[Alternate Ending] Light That Shines Off An Apple (SoraJack Shipping)

After The Battle With Braig and Young Xehanort...

The party was really in full swing when Sora gave the DJ his CD; everyone was dancing in the gym as a celebration that the worst was over, Sora being one of those people as he danced with Twilight and Flash in a weird, but fun pony-like dance. But he noticed out of the corner of his eye that somebody was leaving, somebody familiar.

Applejack.

Sora followed her through the halls of the school, careful not to alert her to his presence, with the blaring music fading in the distance.

(stop music)

When Applejack finally stopped, it was at the steps in front of the school, where a demonically transformed Sunset Shimmer blasted the front doors open. She sat down and relished in the peace and quiet of the night, Sora didn't approach her right away, thinking that she just wanted a breather from all of the dancing students.

As he stood there, waiting for her to get some R&R, Sora took in some of her features: Applejack's Fall Formal dress sparkled when she, like the rest of the girls, transformed into magical pony/human hybrids, her newly-extended blonde hair slightly waving in the nighttime breeze, and her eyes... those beautiful emerald-colored orbs twinkled as the stars reflected off of them, but most of all, to Sora, what he truly enjoyed about her, was her heart; a heart that shows how honest she is with everyone around her, Sora bet she couldn't lie to any of her friends even if she tried, he remembered when he was having friendship troubles with Twilight, Applejack helped him through it, even helping him see his feelings towards her, but... there was something that he couldn't put his finger on, the way Applejack helped him with her honesty, the way she intertwined her fingers with his after he changed into Wisdom Form, created some sort of spark within him.

Shaking his head from his thoughts, he slowly approached Applejack and stood next to her, saying, "Hey."

Applejack jerked her head in his direction and smiled when she saw who it was, "Hey."

Sora sat down next to Applejack, his eyes never leaving her own, "So... some night, huh?"

"Yeah, it's been pretty crazy."

"Uh-huh."

"Eeyup."

The awkward silence filled the air as they began to shy away from each other, Sora decided to take the initiative and broke it.

"Applejack?"

"Yeah, Sora?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Do you, um... do you... like me?"

"Of course Ah like you, yer ma friend!"

"No, I mean, like me, like me."

"Oh... Oh! You mean, do Ah love you?"

Sora blushed at the word, 'love', "Y-Yeah, that."

Applejack couldn't help but blush herself, she didn't think Sora would just lay his feelings out like that. "Ah... uh... yeah, Ah guess Ah do."

He smiled, "I'm glad."

He and Applejack shared a loving embrace, their warmth overcoming the cool autumn breeze flowing against their bodies. Applejack couldn't help but smile, she hoped that would Sora love her back, and he did. After a while, they pulled away and looked into each other's eyes. Applejack decided to take the lead and aggressively pressed her lips against Sora's, making the latter's eyes widen in surprise. The kiss lasts for only a few seconds until Applejack pulls away.

"Wow." Was all Sora could say.

"Yeah." Applejack agreed. "So. How is this gonna work? We're both from entirely different worlds, it'd sure be one heck of a long distance relationship."

"It's okay, Applejack, our worlds are all connected, I'll come back and visit whenever I can."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

They reached for each other's hands and interlocked their fingers, staring into their eyes. Then they heard a commotion behind them; Twilight and the rest of her friends were coming out of the school.

Guess the Fall Formal must be over. Sora thought.

Applejack let go of Sora's hands and stood up, "We should prob'ly say our goodbyes to Twilight."

Sora stood up as well, "Yeah, we should."

The new couple made their way to wish Twilight well, but little does she know that two of her new best friends are in love and are preparing themselves for a relationship that keeps them connected, even when they're worlds away from each other.
