Twilight's Journal

Twilight's Secrets

Here it was. The thing that Rainbow Dash had been hunting for for months on end, the thing that would teach her how to brew the potion which would make her fly faster. She had searched every nook and cranny in Equestria for. Right here in her hooves.

Twilight Sparkle's Journal.

It had a purple leather cover with a huge golden horseshoe embedded in it, as well as sepia bindings and a huge brown buckle. It was very worn; the corners peeling a bit to reveal the cardboard base beneath. Rainbow Dash absentmindedly picked at the flaking corners while she studied every detail on the front. Then, she undid the buckle, lifting it open to reveal a title page written in red pen:Twilight's Diary: No Peeking!

Rainbow Dash guffawed at this; it technically wasn't "peeking" if she actually read it. She flipped to the first entry and started to read.

Dear Diary:
Today, I'm moving to Ponyville. I really don't want to, but Princess Celestia says I have to make some friends. I tried to reason with her; after all, everyone in Ponyville is crazy.

Rainbow raised an eyebrow; this wasn't the speed spell...

Nevertheless, she kept reading.

Princess Celestia said that everyone there is very nice, and that I will enjoy it there. I didn't believe her.
But, here I am in Ponyville, and my opinion has been confirmed. As soon as I got there, a pink Earth pony came up to me, gasping like a mule, and running away. Then, I was ambushed by a million Earth ponies that all loved apples. Next, a Pegasus with rainbow hair knocked me into a mud puddle, stomped on a raincloud above my head, and then sucked me into a tornado, giving me a bad-as-hay hairdo. Then, a cream Unicorn had me try a million different hairstyles and ugly dresses until she picked a particularily thick one that made me look fat. Luckily, I escaped, but then I had to face a yellow Pegasus who wouldn't so much as look at me. To sum it all up, my day sucked hay.

Rainbow Dash read this and reread it, taking it all in. It didn't make sense. Why was she her "friend" if she hated her?
She then flipped near to the end and read a random one there:

Dear Diary,
Today, I became an Alicorn, thanks to the dumbbuck Celestia. Now, I can laugh in everypony's faces, for I can fly as well as perform spells now.

Rainbow Dash felt betrayed by her so called best friend. Why would she ever write something like this? She then flipped to the latest entry, which Dash saw was today.

Dear Diary,
Soarin' and I are gonna have some fun in bed tonight ;)
Screw my virginity. I don't give a buck.
See you then, diary!

Dash gaped at this, eyes popping.

Soarin? What?? Twi knew that Soarin was MY crush!

Her so called two timing fake bestie was going to...
Oh buck.

Rainbow Dash seriously needed to figure out what the hay was going on right now. Her best friend wasn't her best friend, and her best friend that wasn't her best friend was going to do stuff that her best friend that wasn't her best friend any longer would never do in a million years, even with her best friend.

Just that sentence clouded up Rainbow Dash's mind. Ugh.

Well, first things first: Rainbow Dash needed some coffee. She flew over to the coffee shop and gave up 2 bits for a nice, dark, espresso. She sipped it, savoring the flavor. All of a sudden, two figures flew past her at lightning speed. She glanced up and saw that one was purple and the other white. Twilight and Soarin.

She spit out the perfect coffee and left it on the table as she dashed (hence her name) after them. She followed them all the way through the Everfree Forest to the Castle of the Two Sisters. They descended into the courtyard into the middle; Dash lurked by the entrance. She saw them walk into a door to the right, and Dash snuck through the undergrowth until she was right next to their room. The walls had no insulation, and they were only about a foot thick, so Dash could hear everything that was going on inside. She shivered and gulped. Was her so called friend really doing something as crazy as this?!

She took a deep breath and peered through a small crack in the wall, getting a clear view of Soarin's --
Rainbow Dash made the "wtf" face and almost stepped back, but she had a feeling she needed to stay there, no matter how bad the view was. She watched as her once-upon-a-time bestie layed down on the small bed in there, wearing nothing but striped stockings that came up to her hips. Soarin then spread out her legs and --

UGH. She couldn't watch. Rainbow Dash had just realized that she was an all-out pervert right now. She silently facehoofed and reminded herself that she was only doing this for her fake friend's own good. She took a deep breath and peered through the crack again, being greeted with the same "wonderful" sight as before. She felt like throwing up as she heard moans and squelching sounds.

Alright, that's it. She decided as she heard them begin another round.

"Hey!" She shouted as she flew up above the two.

They both saw her and immediately turned bright red. Twi whispered something into Soarin's ear and he nodded as he simply lay down next to her, both of them still fully undressed. Rainbow Dash tried to focus on his face as she flew down next to the pair.

"Twi... I have some questions for you." She said sternly, shifting her gaze to her face.

The alicorn nodded. "I'll be right back," she whispered to Soarin as she stood up and trotted behind me to the courtyard.

Once we reached a bench near the back, I turned towards her.

"What the buck, Twi!" I exploded, my face turning red.

"First, WHAT were you thinking with Soarin, and WHAT is this?" I spit as I tossed her her journal.

"Oh, this!" She giggled drunkenly as she flipped through the pages. "Yeah, I wrote this when I was really bored. I wanted to see how it felt to write as if we weren't friends." She explained with a rather high pitched voice.

I felt my heart slow down; that's it? She wrote that when she was bored?!

"Bro, were you drunk?!" I demanded.

"Eh, might've been," she said.

I facehoofed. "Twi... You're gonna pay for this."

"Okay, you can sleep with Soarin tonight if you want. He won't mind." Twilight said, looking up at me with slightly crossed eyes.

I sat silent for a moment, pondering this. Of course, I wanted to, but...
Eh. Whatever.

"Sure," I said nonchalantly.

"Alright, he's still in there waiting... I'll just go home and write in my journal." She said as her horn flared, teleporting her away.

The speed spell. Her journal.

Buck it.
