[Alternate Ending] A Knight With Spiky Hair (Sority Shipping)

During The Fall Formal...

Everybody was dancing to the beat of Sora's CD within the gymnasium, celebrating the Fall Formal and the Elements of Harmony's victory over Sunset Shimmer. Sora was in the center of the crowd, dancing the night away, he deserved it after saving yet another world from the darkness. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Rarity sneaking away from the party and decided to go after her, hearing the music fade in the background as he went through the halls.

(stop music)

Sora made it to the entrance of the school and saw Rarity standing in the middle of the courtyard by herself, staring at the moon. He walked over to stand right beside her and said, "Hey, Rares."

"Oh!" Rarity exclaimed, slightly surprised, "Sora! I did not hear you come out."

"I came to see if you're alright."

"Yes, I am, I just needed some air, that's all. Dancing can work up quite a sweat, you know."

The two lapsed into silence for a while, not needing to say anything, just watching the moon and enjoying each other's company. When the silence had become unbearable, Rarity chose to break it.

"Sora?"

"Hm?"

"Do you...like me?"

"What? Of course, I do!"

"No, no, no, dearie, I mean, do you like like me?"

The question caught Sora off guard; Rarity liked him for more than a friend? And she wants to know if he feels the same?

Rarity soon felt disheartened when he didn't answer right away, "...I see...I'll just be going."

Sora grasped her hands, "Wait!" He stammered, trying to think of something to say with his face as red as a tomato, "I...I didn't...I didn't say I didn't...I...uh..."

Rarity, with renewed hope, giggled at Sora's bashfulness, "So then, you admit to your affections towards me?"

"Uh...Y...Yeah?"

"Was that a question, darling?" She teased.

"N-No, I...I do, uh, like like you, R-Rarity."

Rarity smiled as she blushed, "You just made me the happiest girl in the world...my 'Knight with Spiky Hair'."

"Huh?"

"Well...I've always told the girls how I've waited for that special someone to sweep me off my feet and take me to a faraway land, where we would live happily ever after, just like in the fairy tales." She pauses, "I was told that life wasn't anything like that...but, your being here disproved what they all said, there are other worlds out there, and quite a few of them ARE fairy tales! I wish, I really wish I could go with you, to those other worlds, even your own, but I understand your reasons; protecting the world order and all."

"Yeah, me too," Sora said, "so, I'm your knight in shining armor?"

"Knight with Spiky Hair, darling," Rarity corrected, "you don't wear armor and your clothing isn't technically shining, but you're my knight, nonetheless."

Sora chuckled, "I guess I am."

Soon, the two embraced each other tightly, enjoying the warmth they give while basking in the moonlight. They loosened their hug and stared into each other's eyes as they sparkle from the glowing moon and shimmering stars above.

"So..." Sora began, "what now?"

"I suppose...we could take it one day at a time?" Rarity suggests.

"Yeah. That works."

"You will come back, right?"

"Of course! Even if we weren't a couple, I'd still come back to see all my friends."

Rarity smiles sweetly, "Has anybody ever told you that you're too nice for your own good?"

Sora's face scrunched up in concentration, "That's funny...I actually remember somebody saying that...though, in a way, it was behind my back."

Suddenly, they hear voices coming from the school's destroyed entrance, it was their friends exiting the school and saying their goodbyes to a certain lavender princess.

"We should probably say our goodbyes to Twilight and Spike," Sora suggests.

"Yes...and our own, as well?" Rarity asks with the telltale signs of watery eyes.

"Not 'goodbye'...'see you later', you mean."

"Oh," Rarity smiles once again, this time gratefully, "yes, of course, that's what I mean."

"So, when I come back, how about we hang out and get to know each other better?"

Rarity giggles, "It's a date."

Sora and Rarity walk towards their friends to bid Princess Twilight and Spike the Dog farewell, the two lovebirds mentally and emotionally preparing themselves for the next time they meet.
