Factory of Fury

"Minty, oh no!" Waterfire wailed, covering her eyes with her hooves. "Somebody, please help her!"

The cage wheeled in over the glue vat, and Minty covered her eyes and whimpered. But suddenly, the gears in the rails above her ground to a halt. The wires began to spark and sizzle, and the cage began to swing about wildly. The little green pony tumbled forward, as the door inexplicably burst open, and Minty was sent hurtling towards the ground below.

"Aieeeeeeee!" THUNK!

The stunned pony fell from the swinging cage just past the vat, hitting the factory's metal floor. Two surprised gizmonks, not believing one of their ponies had gotten out of it's cage, grabbed their shock sticks and raced across the floor to get to the dazed escapee.

"Minty, look out!" Waterfire called out to her klutzy friend. "Hurry up, and get to the control console!"

"Yieeee! Get out of my way, you wierdoes!" The green pony leapt out of the way of the charging monkeys, causing the unsuspecting simians to run into each other with their shock sticks.

"Agrahhhhhh!" Both monkeys screamed, electricity shooting through their bodies as they were both knocked out.

"Way to go, Mints!" Waterfire yelled. "Now hurry up, and get us out of here!"

Nodding, the green mare kicked the control panel, causing it to spark, all the cages to open. All of the ponies inside were dropped to the floor with a loud THUD!

"I can't believe it, Mints! Your bad luck actually paid off for us for a a change!" Waterfire told her with a smile, as she and the other ponies pulled themselves back up to their hooves. "Now, come on! Let's go find AJ!"

But before any of the ponies had time to react, two gizmonk factory workers came around the corner, coming back from their lunch break.

"Security! The ponies are out of their cages!" One of the sinister simians yelled. "We need help down here, pronto!"

"Oh no you don't! We're not going back into those cages!" Waterfire yelled angrily. "Girls, make a run for it!"

A horde of monkeys came swarming down the steps, racing towards the escape ponies with their electric prods. But the ponies bolted back down the pathway, with Minty and Waterfire racing back towards the entrance to the underground tunnels they had first come in through. A few of the monkeys were able to catch up with the fleeing equines, but were quickly kicked away by Minty and Waterfire's back hooves. Getting back towards the entrance, the two lead mares began ushering them back down the passageway one by one.

"Hurry up, we need to get though and keep running!" Waterfire exclaimed, as they all galloped down through the icky and disgusting sewer tunnel. "They could catch up with us at any moment!"

And she couldn't be more right, as nearly two dozen of the hairy horrors came barreling after them- workers, security officers, and factory R&D scientists- all of the monkeys who knew that these ponies were their bread and butter, the source of their income. And for those gizmonks who traversed these tunnels to get to the Ponyville region to kidnap specimens, they knew there was a dead end ahead, and the equines had nowhere to go.

"Keep up with them!" One of the furballs called out, as the simian swarm poured along the pipes after them, moving on their knuckles with great agility. "There won't get very far!"

Down and down into the endless maze of pipes the ponies went, their swarm of pursuers hot on their hooves. All of the equines trusted Waterfire, the very mare who lived and worked in this stinky sinkhole, to guide them along the right path back home. But as the came to a particularly narrow pipe, it seemed their faith in her may have been horribly misplaced.

"Waterfire! Why did you bring us down this way!" Minty wailed, as the group of panicky ponies came to the dead end. "Now they're gonna catch us for sure!"

"Don't worry, girls, I know what I'm doing!" The blue mare replied, looking up at the hatch far above them. "You have no idea whose cave we're under at the moment, and who these idiotic apes are about to incur the wrath of!"

"Well well well... lookie what we've got here!" The gizmonk in front snarled, as several of the gizmonks raised their shock sticks. "Now, you stupid horses gonna go back to your cages nice and easy, or we gonna have to get rough?"

"Actually, it's you who's about to get roughed up!" Waterfire called out, looking up and the hatch above. "KIMONO, WE'RE DOWN HERE! MONKEYS ARE TRYING TO KILL US AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!!"

Everyone looked around in confusion for a moment, before the monkeys began to advance again. but suddenly the hatch above them opened, and a purple blur shot down the hole. It all happened so fast...Kimono's karate tore into the unsuspecting gizmonks like a hurricane. The purple pony punched, kicked, and tossed the surprised simians around, shattering their bones and breaking their skulls against the sewer's stone walls. Even their shock sticks, charged witch crackling sparks of electricity, seemed to have no effect on the mare mistress of martial arts.

"Kimono! That... that was amazing!" Minty exclaimed, as the last of the gizmonks fell over dead. "You took out all those creeps without breaking a sweat!"

"Minty... Waterfire, what the heck are you and all these other ponies doing down here!?" Kimono asked, standing upwards on her two back legs, and taking a fighting stance. "And where did all of these mad monkeys come from?"

"Kimono, we need to go save Applejack!" Waterfire exclaimed, as the mares behind her started to climb the now-lowered ladder towards the hatch above. "Come on, Minty and I'll explain on the way!"
