrugging it off, and driving away.

Walking towards where the gym was, all the children, save for Cory, Toby, and Crystal, were amazed at the amazing building structure, "Wow, this school's impressive," Raiden commented.

"That's what I thought too," Toby said. After some walking, they arrived at the gym, where the students looked at each other with growing suspicion, "Huh, it wasn't like this the last time I was here," he deadpanned.

"CORY! OVER HERE!" the children turned to see Twilight and friends standing away from the other students.

"Hey Mom, did you get info on the sirens?" Cory asked.

"Yeah, from what the girls described of them, we should find them if we look around," Twilight said, before bumping into a human boy, who looks to be around the age of Rainbow Dash, and the rest.

"Twilight?" the boy asked.

"Eh, bumped, into, always, doing?" Twilight meekly replied.

"What are you doing here? You came back for the big competition, right?" the boy asked.

"Something like that," Twilight replied.

"Huh. Not that there's gonna be any real competition. No one here wants this as bad as my band does!" The boy said, as a commotion was coming from the other side of the room.

"Can you excuse me for just a minute?" Twilight said, as she and her group went to see what was causing the ruckus.

On the other side of the room, three mysterious teenage girls were looking around at the conflict, "Oh, no! No one is mingling! Its like there's some kind of underlying tension that could bubble to the surface any minute!" the teenage girl with big puffy orange and yellow hair said in mock surprise.

"Is it the fruit punch? I knew I added too much grape juice!" the blue girl from the park said, holding up a bottle.

"Its not the fruit punch! Its us!" the puffy haired one said, face palming.

"But the punch is awful, too," the other purple girl said,

"What do you know about good fruit punch?" the blue girl asked.

"More than you!" the purple girl snapped back.

"Do not!"

"Do too!"

"This is just the kickoff party, girls. Imagine what a tizzy they'll be in by the time the Battle of the Bands starts," the puffy haired girl said wickedly.

"There isn't going to be a Battle of the Bands! We're gonna make sure of that! Alright, girls, let's do this!" Twilight said, as the six friends joined hands, "Friendship is magic! " she yelled. But nothing happened, as an awkward silence filled the room.

"Uh, should there be like some sort of rainbow beam thing blasting at those girls?" Silver whispered to Sunset.

"Well, that's how they defeated and reformed me," she said with a shrug.

"I don't understand. We're all together. Why isn't it working?" Twilight asked.

"Hmm, perhaps it won't work the same was as it did last time. Maybe it requires a different approach?" Raiden asked.

"And just who might you be?" the purple girl demanded.

"'Who are we?' Well, we're the STRAWBERRY MILK CHUGGERS CLUB!" Brian said, as he and his brother and Heaven appeared with identical t-shirts of a person drinking strawberry milk.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT?!" everyone in the room, including the sirens, asked, with shocked looks on their faces.

"Here's your t-shirts!" Silver said, giving Twilight and friends t-shirts.

"There is no way we're drinking strawberry milk," Rarity said, as she and her friends, save for Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, (who took the shirts with gratitude), took the shirts and threw them away, much to Silvers dismay.

"Ok, you, uh.... really need to go ahead and do that whole 'magic of friendship' thing now," Spike said.

"I'm trying Spike! But as Raiden said, this time may need a different approach," Twilight said, as her group exited the auditorium, before Raiden gave a curious look at the sirens.

'Something doesn't seem right with those three. I just wonder what it is?' he thought to himself, as he ran to join his friends.

"Well, that was... interesting," the purple girl commented.

"Tell me about it Aria, but talk about throwing down the gauntlet! This group is obviously serious about winning! A little cocky though, aren't they? Claiming there won't really be a battle. Seems they think they already got this thing all locked up," the puffy haired girl said.

"Not if the Great and Powerful Trrrrrixie has anything to do with it!" another blue girl but with a mix of blue and white hair said boastfully.

"Whatever, Trixie! We're the best band in school!" the boy from before said.

"No! The Crusaders are gonna win!" a girl that looked like Applebloom argued, as everyone started arguing with one another.

" I think we may have found what we're looking for. Or rather, it found us," the puffy haired girl said sinisterly, as the purple girl slapped herself, "Magic!! Don't you see?! Everyone else has fallen under our spell. But not these girls. These girls are special. But as for those boys, the ones with that kid with the straw hat and the robot, they could be trouble," she said, as she looked at the doors Twilight's group left through.
