Majestic and Her Majesty

by Pegasus Lightning

The Princess of the Night

“Luny? Luny? Are you okay? You look dizzy.”

She looked up, into the eyes of a Pegasus colt. She then sat up, only to find herself crying once more, but this time, tears of pure joy. She then cried tears of agony, as she would have to live through their journey yet again. This might as well be enjoyed as much as it can be.

The young colt said, “Oh, hi! I'm Majestic. I know who you are because Ms. Raspberry told us to introduce ourselves. But I didn't go yet. Did I mention my name's Majestic? I think I did. Here, let me help you up.”

The small pony assisted Luna, as she stood up rather slowly. She remembered where she was. School. Kindergarten, as a matter of fact. She looked at him and winked, and he blushed. She remembered this scene, rather well. Celestia was friends with Majestic's older sister, Tornada, who actually went on to create the most powerful single-Pegasus tornado in all of Equestrian history. Tornada told Celestia how Majestic felt about Luna, and, well, Celestia told Luna. Luna couldn't say the same, for she didn't know how to love quite yet, as such a young filly, and just said she'd be nice to him.

“Thank-you.” Luna said.

“Umm, do you want to sit together at lunch? I don't have any friends, and, well, you're close to me right now!”

“Sure. Where do you want to sit?”

“Under the apple tree, where I always sit.”

“Meet you there.” she said with a grace that even an older pony would notice as exquisite.

The colt practically collapsed when she actually sat with him that day. He was expecting her to forget like all of the colts he'd invited before, (and the one other filly) but Luna was different. They sat, and like young lovers, they talked and joked, drank their apple juice, traded their sandwiches, and then traded back. They each ate a mini-cupcake of their own, and stared at each other innocently for quite some time. When the bell rang, Luna's heart jumped, because they were so close to the bell, and she spit out the last bit of apple juice she had in her mouth onto him.

“Oh, my goodness, oh dear, I...” Luna worriedly quipped (Quipis!)

“It's okay,” Majestic reassured, “ now I'll smell like apples!”

They laughed together, and headed inside, side-by-side.

Meanwhile...
“Twilight, is she... -”

“What?”

“You know,...”

“What are you talking about, Fluttershy?”

“She means dead. Is she dead?” Rainbow Dash characteristically interjected.

“I don't think so.”

“Lookey!” Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing.

Luna was tossing and turning, before stopping in the opposite position she had been in before.
“I think she's dreaming.” Rarity stated.

“Ah think she's runnin'” Applejack declared.

“No she's not. She's in a coma. Probably from the fall. If she IS dreaming, then she sure is in there for something serious.” Twilight quipped.

With a crash, Celestia came down and stared at her sister, viewing the swollen bags underneath her eyes, and the black streaks running down her cheeks, and, with a frown, hung her head low.

“I know why. It's a part of her past she's shared with nopony. Nopony except me. And I made a promise to her to keep that secret, and I will stick to my word.”

Luna kicked again, and was soon with Majestic's now-larger body.

The memories are so vivid, she thought to herself. Now an older filly, she knew what love was, and decided to stay away. All of her sister's friends had colt-friends of their own. They'd all had their hearts broken, and honestly, she didn't want that. Her memories kicked into high-gear now, as she was walking through the center of Canterlot to buy some celery stalks, when another Pegasus put a rain cloud over her head. She recognized him from the start. She was Celestia's old boyfriend, who she'd dumped. The rain cloud rained hard, soaking all of the baked goods she was carrying, as well as the bits in her saddlepack. She was mad. But, before she could chase him, another Pegasus jumped forth, a white stallion with a lightning bolt infused with a heart for a cutie mark, leapt forward and grabbed him. He yanked the older, yellow stallion to the ground in one fell swoop. The white stallion pinned him with a front hoof on each of his shoulders.

“WHAT in the hay do you think you're doing?”

“Sorry, I didn't-”

“Horseapples! Shame on you! Why in Equestria did you put that cloud over this beautiful mare? This stunningly gorgeous Luna? She has had nothing to do with whatever troubles you're trying to rid by bullying everypony else. Say you're sorry, then BUZZ OFF!”

The yellow stallion, now turning a shade of light red, apologized to Luna, and flew away in tears.

“Mr?”

“Yes Ms. Luna?”

“Thank- wait, how did you know my name?”

“Why, everypony in all of Equestria should know the name of the most incredible mare in all of history. Oh, and you've already presented yourself to Ms. Raspberry's class. I didn't.”

“Majestic!”

“Hello, Luna.”

“My my, have you grown into quite the stallion. And the handsome stallion at that, might I add.”

“Well, Miss Luna, thank you. But by now, you presumably know how I feel towards the likes of you. Although the extra curves you've grown are extra-stunning from whence I saw you last.”

“Yes, and back when we were in kindergarten, Celestia told me how you felt. Tell me, how many other mares have you loved since me?”

“Zero, as their beauty does not even compare to yours. Their laughs are not as charming, their breath not as gentile, their likes not as kind. You are the mare of my dreams, though my dreams could have not dreamt such a perfect mare of such beauty and excellence.”

Luna was almost in tears as he said this.

“I... I... I...”

“Say nothing, my dear.”

He kissed her. Luna accepted, as there was no other choice. In addition, Majestic was the most loyal stallion she'd ever known as of now. Time slowed, and what seemed like thirty seconds was actually about 20 minutes. Some ponies had begun to stop and stare.

“Majestic,” Luna began as she backed away, “I-, I can't stay any longer.”

“May I see you later?”

“We'll see. I don't think Celestia will be very happy with me, though.”

“So I will have to wait another 8 years to meet you again?”

“No, no. How's next Thursday, for dinner?”

“Fantastic. See you later, Luny.” Majestic turned to leave.

“Majestic, wait!” Luna shouted as she ran over to him and tackled him in a hug. She kissed him again, and, upon getting off of him, smiled and winked.

“I love you.” Luna whispered in his ear.

“I know.” Majestic quipped.

The Princess turned to leave, and actually ran and leapt into the air.

“What's she doing?” inquired Twilight.

“I... Don't know...” Celestia informed her student.

Suddenly, Luna made another jolting movment, and into a large gynasium she went. She was wearing a small purple dress. Then she saw Majestic. He was wearing a coat, a white suit and black tie to counter all of the white.

“Hello, Majestic.”

“Hello, my love.” He said.

“Here we are.”

“Here we are.”

“So,” Luna began, “Four whole years and now this. The future is in our hooves.”

“The future is in YOUR hooves.”

“No, Majestic,”

“Don't. It's okay. I know it's the prom, but I've accepted the facts. Its alright. You have a kingdom to control soon. We won't see each other that much. But that's what bonds us together.”

“At least we have tonight, my love.”

And with that, the two danced the night away. And when they weren't called for prom king and queen, they just sighed and they smiled. Upon the ending of the dancing, they went to Canterlot Castle, up to Luna's Widowpony Watch. From there, they just sat, staring into each other's eyes, reminicing, and kissing as lovers often do, until the night ceased and day was brought forth.

Luna kicked again.

“Twi, will she wake up er not?” the farmer mare asked.

“I don't know. I've never seen anypony in a coma before.” the student responded.

Luna's mind was in overdrive. Her memories, so long ago, were resurfacing, and the mental space by which these dreams were occupying had been overwhelming. The only way she could clear up enough space to remember to complete simple tasks was by living these memories through once daily, which made them clearer, requiring less brain power to recreate/keep them.

Luna was now in a large courtyard. Princess Celestia's rainbow mane was floating over the Princess of the Night. Luna chose not to think of this while she was awake, as her feelings toward her sister would surely worsen.

“Please, Tia!”

“No, Luna. This will not happen. The castle has but a room to spare, and that room belongs to whomever fills the head guard spot.”

“What if he were to fill that position?”

“I wouldn't allow for it.”

“Why not?” she asked repeatedly, knowing the answer was still no.

“You know why. Plus he's not even trained.”

“Tia, please!”

“I said NO. Luna, go. Talk to your people. They shall make you happy. And should I find you talking to that 'Majestic' stallion again, well, you'll never be the princess of anything.”

“Tia-”

Princess Celestia was furious now. With all of the power in her voice, she turned, face red with anger, and with ear-piercing loud volume, screamed,

“NNNNOOOOOO!!!!”

And with not a word more, Luna turned and, in tears, ran from the tower as fast as her hooves could move.

She kicked again, and turned her head violently from side to side. The ponies overlooking jumped back.

“Is that seriously bad?” Rainbow Dash inquired.

“Yes, extremely.” Twilight responded.

“Really? She looks like she's having FUN!” Pinkie remarked

“I wonder what she's doing.” Fluttershy quietly whispered.

“Oooohh, a guessing game! I LOVE games! She's bouncing on a trampoline! I want a trampoline!”

“No, sugar cube. This ain't fun. She might be in danger.” AJ quipped.

Luna was now in a small house. There was still one light on. One candle-light. Majestic was there.

“What is it, my love?”

“My sister has declined your residence with me.”

“Oh it's alright.”

“But, Majestic,- she says that I can't see you anymore.”

“Then we shall see each other by accident.”

“But, Majestic, I want to spend every moment of time I have with you. My love. My perfect match.”

“As do I. But our regal princess has said against it.”

“Oh, Majestic. If only she knew how much I love you.”

“Yes, if only. Tell me, Luna, will you spend your night with me?”

“Of course.”

“And should this night be our last together, then let us make it in love, and in never forgetting one another.”

“I just wish...”

“We can do nothing now.”

He kissed her, and she him. They spent the night together, through the dim light of day, into the early light-blue of night, and into the midnight purple. They sat, comforting one another, until sleep forbade them to remain awake any longer. When first awoke Luna, the light of the candle was still on. She looked up at her stallion, her lover, and nuzzled herself up close to his neck, lying her dark head and flowing blue mane on his chest. He awoke, and upon gazing upon her with his starry eyes, sang. Luna, with eyes closed began to cry softly. She listened to his sweet but deep voice sing her mother's lullaby. The song of the Valley of the 20 ponies. The valley, bonded together by love, torn by war, but held together by 2 lover ponies who died in the process, keeping the community alive. The sound of his sweet voice, the memory of her sweet lover-stallion, and the purebeauty of the scene tore Luna apart.

When her handsome colt-friend has finished the song and began to kiss her and comfort her once more, she softly whispered,

“I will always love you. And nothing, not even being forced to marry some royal person, will change that. Nothing.”

“Luna, I will always pray and dream that one day, you will return to my little hut. I know for sure that we will have a family some day. And Celestia's willpower to separate us cannot overcome that. I know it. Love conquers all.”

With that, Luna stood up, kissed him for a few moments more, and left the hut.
Luna's dream was all a sped up journey from then on. She only saw small flashes of her and Majestic together. The night of his secret proposal. The night of the royal costume ball, by which Majestic dressed as a guard so he could see Luna. The night they decided on their children being means for Celestia giving them a right to be together. So children were to be had. She remembered her 9 months of practically hiding in her tower until secretly delivering the twins. She remembered only being able to see them twice a week. The pain tore her apart.

“Mommy, why can't we go with you?” the twins would ask.

She remembered not being able to answer to their innocent little faces. They were her and Majestic's own children, two little colts, scared in the world. Two pegausi, hardly able to flap their teeny little wings. Their light-blue and dark-blue bodies huddled together in fear, their little hearts racing, and their emtions growing darker until, at last, their father came home. Until, like a bolt of lightning, they were gone. This was the worst day of Luna's life.

She recalled that morning. It was Saturday, her day to do what she pleased. She went to go visit her sons, but when she trotted in, they were nowhere to be found. She found Majestic in the market, and told him what happened. He dropped everything he was carrying and sprinted back to his small home. The glass from the sasparilla he was carrying shattered, the ringing 'KKSSSHHH' could be heard all across the world from what Luna could tell. His running hooves, the 'CLOP' of each as it hit the grey cobblestone street, the small pattering of his wings as he ran, all registered the princess helpless as to hold back her tears and her sadness, but then one thing was brought to her attention. Celestia. Immediately, she took flight towards Canterlot Castle.

“Where are they?!?!”

“Who, sister?” Celestia asked calmly.

“You know! I know you know! Give me them back! Celestia, please! They're innocent! It's my fault! I'm sorry! Don't hurt them!”

“Who in Equestria are you talking about?”

“Tia, please! They're your family!”

“It's too late, Luna.”

“What did you do to my babies, YOUR nephews, MY family?!”

“See for yourself.” Celestia meniacally demanded, hoof pointed outside.

Luna ran for the door. She exited, and upon seeing what Celestia had pointed to, collapsed.

“NNNOOOO! NNOOOO!”

Their small, innocent faces. Frozen in fear, huddled up together. Shrouded forever in stone. Their eyes still sparkled. Their cheeks wet with first tears.

“YOU KILLED THEM!” Luna accused Celestia.

“Sister, I told you that your relationship was forbidden. Your disobedient ways left me no other choice.”

“So you KILLED my babies?!?!”

“Relax, they're not dead. They just can't move, breathe, or grow, and they're most likely asleep, as they will be for the rest of eternity.”

“You MONSTER!”

“Luna!”

“Majestic!”

“Oh no you don't!”

Celestia's horn lit up as Majestic was trapped in a field of rainbow and black dust.

“Majestic!”

“Luny, I'm okay.”

“No! Look what she did to our little colts!”

Majestic turned his head in horror, and, with a force rivaled only by a Sonic Rainboom and Celestia's magic combined, broke Celestia's forcefield, and tackled the regal princess to the ground, just as he'd tackled the yellow stallion that created rain over Luna so many years ago.

Celestia would have none of it. The guards ran over, grabbing Majestic and wrestling him off of their ruler.

In the meantime, Luna had gone outside to break the spell over her children. The Princess of the Sun had a guard prevent her from doing so by grabbing her and shoving her against a wall.

“NO!”

Luna shouted this several times as her horn lit up, and with a guard levitating, knocked him out cold with the head of another guard. With the third guard, another Pegasus, she picked him up and slammed his head down into the ground. Now she ran after Celestia. She was too late. At least twenty more Royal Guards had surrounded her now.

Luna hung her head low in defeat. She was ordered to her room, and upon her climb up the seemingly endless tower stairs, heard Majestic's banishment sentence. She entered her room

She shook violently.

“Girls, move!” Celestia shouted to the mane six, now joined by Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

Everypony darted off to the side, then

“BOOM!”

A blast went off from Luna's horn, creating a crater in the ground of where she'd laid before.
AJ and Scootaloo were blown to the edge of the library. Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle were to Carousel Boutique. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rarity were all in front of Sugarcube Corner. Princess Celestia to Sweet Apple Acres. Pinkie Sense had saved the Party-Pony, so she was still bouncing in front of Luna as before.

Luna then was forced to see the final parts of her torturous dream. About two years later a dirty, large, thin, white pony had entered the town yesterday needing desperate medical attention that only the Princess' spells could give. Celestia'd told Luna to see the stallion in the hospital immediately. She went over to the hospital quickly. She entered the hospital, and into the patient's room went the flowing mane and the sleek dark body of the Princess Luna.

“I-I think I know you from somewhere. You look- different than I remembered, though.”

“That's because I'm your very special somepony,” the stranger replied, “ and I need you to tell Celestia that I need her help, Luny. I will die within three hours if she doesn't help me.”

“Majestic?”

“Yes.”

“Oh my goodness!”

The two lovers kissed once and Luna was on her way. When she arrived at the castle, she told Celestia immediately of the situation. Celestia was furious with her younger sibling for trying to help her outlawed lover-stallion like this. She refused to help.

“TIA! He NEEDS medical attention! You can't deny him that! He's a denizen of YOUR Equestria! It's not by some request of mine! Help this poor colt before he dies because of your ignorance!”

“No. If he needs actual help, you may help him.”

“You'll teach me the spell?”

“No. Find the Spell Tome and I'll lend THAT to you- at a price.”

“What- price?”

“Your sons' lives.”

“NO! Tia, PLEASE!”

“I'm sorry, sister, but my judgement is final. It was your choice to go against my will.”

“Tia! You're being illogical! This is uncivilized! Why would you let this man die? What did he do?”

“He continued to disobey me with you. He must face the consequences.”

“Tia, you've already killed my sons! You can't kill Majestic, and your own nephews!”

None of Luna's pleading could change the stubborn princess' mind. As Celestia'd always been a pony to stick to her word, no matter what.

“Watch me. My illegitimate nephews will never see power. My forbidden brother-in-law will never see another sunshine, and my sister will never see the day.”

“Tia...”

“Go. Be with Majestic. His death draws near. His presence is now unimportant. Your damaging of my reputation as ruler has been done.”

“But Tia!”

“GO! YOU'RE LUCKY I DON'T JUST KILL YOU RIGHT ON THE SPOT!”

Without a word more, Luna, in through blurrying vision, turned her tail and fled to the Royal Canterlot Hospital (at that time it was called the C.A.S.- Canterlot Aide Station)
Like out of the Titanic, Luna played the role Ruth and Majestic of Jack, the lovers knew what was coming and knew just what to say and when to say it. The cold, icy grip of death now insisted on taking Majestic's life, but the stallion refused to let go.

“I love you, Luna.”

“I love you, Majestic.”

“I'm so sorry Luna. I shouldn't have been so needing.”

“No, I'm sorry I didn't move us to a far away place. I'm sorry that I didn't see our little boys any more before my monstrocity of a sister took them. I'm so sorry...”

There was an eerie silence.

“...And now I've managed to get you killed in the process.”

“Luna. Don't be. Celestia sent somepony. I was brutally beaten and held down and poisoned by two Royal Guards. They wore black suits, but their helmets were unmistakably Canterlot. Promise me, Luna, you will not mourn me, but rather, get your revenge. Use your brilliant powers and beautiful looks to stir concern. Make 'Tia' guilty of her actions. I love you.”

Without another word, the brilliantly white stallion had turned a shade of bright grey, and stolen one last kiss from the mare of his dreams, and let the white light take him.Luna, without tears, swore revenge on Celestia that night. Writing that she was 'jealous of Celestia's day', adopted the Nightmare Moon title, and the rest is in Twilight's books.

After Celestia'd defeated Nightmare Moon and banished her to the moon, she told the story of Luna's jealousy. Although in her head and her heart she knew she'd told the truth, but only slightly.

Luna kicked, screamed, 'Tia! NOOO!' about three times over, begin flowing tears, and then awoken, rather abruptly.

“Wha- where am I? What happened? Why are you all standing here?”

“Hello, sister.”
“Y'all alright there, Misses Princess Loon-a?”

“I'm okay,” Luna sniffled, “Just a bad dream.”

“Like a nightmare?” Rainbow inquired

“Yes, like my previous title.”
Muffled laughter all around.

“What was it about? Bad sasparilla? Burnt cupcakes? Eeew- that is awful!” Pinkie bounced and asked.

“No, no.”

“Kumquat? Cherry Chonga? CHIMMIE CHERRY CHONGA?!?”

“Pinkie! Enough!” Rarity stepped in, “The poor porincess has had a rough enough time as it is, do leave her be.”

“I assure you- it's quite alright. But, no. It was about a certain stallion.”

“Ooh, do tell.” Rarity persuaded.

“Alright.” Luna proceeded to tell the six beholders of the elements of harmony.

At last Luna finished, she told them about her roses.

“That house belonged to him?” Twilight inquired

“Yes. And that candle? It's still burning from the night that the two colts came into this world.”

“Who exactly are two colts?” Fluttershy whispered

“The two colts?” Luna confirmed.

“Umm.. yes. Bolt and Raven?”

“Bolt and Raven are...” Luna turned to Celestia, “No, were,... my sons.”

“But you said that uh- yer sister turned tha two tuh stone.”

“Yes. That's correct.”

Gasps went across the room, and glances were exchanged as the Cutie Mark Crusaders now joined the conversation.

“What're y'all gaspin' about?” Applebloom innocently asked.
Applejack hugged her sister. Rarity hugged Sweetie Belle. Rainbow Dash gave a brohoof to Scootaloo.
Fed up with guilt, the princess finally broke down and slightly exclaimed,
“Luna, I'm so sorry!”

“Sister, It's okay.”

“No, it's not.”

“It's not like we can change them back. Can we?”

“WE can't. But Fluttershy could help us.”

“M...Me?”

“Yes. Do you know where the cockatrice fled to after you- defeated- it?”

“WHAT?!?!” the rest of the mane six exclaimed. The CMC and Twilight just grinned.

“I... I suppose so.”

“Could you go get it for me?”

“Oh,... umm... okay.”

“Should we go lure it out for you again?” Sweetie Belle asked.

“No! What?!?!” Rarity screamed and nearly fainted.

As the shy pony disappeared towards her cottage with Scootaloo, who was to accompany her on her treacherous journey, Luna asked Celestia a few questions.

“How will it help?”

“The cockatrice can reverse its effects.”

“Won't they have grown?”

“No. They're the same age.”

“How old are these people?” Applebloom asked.

“Actually, just about your age. The two colts haven't ever had any real friends yet. I'm sure they'd be happy to see you three. Just smile. They're very shy, but very nice boys.”

The nine ponies present, and Spike on Twilight's back, went to the train station. Well, all accept for Rainbow Dash, who bet she could beat the train to Canterlot. Fluttershy and Scootaloo arrived, and the train left promptly.

Rainbow was right. Panting, she was at the courtyard of the castle when the others arrived. They quickly made way to the back of the palace, where the statue was hidden. Fluttershy, cockatrice in cage in hoof, convinced the creature to come out. Swiftly, she got it to do what it'd done to Twilight, remove the stone it had created. After the stone was removed, the two colts stumbled backwards, into Luna's outstretched arms. Lying on their backs, front hooves in the air, waving wildly to block the sunlight, they began whining.

“Shhhh. Mommy's got you.”

“Momma?” the two colts hopefully said in Fluttershy-grade whispers.

“You're okay. You're okay.”

As of this moment, they were blind. Luna's sons had had so much time in their shell, that their eyes, although completely inactive, had become unable to see.

Pinkie began to sniffle. This was followed by a chorus of sniffling, and with the party pony began the tears.

The next day, the colts' vision returned. They were now behaving same as how they did so many years ago. After they had breakfast, they met their Aunt Celestia for the first time. They were also introduced to the other ponies that had been there for their rebirth. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had been exploring Canterlot, so they were last to meet their new friends.

“So, what's up?” Scootaloo asked.

The colts just shrugged their shoulders.

“So you're from Ponyville?” Bolt made small talk.

“Yup.” Scootaloo responded.

“Applebloom, what's wrong?” Sweetie Belle quipped.

“Lookit their flanks!”

“No way!”

“You guys are blank flanks, too huh?”

“Yes.” Raven whispered.

“We were trying SOO hard to find out our talents, but NOTHING works.” Bolt exclaimed.

“US TOO!” The CMC responded in agreement.

“We can ALL be Cutie Mark Crusaders!” Sweetie Belle beamed.

“Yay!” Applebloom and Scootaloo agreed in unison.

“What's that?” Bolt inquired to the three fillies in front of them.

“Our club!” They bursted.

“A club? Yeah!” Bolt showed his opinion.

“I guess so.” Raven said quietly.

“You don't talk much, do you?” Sweetie Belle stated.

“No, he doesn't. Or at least, not to anypony but me.”

“Oh.”

“Boys?” Luna called out.

“Coming!” Bolt said.

The two colts trotted over to their mother, who was standing with Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.

“Boys? I'm so sorry, but I can only see you a few times a week, I have a lot of work to do. So for now, ou will live in Ponyville with your new friends.”

“Yes!” Bolt said excitedly.

“Bolt, my brave little happy warrior? You'll stay with Pinkie Pie. Raven,my silent, animal-loving, little genius? Fluttershy has agreed to let you live with her in her cottage. You can go and see each other when ever you want. I promise. If you ever need anything, just give Spike a letter and I'll be there faster than a Sonic Rainboom.”

“Yes, mama.” The colts nodded.

“It's like a party! Only it NEVER ends!” Pinkie bounced over to Bolt.

“It's going to be so much fun. I just know that the animals will love another Pegasus.”

“You take care of animals?” Raven uncharacteristically hopped and spoke up.

“Yes. Many.”

“I just LOVE animals!”

“Me, too!”

“Alright, you two. Go have fun with the fillies.” Luna interrupted.

“Okay, mama.” Raven once more spoke up, with a Pinkie-Pie style spring in his step.

Without a word, the two colts returned to be inducted into Crusaderdom.

The night skies began to progress over the day's sun once more. As Luna had returned from her evening rising of the sun, Celestia approached her.

“Sister, I regret everything.”

“It's okay. My children are ALIVE. That's all that I can wish for right now.”

“No. I killed their father.”

“I loved him. He loved me. That's all I could ever have hoped for.”

“He's dead. I want to make tings right.”

“Tia, suicide is never the answer. If you need some help, I can always...”

“No you dodo, I mean I can raise him until morning. You may go to his home, with the candle-light eternal, and be with him. He is not a ghost, but his soul will be put into his body restored. HE will be there. I can do this once every year, today. This night. You may go meet your suitor now. Enjoy, and be swift. He will leave you at 8 O'clock tommorow morning.”

“Thank you.”

And Luna was off into the night. Nothing was said except for I love you, I miss you.Nothing was done but dancing and kissing between the two shadowy figures. The door was locked. Nopony could enter.

As the day became day, Majestic's body returned to the grave, his soul to the sky-haven above. Higher than even Cloudsdale. 20% cooler than the Pegasus capitol, one hundred per cent Valhala.

In the midday, Luna kissed her two colts on the forehead, and left them to the other fillies and Spike, already on the train. It left, and an overly exuberant Luna, smiling, trotted back to her castle.

Twilight Sparkle smiled, as she wrote her first update on the twins. Her first actual report to Luna. It read,

Dear Princess Luna,

Things here in Ponyville are very well. Your twins are even more inteligent than we had originally anticipated! From Fluttershy's reports, I can tell that Raven is making a lot more friends and is now a more talkative colt. He is getting along very well. He does have a few talents in singing, alike his friend Sweetie Belle. From what Applejack has said of him, I can tell her little sister Applebloom has a crush on him. Pinkie Pie doesn't deliver any reports regarding Bolt, but rather, the two bounce up to the library and sing/excitedly recite them They're getting along very well. Bolt has learned to fly, and is teaching his friend Scootaloo to fly. They both think highly of Rainbow dash, and are miniature daredevils themselves! Do not be concerned, they do ALWAYS wear their helmets. From what gossip Rarity has exposed me to, I now know that Sweetie Belle has strong affection for Bolt. Bolt has spoke highly of her as well, and I expect to see the youngest couple I've seen in a long time between the two. How exciting! The colts also enjoy time with Spike as well. Because Spike is a young boy, they have an immediate connection by virtue of sex. They love to read and write, although their penmanship could use some work. Spike is also learning to write with his mouth, alike his two new friends. He is teaching them to write more neatly as well. They say they cannot wait to see their regal mother again. They have a sleep over almost twice a week every week. They love you and cannot wait to see you!

Your messenger and your sister's faithful student,

Twilight Sparkle

“The days of old have passed to anew,
As our second birth was overdue!
Celestia freed us from our toil,
We shall be forever loyal!

To Equestria, the greatest place of all,
Under Royal protection this land shant fall,
Us two colts, named Bolt and Raven,
Will serve Equestria until we ascend to Haven!”

“Very good!” Scootaloo said

“Do it again, Bolt!” called Bolt's now-girlfriend Sweetie Belle

“Yeah, you too Raven!” shouted Applebloom to her special somepony.

“Maybe we'll find our Cutie Marks in writing poetry.” Raven sarcastically suggested.

Laughter filled the small clubhouse. Raven and Bolt walked over to their respective filly-friends, and nuzzled each other's lover gently. Just as the sun was about to set, Raven and Applebloom shared their first kiss together. Sweetie Belle just hugged Raven tighter. Scootaloo went to her practice session with Rainbow Dash, and a chorus was heard all through the apple orchards,

“I love you. I wish we could be together, here, forever.”

And stay they did, until the call of Applejack brought their moments to an end. And that night, each of the two colts received something even bigger than a cutie mark. They became alicorns. With this, Sweetie Belle aand Applebloom were granted eternal life with their ever-loyal companions. And on that morning, brought they were- all four schoolponies- into the castle to be told the news. The only thing that matched their happiness in terms of excitement was the party Pinkie Pie threw for them.

And with the love so strong, the candle in Canterlot went out. And nor Luna nor Raven or Bolt or their filly-friends were ever unhappy again. And so it is told, Luna still sees Majestic on that one night.

And the next two leaders and their queens were crowned.

And all was perfect.
