Twilight hummed to herself as she walked from her tree-library home towards Fluttershy’s cottage. The day was still quiet young despite Celestia’s sun being near the peak of its climb. The skies were clear and birds sang their lovely songs in the trees. It was a lovely Saturday in Ponyville, and it was a perfect day for tea.
It had almost become a ritual for the town’s librarian, ever since Fluttershy saved her from being turned to stone. Though Twilight Sparkle wasn’t bitter about it at all, she enjoyed time with Fluttershy as she did with all her friends. And it seemed now more so than usual. With the recent events surrounding the failed Changeling invasion, a welcome weekend was exactly what this purple fur, humanoid unicorn needed. Plus, she needed something to keep her mind off as she had a bit of an itch in her horn.
So as she made her way over the small bridge and up the cobblestone lane that lead to Fluttershy’s cottage, she hummed a gentle tune to herself. Her white t-shirt and blue jeans fit her snuggly as she walked, and she was almost glad she opted for sandals rather than sneakers.
But when she got too Fluttershy’s door, the usual smell of tea brewing was absent. Usually this wasn’t a warning sign to Twilight Sparkle, as Fluttershy had been late before. However, this time there wasn’t the usual smell of Sugarcube Corner pastries.
Twilight stopped just before opening Fluttershy’s front door. This meant the town’s Vet as either embroiled in helping a poor animal, or out. So Twilight checked the windows to see if Fluttershy was home. While she didn’t see anything initially, she certainly did hear something.
“Okay,” a soft voice said from inside the cottage, “Two towels: check. Lock for the locker: Check. And a change of clothing, just to be safe: check. Well that looks like I got everything, but why do I feel like I’m missing something Angel?”
“What is she packing for?” Twilight asked. Then, realizing that Fluttershy was in the living room kneeling before a rucksack, Twilight knocked on the window.
Angel Bunny, as if to point out the blatantly obvious, pointed towards the very window Twilight was leaning into. It took a moment for Fluttershy to stand up, turn around, and realize that Twilight was actually there.
“OH! Twilight, oh…..oh my I’m so sorry I completely forgot about our tea time.” Fluttershy said scampering over to the door and opening it for her friend. Fluttershy was wearing a nice yellow sundress that went down to her knees.
“That’s okay Fluttershy, I just got here anyway.” Twilight soothed giving Fluttershy a warm hug.
The veterinarian sighed, “No I completely forgot, I was just so busy preparing for my thing tonight I forgot about our tea time. Hang tight; I’ll go get tea started.”
Twilight nodded, “Same spot as usual?”
Fluttershy stopped mid-step, “Shoot, I forgot to clean it.”
Twilight laughed, “Don’t worry Fluttershy, I’ll do it.”
About an hour later, Twilight had wiped the table and chairs in Fluttershy’s backyard down just as the yellow fur human pegasi came out with the tea kettle and two tea cups. Pretty soon the two friends were enjoying a good cup of tea.
“So how are the newlyweds?” Fluttershy asked.
Twilight smiled, “Happy for the most part. Shinning is still a little paranoid, but Cadence has reassured me that he’s managing. Plus they’re having a wonderful time Gidawii so I can’t really complain.”
“Oh that’s good to hear, I’m really happy for them Twilight.” Fluttershy smiled back just before taking a sip of her tea.
“Speaking of traveling, you never told me where you’re going tonight.” Twilight ask.
Fluttershy coughed in the middle of a sip. If it wasn’t for a good gasp of air and an even better cough, she would’ve choked. Then her cheeks went bright red, “Oh well nothing special.”
“Well it has to be special enough for you to completely forget about Saturday tea time.” Twilight laughed, “Now what’s up.”
Fluttershy sighed, there really was no harm in telling her friend something’s about tonight. “Well I’m going to Stableville,” Fluttershy started.
“Ponyville’s sister town?” Twilight interrupted.
Fluttershy nodded, “I’m going to a monthly meeting of this club I belong to.”
“Oh cool, what’s the club’s name?” Twilight asked.
“The Soft Sun’s club,” Fluttershy answered, pride starting to enter her voice, “Every month we hold a pool party. It’s nothing more than a get together we do in the town’s sport’s complex.”
“Sounds like something Pinkie Pie would like,” Twilight smiled, “Rarity too.”
Fluttershy grimaced, “Well…”
“What do you guys do there?” Twilight asked, now genuinely intrigued.
Fluttershy paused for a moment. She didn’t expect Twilight to be this intrigued about the Soft Sun’s, let alone about the party tonight. But she had already opened her big flap; she might as well go a little further. Besides, it wasn’t like she was actually inviting Twilight, she was just telling her about it.
“It’s a pool party Twilight, we float around in the pool or in the Jacuzzi if we’re not enjoying time eating dinner or dancing. Occasionally we use the sauna or play indoor volleyball. But it’s not really as loud as Pinkie’s parties generally get.” Fluttershy explained.
“Must be kinda dull then eh?” Twilight quizzed after taking another sip of tea.
“Oh not at all, the members of the club are extremely friendly and easy to get to know. Plus you gain your own level of enjoyment by just relaxing if you can.” Fluttershy said.
Twilight mulled over it for a moment, “Do you have to be a member to go to the party?”
Fluttershy shook her head no, “Not really, if you make a habit of going they do ask for a membership card but you’re not obligated to take it. Plus, you have to pay to get in regardless of if you’re a member or not.”
“Members get discounts I assume?” Twilight asked. When Fluttershy nodded a yes, Twilight asked, “So how much would I have to pay if I was going?”
“First time goers, especially in your age of 22, would pay I believe 15 bits.” Fluttershy answered.
“Oh that’s not too bad.” Twilight answered, now seriously judging on whether or not she should go.
Fluttershy was also a little off put that Twilight was actually considering going with her. Considering she had left out a pretty important detail about the party. That being said, telling Twilight about this detail was a little embarrassing for Fluttershy. More-so considering she hadn’t told anyone in Ponyville except for one person about her Soft Sun’s club membership. Now the prospect of Twilight coming along was a little off putting. Despite that, part of her was actually glad that someone was actually going to go with her this time; she had gotten a little upset at going alone so often.
Twilight meanwhile was actually warming up to the idea of actually doing something other than managing the library for another Saturday night. Plus at a fifteen bit discount, the offer was too willing to pass up.
“Fluttershy I hate to impose, but can I come along?” Twilight asked.
Fluttershy leaned back for a moment, debating. Then the part of her that wanted Twilight to go along won out, “Well…..sure why not.”
“Awesome!” Twilight said, “When are we leaving?”
“My train leaves in about four hours, the party doesn’t start until eight.” Fluttershy sighed, leaning her head down. It was then she wanted to tell Twilight the truth. But she didn’t know how to phrase it.
Lucky, she didn’t have to worry about diving in. Twilight did that for her, “You know I’ve haven’t been to a pool party in years. What should I pack?”
Fluttershy straightened up, “Well two towels, a lock for your locker, and a spare pair of clothing incase yours gets damaged, oh and a bag to put them all in for traveling.”
“Great.” Twilight said.
Then just as she was taking a sip of her tea, Twilight noticed something off. Fluttershy had forgotten to mention about bringing a bathing suit. Normally Twilight would just assume that Fluttershy knew she would already bring one, but considering that Fluttershy’s mind was a bit flighty at times she had to be sure. Plus, when Twilight first arrived, Fluttershy was going over a checklist over what she should bring, and a bathing suit was not mentioned.
Then again, she might’ve missed hearing that, but it never hurt to ask. “Fluttershy,” Twilight asked after sipping her tea, “What about a bathing suit?”
“Well you can bring one…” Fluttershy started, her voice low, “…if you want.”
At first Twilight wanted to laugh, apparently Fluttershy was playing a joke with her. But taking a look at the Pegasus’s face told her otherwise. “What do you mean?” Twilight asked.
“You don’t have to bring a bathing suit,” Fluttershy answered.
Her heart started to pound as her nerves got the better of her. This was the party of the party Fluttershy had been neglectful to mention.
“Fluttershy, what are you not telling me?” Twilight asked.
Fluttershy squeaked for a moment, too embarrassed to tell Twilight about her leisure. But the conversation had gotten to this point, and knowing Twilight she wouldn’t rest until she found out. So she decided to be out with it and see where Twilight Sparkle took it.
“Well….the Soft Sun’s group is a naturist group.” Fluttershy said, “And the party tonight is our monthly nudist pool party.”
Twilight sat there dumbfounded for a moment. She was so stunned her tea mug almost fell out of her hands. She couldn’t believe what Fluttershy had just told her. She couldn’t believe that Fluttershy had just said those words. Let alone that Fluttershy was a…nudist. While Twilight had nothing against nudism or nudity as a whole, the fact that people centered a lifestyle around it to the point of gathering in places was alien to her.
But what struck her more was that the shiest, most invisible, and biggest introvert in all of Ponyville was a nudist. It just didn’t fit. It just couldn’t be possible. As she told her future-self (and intern had her past-self tell her) that was scientifically impossible. And then it hit her, she had just agreed to join Fluttershy to go to this party.
“You mean it’s a club filled with people, who go around their daily lives….without clothes?” Twilight asked, still dumbfounded.
“Well not all of their daily lives!” Fluttershy replied, “Just when their at home, or when they’re at nudist clubs or beaches. I mean some want to go around nude twenty four seven, but most know Equestrian weather doesn’t exactly make that feasible.”
Twilight had to agree with that one, considering Equestrian winters. “But still, I mean really?” Twilight said.
“Is there something wrong with that?” Fluttershy asked, almost hurt.
“No, not at all,” Twilight answered honestly, “It’s just weird….”
Fluttershy sighed. She had to give that to Twilight. However, she was surprised at how well Twilight was taking this. Fluttershy had feared that Twilight would do something crazy like start yelling or something. It hadn’t been outside the realm of possibilities, considering Twilight’s antics. But still, this was everything Fluttershy had hoped for.
“And so, all those things you said you do at the party, you do…?” Twilight asked.
Fluttershy nodded, “Nude.”
“Huh,” Twilight said, “I guess I have to ask, what’s it like?”
Fluttershy pondered for a moment. “Well, it’s very relaxing once you’re used to it. You forget about material things, and furthermore you meet people in their real state. No one judges you based on clothing. And we nudists adhere to a strict code: No sexual antics. And plus, if you don’t want to go nude we won’t push you.”
“That’s good, I guess.” Twilight said.
Fluttershy perked up, “But honestly Twilight, it’s something you would have to experience for yourself.”
Twilight nodded. She really couldn’t argue with that logic. Her good sense was telling her to give back her invitation to go to the pool party. Being nude in public was just so foreign to her, let alone so revealing. Despite the fact that Fluttershy told her she didn’t have to be nude, it still was going to be a weird trip. However, her good sense was squashed by her inquisitive nature. And Fluttershy was right; this was an experience she was going to have to see for herself.
And that part of her won out, “What time is the party?”
Fluttershy beamed, “Eight o’clock tonight, but our train leaves at six. Don’t worry Twilight I’ll be with you all the way.”
Twilight nodded meekly, “Well until then, let’s get back to tea.”
“Oh right, let’s.” Fluttershy smiled before pouring herself and Twilight another cup of tea.
About four hours later, Fluttershy was still in her yellow sun dress as she waited for both Twilight and the train. Twilight had been running late, but Fluttershy didn’t mind. At least Fluttershy knew Twilight would never bail on her. Sure enough Twilight showed up, dressed in short skirt and tank top with sneakers and carrying a backpack. Unfortunately, she had run all the way from Golden Oaks to the Ponyville Train station. That meant she was out of breath when she arrived.
“Sorry…..I’m….Late…had….a….hard….time….” Twilight panted.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa there Twilight it’s okay. We’ve got another ten minutes before the train comes.” Fluttershy soothed.
Twilight nodded and caught her breath, “I’m sorry Fluttershy I thought I was late again. I just couldn’t decide what to bring, well besides the stuff you told me to.”
Fluttershy giggled, “Did you at least bring bits?”
Twilight shook her backpack to jingle the bits in response. This drew laughter from both of the friends.
“Spike will be okay by his lonesome?” Fluttershy asked.
“I left him with a few strict rules but yea he’ll be fine.” Twilight nodded.
“Oh, okay, I just get so nervous when you leave him alone in the Library.” Fluttershy answered.
Twilight laughed, “I would almost say the same thing about Angel.”
Fluttershy giggled, “No he knows better, but yes I do get nervous about him too.”
Twilight nodded, “So ten minute wait huh? Guess I shouldn’t have worried about rushing.”
“You really didn’t need to Twilight; I only just got here myself.” Fluttershy lied.
In actuality she had been standing on the station for about Twenty minutes, but not telling Twilight that made her feel at ease. Especially considering Twilight looked a little off put.
“To be honest, I’m actually surprised you showed up at all.” Fluttershy said. But when Twilight gave her an odd look she quickly recanted, “Oh no, no, no, I didn’t think you bail on me. I know you’re a better person than that Twilight. It’s just considering you’ve never even been to a pool party let alone a nudist pool party…”
“Well you are right it does feel a little bit weird. And I’m sure I’m gonna be completely embarrassed by the time we get there.” Twilight agreed.
“Well, like I was told when I first started, if it gets too embarrassing for you or you get too uncomfortable, we’ll leave.” Fluttershy soothed.
Twilight sighed, “Thanks Fluttershy.”
“You’re welcome Twilight.” Fluttershy smiled.
There was a momentary pause. Then Twilight decided to continue the conversation, “When did you start?”
“Beg pardon?” Fluttershy asked.
“When did you start being a….naturist is I think the proper term?” Twilight asked.
“Nudist is fine,” Fluttershy answered, “And well, my parents started taking me when I was a young girl actually. They belonged to the Soft Sun’s Naturist resort out near Whitetail forest. But I was never one for camping, so when I started living on my own I continued attending their pool parties and occasional trips to their nude beaches.”
“And it never gets embarrassing for you.” Twilight asked.
“I’ll admit I do have my shy moments, especially after I first became famous for being an Element barer. And I will admit that when I first started attending these parties I went in a swimsuit. But after a while I grew accustomed and actually began to enjoy it. Like I said back at tea Twilight it’s very relaxing lounging about in the nude. Plus getting away from Ponyville every now and then, without anyone else knowing, is a welcome relief. Not that I don’t like you guys…” Fluttershy stammered.
“It’s okay Fluttershy I have those moments too. Those times when you just need to get away from it all, friends included.” Twilight said, “Guess I do have to say sorry for asking to come along then.”
“No it’s okay; I was also going to say it has been getting dull not having someone to go with anymore.” Fluttershy said.
“Anymore,” Twilight asked, “You had someone to go with before?”
Fluttershy nodded, “An old friend who used to live here before she moved to Canterlot.”
“Who is it?” Twilight asked.
Then, seemingly out of character, Fluttershy smirked, “You know, I’ll save that answer until we get there. You wouldn’t believe me otherwise.”
“Oh come on really?” Twilight begged.
“Yup,” Fluttershy answered with a chuckle.
Twilight folded her arms, “You’re no fun Fluttershy.”
“Oh don’t be like that I’m loads of fun.” Fluttershy snickered.
Twilight giggled herself for a little bit before silence again fell between the two. Thankfully, the silence wasn’t too long as the train soon arrived. When they boarded, Fluttershy lead Twilight to a seat just before the train got underway again. The two girls instantly got comfortable as the train picked up speed.
Though, Fluttershy did notice that Twilight was breathing a little heavy. “Nervous,” she asked.
“A little bit.” Twilight answered sheepishly.
“It’s perfectly natural, I was the same way when I first started going to this party.” Fluttershy soothed, tapping Twilight’s hand.
Twilight smiled, “So the place we’re going to, what is it?”
“World Gym, it’s just a local gym for Stableville.” Fluttershy answered.
“Ever go there when there isn’t a…?” Twilight started before realizing she was in public and omitted the nudist part of that question.
Fluttershy softly giggled, “Once, with Rarity. She won two free passes to the gym in a local radio contest. It was an okay day, though Rarity was a little off put at how I knew where everything was without telling her the whole truth.”
Twilight laughed, “Oh I’m sure that was a wonderful mystery for Rarity.”
The two softly giggled to themselves as the train rattled along towards Stableville.
They soon arrived about fifteen minutes later. After waving goodbye to the train, the duo walked down the station steps and towards Park Avenue. Celestia’s sun was setting in the twilight sky and Luna was slowly brining up her moon. The wind was gentle and warm to the two friends as they walked along. Twilight felt herself relax a bit as the two reached the Gym center. It was a bland looking building with very few windows, the only exception to that was a sun room that held a row of treadmills and other running simulators. However right behind them were sheets of plastic that obscured the interior.
“Alright, here we are,” Fluttershy said softly, “Entrance is in the back.”
“I’m sure it is,” Twilight sighed, “Alright let’s go.”
Fluttershy admired Twilight’s bravery, but truth be told Twilight was nervous as ever. However Twilight’s fears were alleviated a bit when they walked in. The Front lobby wasn’t visible from the outside as plastic dividers covered the interior. On the plastic dividers was a sign reading “Private Party.” When the duo walked in, Twilight was stunned to see so little people there.
There was a small line to sign up of course, but other than that no one else was there. Furthermore, everyone was still dressed.
“Fluttershy,” Twilight asked as they got on the line, “I thought there’d be more people.”
“Oh don’t worry Twilight, we just got here early.” Fluttershy answered, “It’s still only seven fifteen.”
“Really, then why are we here forty five minutes early?” Twilight asked.
“Well um…I just thought it would help you ease in better.” Fluttershy sighed, “I’m sorry.”
Twilight had to concede her point. While she was expecting a lot of people here and had braced for that, the fact that there were a little amount of people made things a lot easier for Twilight. She scratched her horn for a shot bit before asking.
“You okay you’ve been scratching that most of the day.” Fluttershy asked.
“Oh yea it’s fine, I just tried out a new spell and itchy horn is one of its side-effects.” Twilight grimaced.
“Oh, okay.” Fluttershy sighed.
Twilight gave a goofy smile as they walked up to the counter. A short, chubby, tan haired cow-lady was standing behind the desk with a warm smile on her face.
“Well Moo-hoo if it isn’t Fluttershy, welcome back dearie.” She smiled.
“Hello there Cantina,” Fluttershy smiled, “I’d like to buy two entrance tickets.”
“Two,” Cantina smiled, “Oh I see you finally brought another friend! Welcome to the Soft Suns Miss…”
“Twilight Sparkle mam,” Twilight introduced.
Cantina nodded, “Ah I heard so much about you. So I take it this is your first time here?”
Twilight nodded with a bit of a blush.
“Well let me get through the rules of this party. This is of course a nude pool party though you are allowed to keep your clothes on if you feel unconformable. We value safety and security here so running is not allowed anywhere. Always have a towel with you to sit on and to dry yourself off when you get out of the pool. But of above all else, please do not act in any obscene measure; nudity is about being nude and not about sex. Also if anyone is making you feel uncomfortable, report them immediately. If you get reported once, you get a warning but if you get reported a second time we’ll have to ask you to leave. If you adhere to all that then you’ll have moo fun.” She smiled.
Twilight nodded to the rules, “Okay Miss Cantina,”
“Now have fun tonight moo dearie,” she said giving Twilight a ticket.
Twilight nodded and then Fluttershy lead her around. Fluttershy first took her into the lobby of the gym. It was a normal lobby that connected three rooms. In front of Twilight was a small bar with seating and tables for people to sit and eat. Almost immediately to her right was an entrance to the women’s locker room. As they walked closer they passed a hall way that lead to what looked like a dance floor and entrances to the indoor volleyball court.
Once they reached the food area, Fluttershy pointed to a translucent door that led to the pool. Twilight walked over to the door and peaked in. she saw a large pool that went from three feet deep to five feet deep. Close to the door was a small Jacuzzi that was already hot and bubbling. The room was painted all different shades of blue, extremely light blue walls, blue tiles under the pool, and a greyish blue for the concrete around the pool. It was slightly impressive to Twilight, even more so that it was in an enclosed area. After Fluttershy nodded at Twilight’s find, she escorted Twilight to the dance floor, which was next to the indoor volley ball courts.
“Okay well, that’s the entire tour,” Fluttershy said meekly, “Guess it’s time to get ready.”
That’s when Twilight’s heart started to beat and her cheeks blushed, “Oh, okay….well then….let’s go.”
Fluttershy nodded, “Follow me then.”
Twilight nodded and the duo headed into the women’s locker room. The lockers were body length and covered in a smooth grey carpet. And while they didn’t have a lock on them, both Fluttershy and Twilight had locks. Fluttershy and Twilight headed over to the lockers far from the entrance, deciding on Lockers 21 and 22. Fluttershy opened her locker first and began placing her bag inside.
Twilight opened up locker 22 and pushed her bag inside. Her nerves did begin to fray on her, so she decided to take it slow. The first thing off were the shoes, which she then neatly placed inside the locker. Then she emptied her pockets, despite only carrying her cell phone, and put that in the locker. She was about to unbutton her skirt when she glanced over at Fluttershy, who was further along than she was, and silently gasped.
Fluttershy’s boobs were huge! Of course Twilight had always known she was the third smallest of the six, just edging out Rarity’s B cups and Rainbow Dash’s A cups. But she had always thought Pinkie Pie was the largest, that opinion went out the window with this sight. Twilight wasn’t gay at all, but to be honest Fluttershy’s developments weren’t hard to miss. So she quickly got over the second revelation she found out about Fluttershy and returned to undressing.
Ironically, glancing at Fluttershy helped Twilight along. Fluttershy only had a soft sundress and underwear, so removing it wasn’t going to take too long. Knowing that her friend was already naked helped in easing Twilights nerves slightly. Still she had some trepidation. And that wasn’t lost on Fluttershy.
“Are you okay Twilight?” she asked.
Twilight nodded meekly, “Just getting over nerves that’s all.”
“You don’t have to be nude if you don’t want to Twilight,” Fluttershy soothed.
Twilight nodded but steeled herself, “You said it yourself Fluttershy, I can’t really understand until I fully experience it. And not for nothing, but I’d kill myself if I missed up a chance for some anthropometric study.” She smiled, it wasn’t a total lie after all, but it was good enough for her to feel more confident.
Fluttershy giggled, “Never miss a chance for a study eh Twilight.”
Twilight giggled as she unbuttoned her skirt and pulled it off. Then she slowly took off her top leaving just her underwear. Now was the biggest hurdle. Twilight readied her nerves, and in two quick moments she was as nude as the day she was born. Almost instantly she felt a gentle chill across her exposed parts that made her shiver. It ended quickly, so Twilight chalked it up to her body getting used to the new sensations. Taking two deep and long breaths, Twilight felt herself calm a moment.
“You look good Twilight,” Fluttershy said softly, closing and locking her locker.
Then Twilight remembered where she was and looked at Fluttershy with a blush, “Thanks so do you, now where to first?”
Fluttershy turned around, “Wanna dip in the pool first?”
Twilight smiled, “That’d be great, let’s go.”
Fluttershy nodded, “Oh don’t forget your towel.”
Twilight agreed, picked up her purple pool towel from her bag, closed the locker, and then had to reopen it to pull out the lock before closing and locking the locker. Fluttershy, a soft green towel in hand, lead Twilight out of the empty locker room. They turned right at the first opportunity and headed through a short hallway into the pool room. Once they entered, Twilight really began to feel shy. There were already a few people in the Jacuzzi soaking away, and one was in the pool already. She held the towel close to her body.
But a warm hand from Fluttershy reaffirmed her commitment. So she took several deep breaths and lowered her towel. To her amazement, no one commented or said anything. It was then she realized that she was now like everyone else and that calmed her down a lot. They found a rack to hang their towels on and then headed into the pool. Both Fluttershy and Twilight eased their way into the pool, slowly allowing their bodies to get used to the water temperature. Soon enough they were wading through the water waist deep.
Taking a few steps, Twilight felt comfortable enough to submerge her entire body into the water. The sensation she felt as she swam through the water was stunning. She had been a good swimmer in her youth, and was very used to swimming normally, but this was different. There was almost no resistance against her fur as she swam, and the feeling over her private parts was almost enjoyable. She now knew what it was like to swim naked, and it was good.
Popping her head above the surface, Twilight found Fluttershy swimming right next to her. “You know what Fluttershy, you’re right this is fun.” Twilight said almost gleefully.
“I’m glad you’re enjoying it.” Fluttershy said.
Twilight laughed, “Well now, race to the other side?”
After a good twenty minutes of lapping each in the pool mixed in with a few minutes of floating around, Twilight and Fluttershy swam towards the stairs. By now more had shown up, all of them nude, and the pool party had officially begun. Twilight had greeted a few people who knew Fluttershy, and to her surprise she had been very open with them.
“You know,” Twilight said as they reached the stairs, “I’m not as body conscious as I thought I’d be.”
“My mom was similar when she started out,” Fluttershy responded, “she said the sight of everyone else being nude helped ease her in.”
“I guess that’s what happening to me.” Twilight said, “but I think it merits future study.”
“Well want to try that study in the Jacuzzi?” Fluttershy asked rubbing her wings to dry them a bit.
“Sure,” Twilight agreed as they slowly ascended. The two exited the pool and quickly made their way over to the Jacuzzi. Three other people were already in the Jacuzzi as the duo entered. The three were engaged in their own conversation that Twilight wasn’t really sure what it was about.
As she sat down within the Jacuzzi, Twilight felt the jets and heat take hold of her and for the first time she truly relaxed. Sinking most of herself under the water, she shifted most of her self away from the steps to allow Fluttershy to sit with her.
“Ahhh,” Twilight said closing her eyes, “This feels nice.”
“It sure does,” Fluttershy agreed.
Just then, Twilight heard over the rumble of the Jacuzzi the door to the lobby fly open. “Fluttershy you made it!” a somewhat familiar voice shouted.
“Oh Vinyl Scratch,” Fluttershy said getting up to greet her friend.
Twilight’s eyes opened up to see a yellowish white fur, Blue hair, red eyed Unicorn person run in and greet Fluttershy. The new person had an expression of both joy and relief at seeing Fluttershy, and it was a face that Twilight recognized.
“Vinyl Scratch,” Fluttershy said, “Meet Miss…”
“Twilight Sparkle,” Vinyl answered for her, “Surprising to see you here?”
“Vinyl Scratch, Sweet Celestia it’s been awhile.” Twilight smiled as Vinyl shook her hand, “How you been?”
“Wait….wait,” Fluttershy said meekly, “You two know each other?”
“We were neighbor’s way back when Twilight first moved in to Golden Oaks.” Vinyl answered.
“I always used to set my clocks by how regular Vinyl practiced her trade. Congratulations on the new album by the way.” Twilight nodded, sinking back into the comfortable waters of the Jacuzzi.
Oddly, while all this was going on, the trio that had occupied the Jacuzzi had discreetly exited so they could get drinks at the bar. That left the Jacuzzi unoccupied as Fluttershy slowly sank back in.
“Oh well, nice to know.” Fluttershy said, “By the way Twilight, Vinyl was usually my second when I would come to these.”
“Yeah Fluttershy and I had become a frequent here, even after I moved to Canterlot.” Vinyl boasted.
Twilight smiled as she looked over Vinyl. The two of them were so similar it was almost uncanny, except Twilight had a smaller head and a heavier chest. As Twilight eased herself back into the Jacuzzi, she looked back up at Vinyl, who seemed to be waiting for someone.
“So Vinyl, did you bring someone this time?” Fluttershy asked.
Vinyl nodded, “Yes I did. She’s just asking what the bartender has in the form of drinks.”
“Really,” Twilight asked, “Why?”
“She’s got a weird allergy, she can’t have any wheat.” Vinyl answered.
Twilight’s eyes widened, “Really she has a wheat allergy? That’s a pretty rare disease to hear of.”
“Quite, it’s actually quite common in my family,” a more eloquent voice agreed.
“About time Octy,” Vinyl smiled.
Twilight looked to Vinyl’s left at a goldish grey fur, black hair, and purple eyed woman walking in. She was the same height with Vinyl, but with much longer hair that ran halfway down her back, as well as a chest similar to Fluttershy.
“Guys, this is Octavia Melody.” Vinyl introduced.
“Greetings to both of you, may I join you please I’ve had a long day.” Octavia smiled.
“Of course,” Fluttershy and Twilight nodded.
So both Vinyl and Octavia walked in to the Jacuzzi and instantly relaxed. After soaking for about a moment, Vinyl looked at Twilight, “So I take it this is your first trip here Twilight?”
Twilight tilted her head, “I’m sorry I don’t follow.”
“I haven’t seen you here before; I didn’t know you were in to being a nudist.” Vinyl answered.
“Oh,” Twilight exclaimed, “Well, no I’m not. Fluttershy invited me today.”
Vinyl nodded with a short surprise, “So this is the first time you’ve been out and about nude?”
Twilight nodded.
“Wow, you seem so confident in yourself.” Vinyl nodded.
“Vinyl, don’t be so judgmental,” Octavia said, “This is my first time walking around bare too.”
Twilight looked at Octavia, “Wow you too?”
Octavia nodded, “Yes, Vinyl mentioned this little social gathering just yesterday. Even though we’ve only been here for about five minutes, I do find this enjoyable.”
“So you weren’t a nudist from a young age?” Fluttershy asked.
Octavia chuckled, “Certainly not. My parents would never have allowed for such deviant behavior.”
“You’re parents are Virtuosi and Rhapsody Melody?” Twilight asked.
Octavia nodded, “Yes, have you met them?”
“Rhapsody was my mother’s clarinet teacher.” Twilight smiled, “Her name was Twilight Velvet back then.”
Octavia nodded with a warm smile, “Oh how interesting, I sure hope dear old daddy left a good impression.”
Twilight giggled, “I wouldn’t know, I never asked her. I only know the name because I read an article about them in the papers and put two and two together. ‘Six Degrees of Separation’ I believe it’s called, psychology is just a passing interest of mine sometimes.”
Octavia nodded, “Well Equestria keeps getting smaller every day. It’s not every day I get to lounge across from two bearers of the Elements of Harmony.”
Twilight blushed while Fluttershy shook off the comment, “We’re just normal Equestrians. Besides it’s not every day we get to lounge next to famous musicians.”
“Ah yes the Great Dee Jay Pon Three,” Octavia said eloquently.
“And Octavia Melody, First Chair in the Cello Section of the Canterlot Royal Orchestra,” Vinyl added before the two giggled.
Fluttershy and Twilight joined in the laughter for a few minutes. After a while, Fluttershy looked at Octavia, “So Octavia, when did you start becoming a nudist?”
“Vinyl got me into it,” Octavia answered, “When I first moved to Canterlot, she and I became roommates.”
Vinyl smiled, “My former roommate moved to Las Pegasus, she was also a nudist from childhood. So I had been used to nude chicks in my place for a long while. When Octy came, it was certainly a shock.”
“It certainly was tough to adjust at first, the two of us fought regularly. Vinyl insisted on being nude mere minutes after walking in the door. After about a month and three walk outs, I got used to it. A few weeks after that I decided to see what all the fuss was about. So while Vinyl was away for a tour, I tried it out. Haven’t looked back since,” Octavia explained.
“Oh wow,” Twilight said ingesting the story, “So what do you think about the lifestyle?”
Octavia pondered for a moment, “Well I find it really relaxing and very freeing. It’s amazing what you can think about when you’re not restricted by clothing. I’ve actually written some of my best cello work sprawled out on the bed, free as a jay bird.”
Vinyl snickered smugly, “Welcome to the Club Octavia.”
Again the quartet laughed. Another moment passed before Twilight spoke up, “Well I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m feeling a bit warm. I think I’m going to back swimming in the pool.”
“Oh not at all Twilight,” Fluttershy said.
“Yeah we’ll be in in a minute.” Vinyl added.
An hour and a half later, after switching from Pool to Jacuzzi, the food was ready to eat. Twilight, Fluttershy, Vinyl Scratch, and Octavia got out of the pool, dried off in the lockers, and headed to the bar for a meal. Switching to their second towel for sitting, Twilight placed one down underneath her as she sat at the booth. Vinyl picked out. Twilight and Fluttershy on sat one side while Octavia and Vinyl sat on the other side.
Twilight had picked up a bowl of salad with a soda, and began eating away at it while Vinyl brought over a beer for herself and wine for Octavia. The four said nothing as they began to eat their food.
“So Twilight,” Vinyl asked between bites, “What do you think of your first nudist experience?”
Twilight chewed her food for a moment looking at Vinyl with a blank face. Then she remembered that she was nude, “Oh right, well I guess the obvious answer is I am enjoying it. I must say I’ve really forgotten about the fact that I’m not wearing anything.”
“I think I made an addict out of her,” Fluttershy said.
“Good to hear Twilight,” Octavia agreed.
“What about you Octavia,” Fluttershy asked, “How are you enjoying your own first time out?”
“I must say, this is probably the most relaxed I’ve ever been in a social outing.” She answered, “I think I’m hooked too.” Then she took another bite of her food, “My, my, this is delicious.”
“Cantina always does a good of catering.” Fluttershy said.
“Well I’ll be sure to give her my regards.” Octavia smiled before taking another bite.
Twilight looked Octavia over, “If you don’t mind me asking Octavia, I’ve never met anyone with a Wheat allergy. It must be tough.”
Octavia sighed, “Well it’s not just wheat I’m allergic to, it’s also a gluten allergy.”
“Still,” Twilight sighed.
With a smile, Octavia dismissed Twilight’s concerns. “Well it’s not all that bad. Actually it’s helped me eat really healthy. Though I must admit it is awkward sometimes when we go to restaurants and I order a sandwich with lettuce instead of bread. Vinyl enjoys drawing special attention to that one.”
Vinyl smirked, “I get a kick out of the server’s reaction actually. Most of them won’t even care; they’ll just pass it off as nothing. But the ones that do have a reaction are quite funny to watch.”
Twilight giggled, “I’m sure it must be.”
“By the Vinyl, I just remembered I forgot to ask how your new album was going.” Fluttershy asked.
“Still working on it unfortunately, I just hit another of my dead ends.” Vinyl bemused, “Octy here calls it procrastination”
“Because it is,” Octavia muttered.
“It is not, its writer block,” Vinyl sniffed, “Anyway, it’s gonna be a bit longer before I release something. Octavia however is riding high on her own recent CD release.”
“Symphony of the Starry nights,” Twilight answered for Octavia, “I know it well.”
“You know my work?” Octavia gasped, “I actually have a fan here?”
“Well Classical music’s always been a pet genre of mine,” Twilight said sheepishly.
A bright smile came on Octavia’s face, “Well whose your particular favorite?”
Twilight meekly smiled, “Well….I likes the Canterlot Royal Orchestra as much as anyone else. But my personal favorite is the Trans Griffon Orchestra.”
Octavia and Vinyl both laughed. Octavia spoke then, “Oh don’t worry Twilight, I think I just found another thing we have in common. I love the TGO. I saw them live recently in Las Pegasus.”
“Oh my,” Fluttershy said, “How were they?”
“They were quite amazing,” Octavia responded, “Simply one of the best classical performances I’ve ever seen.”
Fluttershy nodded and returned to her meal as did the other three. Silence fell over the group for a moment; all the while the commotion of the party filled the ambient background. Twilight pecked away at her salad and her drink. “So what do we do now?” She said after swallowing.
“Now is when we usually start playing.” Vinyl smiled.
“Playing?” Twilight asked.
“Indoor Volley ball, the courts are open now.” Fluttershy said.
“Ooh I would love to get back in that court.” Vinyl said, “It’s absolutely fun.”
“I would actually enjoy some exercise.” Octavia smiled.
“What do you think Twilight?” Fluttershy asked.
Giving it a decent bit of thought, Twilight nodded. The other three girls smiled brightly. They quickly finished their meals, cleaned up, picked up their seat towels, and headed over to the indoor volley ball courts. Four of the Soft sun members were already playing when the girls walked in. The girls tossed their towels on to a bench outside
“Excuse me,” Fluttershy interrupted, “May we join you?”
“Of Course,” one of the five answered, “the more the merrier.”
“Okay you guys on that side,” Vinyl said pointing to the other side.
“And we’ll take this,” Twilight nodded.
A general agreement came from the nine others in the room. Vinyl beckoned for the ball, and then turned to Twilight and Octavia. “Okay general rule is Newbies serve first. Who wants it?” she asked.
Twilight and Octavia looked between each other before Twilight raised her hand. Grinning, Vinyl tossed Twilight the ball. The girls then positioned themselves accordingly: Fluttershy and Octavia in the front with Octavia next to receive the ball, Twilight and Vinyl in the back with Twilight serving.
Once the other team was properly set up, Twilight served. It wasn’t great, but it cleared the net so she didn’t mind. Instantly the ball was sent back her way. Setting the ball into the air, Twilight cleared the way for Vinyl to bump the ball back. Fluttershy, with uncharacteristic gusto, spiked the ball down on to the other team’s floor for a point. The quartet cheered as the ball was rolled back their way.
Twilight picked up the ball, but this time when she served, the ball went into the net. So it was the other teams turn to serve. And they didn’t waste any time. The ball was sent up Vinyl’s way, to which Vinyl bumped back to the other side. Back and forth the ball went until a miss step on Octavia’s part allowed the opposing side another point.
“Drat,” Vinyl sighed, “You okay Octy?”
“I’m fine Vinyl; I’ll get it next time.” Octavia smiled.
Twilight nodded and prepped herself for the ball. It came her way and she sent it back. Octavia got the ball when it was returned, and she redeemed herself by claiming a point with a perfect bump that forced the ball to land in between the opposing four.
“Alright,” Fluttershy cheered, “Your turn Octavia.”
Twilight lost track of time and in the case the score, as they played the game. After a few more rounds, it no longer was about who was in lead or who was scoring the most points, it was just about having fun. And that’s how it was for the remaining hour, Twilight simply had fun. By the time the game was over, she had forgotten she was nude and surrounded by Nudists. Well forgotten again.
When the quartet left, the party had begun to slow down as many of the Soft Sun members were leaving. Fluttershy checked the clock, it read 11pm.
“Well girls we have to get going, it’s getting rather late and I have to feed my critters.” Fluttershy sighed.
“Oh yea, I gotta get back too,” Twilight nodded, “I gotta put Spike to bed.”
Vinyl and Octavia nodded.
“Well, have a safe trip back you two. See you next month hopefully,” Octavia smiled.
“Yeah and if that’s not enough, look us up in Canterlot.” Vinyl smiled.
“We will thank you.” Fluttershy said. She and Twilight then headed back to the lockers.
A grim face took on Twilight’s face. She almost regretted having to leave, and even regretted having to put clothes back on. But Fluttershy was right. They had to get home. So they went back to their lockers and prepped for leaving. Just as she opened her locker though, Fluttershy spoke up.
“So Twilight, did you have fun?” Fluttershy asked.
Twilight nodded, “I did, thank you so much for inviting me.”
“Oh good,” Fluttershy smiled, “So want to come back next month?”
“Are you kidding? Definitely,” Twilight smiled, “I just wonder how I’m going to be able to tell Spike about this.”
