Chapter Two : Meeting In Secret
"Whats this?" said Crystal Note to herself. "A Note?" she wondered out loud as she read it. "Painted Picture? He wants to meet me?" she said once she finished reading the note. "I wonder... What he wants to tell me. I'm writing back to him." she said, as she went upstairs and sat in front of her mirror. She wrote as she said it out loud. "Dear Painted Picture, I think I know what you want to say, but yes i will still go. Also, yes I love you too. With Love, Crystal Note." she finished.
"Crystal Note? Who are you talking to?" shouted mom up the stairs.
"Ugh... Somepony is on the phone with me!" she lied to her mum.
"Okay, then." mom replied unsurely.
"Okay, I'm going out to deliver some mail, I'll be back soon!" she told her mom as she went out the front door.
She walked around the bell tower, through the park, and past the Sugarcube Corner. She decided she would send a little treat along with the letter, so she picked up two heart-shaped mini slices of cheese cake. One for him, and one for his mom. She told Pinkie to put them in a box, wrapped with Romantic gift wrapping. After that, she dropped it all off at the post office.
Two Days Later...
"Hello! I was waiting for you. Oh, and I got your message..." said Painted Picture as his voice trailed away. "That's not exactly what I was going to tell you... I was going to tell you that when you left my stand a while back you forgot your purchases..." Painted Picture made up on the spot.
"Oh." said Crystal Note, disappointed.
"But you know... I LOVE YOU TOO!" he shouted as he couldn't hold it in. He blushed.
"That's what I thought." said Crystal Note starting to giggle and blush. "Well... I was wondering... Maybe we could be like... A Thing? Like you, and me. Together." said Crystal Note releasing her thoughts to Painted Picture.
"Well... Back where I used to live, Las Pegasus, your mate was chosen... when I was a little filly. And, well, your not... Your not my destiny!" he replied as his ears drooped down. "I'm stuck with... Derpy." he said looking scared. "If we even get started, we will be sad, I'll have to break up and marry Derpy Hooves." he added.
"Oh. Then... then... Then I guess this is bye. Good bye." she said as her ears drooped down.
"Good bye." he replied slowly flying away, and not looking up.
When Crystal Note Got Home...
"Hi mom..." Crystal Note grumbled.
"Whats the matter, sweetie?" mom replied, surprised at the tone of her voice.
"NOTHING!" she shouted in reply as she sobbed and ran up the stairs into her room and slammed the door behind her. She sat there for the next day or two until...
*RING*RING*
"What is it now?" Crystal Note said to herself. *GASP* "It's Painted Picture!" she yelled in excitement as she picked up her phone.
"Hello? Painted Picture?" asked Crystal Note.
"Crystal Note! I missed you so much! I really love you, and care for you, it's just too much for me to handle! Just please, one date. Just a friendly dinner at a fancy restaurant! Please?" he begged on the phone.
"Of course! Tomorrow, see you there!" said Crystal Note as she hung up. She clapped her hooves in excitement. She was going on a date with Painted Picture.
