I slowly open my eyes to see darkness. I hear cracks all around me. My eyes fully adjust and I see I'm in a crystal. A dark crystal. I am moving but I am not the one doing it. I feel myself falling. "Ofgh!" I skid across the floor. Pain was all I could feel. I look around to see I am in a cave while being surrounded by dark crystals. I try to rub my head only to feel nothing. I look towards my right arm only to notice...it was not there. I look around to see what else was missing. I was also missing my left leg and I had a huge hole in my chest. I put my left arm on my neck to feel no heartbeat. Great.
I crawl towards a dark crystal and sit upon it. I slowly feel my powers getting stronger. I close my eyes and focus on new body parts. I feel the darkness crawl over me and create new limps and organs. I open my eyes once I hear my new heart beating.
I test out my new to leg to see I could walk. I walk towards the entrance of the cave to see the land is covered in snow. I just manage to see in the distance a pink circle. The Crystal Empire. I look back to the dark crystal. "Thanks for looking after me." I raise my hand and watch as the dark crystal turns into a mist and goes into my hand.
I look back outside. Hmm...to weak to teleport. I step out of the cave to feel the cold slap of nature. I consecrate again and feel the darkness covering my body. When I see again I see my amour is on. Perfect! It starts to crack. Damn! I dismiss my amour and call upon my cloak. It still fit me perfectly. I raise the hood over my head. Now I was competently covered. Head to toe. All anypony could see was a cloak figure with no face. I slowly make my way towards the Crystal Empire. This is going to take a while.
"Halt!" I snap out of my trance to see five Crystal Empire guards. I look to my right to see a tower. Hmm an outpost. "Who are you and what is your business?" I look back to the group. I notice the fourth guard was shaking. Not from cold but from fear. I slowly feed off it. "I'm talking to you!" The one who talk looked like the leader. "Hey!" He comes closer and pokes me in the chest. "I said I-" I quickly jab my hand into his chest. I feel around for a heart and pull it out. The leader drops to the ground while I eat the heart. Delicious. I look back to the group. I start laughing as I walk closer.
Cadence couldn't be happier. She was happy, her husband was happy and her subjects were happy. "Morning!" She waves to the groups she passes by. They wave back.
"My queen!" A guard runs up to her.
Don't ruin the day pleaseee. "What is it?"
"A letter for you." He give it to her. He salutes and walks away.
O...k? She opens the letter.
Dear Cadence
You are invited to the Royal Canterlot party that will be held from three days until now.
Cadence couldn't help but pout. Who ever sent this letter was a part pooper.
I drop the last lifeless body. Delicious as all ways. I watch as the snow covered their bodies. Now to get inside. I push my hand through the dome just to make sure. Luckily nothing bad happened. I walk through to be greeted by the warmth and all the goodies. I continue to walk until I come across the first house. A crystal pony was tending to her flowers. Why is she shining? "Excuse me miss."
"Hmm?" She doesn't even turn towards me.
"May I ask a question?" She nods. "What happened to King Sombra?"
She shivers at the name. "Don't you know?" I don't reply. She get up and turn towards me. Her crystal coat instantly disappears as her eyes shrink. "Y-you!" I notice her gaze was lower. I look down at my cloak to see blood upon it. I let out a chuckle as I move closer. I grab her by the throat and look into her eyes.
All she could she was darkness while I feed off her fear. "I'm back~" I drop the mare on the floor. She runs away within a second while screaming. Ohh this is going to be fun.
"Halt!" I turn to a bigger group of guards. What caught my eyes was at the front of the group was a unicorn wearing purple and gold armour. I take a step closer. "You will not harm anypony!" I took one more. "Halt!" He notice something I didn't "Guards arrest him!" I stopped while nothing happened. The shouting pony turn to see all of the guards shivering. "What the?" He turns back to me. "What did you do?"
"How about this?" I begin. "Tell me your name and I tell you mine."
He nods. "I am Shining Amour."
"Your special aren't you?"
"You ask for my name and I gave it."
"Smart pony. Well then. I am Zaro~" I give a bow. "Your guards reaction shall tell you of you to be careful."
"Who are you?" He asks while I take a step closer.
"If you beat me I tell you."
"As you wish!" He charges me. I let out a sigh and step to the side. He charges again. I step to the side. An hour was spent of me feeding of the guards fear and dodging Shining.
I let out a chuckle. "Give up?" He shakes his head. "My turn~" I pick him up by the muzzle and throw him into the air. I hear him scream. "Weak." I bring back my fist and as soon as he is close enough. I bring it down and send him flying towards the castle. I burst out laughing as I watch him break through the castle wall. I turn back to the rest. "Boo!" They all run away screaming.
I look back at the hole I made in the castle and focus. I open my eyes to see I'm in the throne room. "Shining!" I see a pink Alicorn run up to the defeated Shining.
"Oh come on. I didn't hit him that hard!"
Her gaze flips to me. "You did this!" I nod. "How dare you!" She sends a bolt of lighting at me. I simple stand and take it. "What?"
"My turn~" I summoned two tentacles to grab the two and hold them against a wall. I walk up to Shining. "Now we have a fight to finish."
"Wait no!" I turn and walk towards the Alicorn.
"Who are you?"
"Cadence..."
"Where is King Sombra?"
"I-I rule the Crystal Empire."
"H-how?"
"He." Cadence thought of an idea that mite work. Time to do a Rainbow she thought "He gave me the crown."
"W-what?"
"Yeah he gave me the crown."
"Tell me how then." I grab her by the neck and throw her onto the throne. I sit on the floor. "So?"
"W-well." Cadence was sweating. Don't fail me now mind! She thought to herself. "After his second defeat King Sombra realise that there was more power in Friendship. So while he hated doing it he made the crystal hear pure. He was given more powerful magic. He accepted peace with Celestia and Luna. He died a few years ago and gave the crown to me."
Cadence stared at the figure. "Guess I have follow you know." Cadence jaw dropped. Did it buy it?
I didn't buy that story. That was the worst lie ever but I know my master would want me to take this chance. "If he gave you the crown then I serve you. Just you."
Cadence had to test this. "L-let go of my husband." The figure nods and the tentacle that hold Shining fades away. "Shining!"
I watch my fake mistress run towards her love. I walk up to her. "He just needs healing magic and painkillers." She nods and teleports Shining away.
She gets up and looks at me. "Well let's start over." I nod. "I am Mi Amore Cadenza. You can call me Cadence. I rule the Crystal Empire with my husband Shining Amour. I am also niece of Celestia. Ohh I should write about you!" I shiver. "What wrong?"
"Servant of Sombra before he was good. Remember?"
"Oh right."
"So be careful how you talk of me."
She nods. "Now tell me about yourself." She walks back to my true master throne.
"Well." I sit back on the floor. "My name is Zaro. I am a human. Only one in Equestria. Yes I am a alien. Sombra took me in when he saw great power in me. Learned magic and dark magic. I was loyal to him and I think we became friends. I serve you now but will not follow all your commands."
"Like what?"
"Hugs..."
"Aw..." She pouts.
"Well I feel sorry for you."
"How come?"
I walk over to a window. "You have to get the ponies on your side. I mean. Hey my subjects~ I have a loyal and powerful servant of King Sombra~ No worries~"
Cadence facehoofs.
And I lose a good source of fear to feed on. Please this be a good idea. "Zaro?" I turn to Cadence. "Can you take your hood off?" I nod and take it off.
She staring at me in a weird way. "Stop that."
"Oh sorry it's just I never seen anything like you."
"Whatever Mistress!" I see Cadence pout.
"Finally!" I see Cadence enter the throne room. "Ugh where are you Zaro?" I drop from the ceiling and land in front of her. "Oh...Well I told my subjects and they freaked out but I thought of a way to clam them down."
"Oh?"
"Well we can use the elements on you if you try anything."
"Oh your no fun."
She lets out a giggle as she sits on her throne. "I also send a letter to my aunties an-" A bright flash appears in the room. "And here they are."
Great. The flash subsides and Celestia with her sister Luna are standing there.
"YOU!" Luna horn glows but he sister puts a hoof on it. "Ow! Sister!"
"Now Luna remember what the letter said."
"But Sister!" Oh my god could she wine.
Celestia walks up to me. "We meet again."
"Hi."
She starts to circle me. "Now what you say is true?" I nod. "So let me do a test." I nod. She touches my forehead with her horn while it glows. "Hmm seems you are telling the truth." OH MY GOD IT'S THAT EASY TO TRICK HER! ALL I DID WAY CREATE AN ILLUSION IN MY MIND! AHHHHHH! "Zora?" I snap out of my trance.
"Sorry I got carried away."
"That ok." She lets out a sigh. "I'm glad we have made a friend."
"Whoa!" I back away from Celestia. "I work for Cadence but we are not friendssssss." I hiss out. "You have to understand since you know. We were on different sides, blasted by the sun and moon and waking up dead."
"Dead?" Cadence trots up to me.
"Oh yes~ When I awoke I saw that I had lost my right arm, left leg and my heart from the blast. So I had to create a new one. How? Magic..." I slowly made my way towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Luna asks.
"Food." I walk out.
"Do you trust him sister?"
Celestia shakes her head. "We have to keep an eye on him."
Cadence starts to walk towards the door. "Leave that to me!"
