The Pony

"Where are we headed?" I asked Twilight as we stepped out of her tree. I figured its best I not question the psychopath about her choice in real estate.
"We are headed to the train station to ride to Canterlot." She explained.
"Can't you just flash us there?" Rainbow asked.
"Sure, but riding the train is fun, and as you said, she's probably booked, we have time to blow."
I stoppedd walking for a moment to look at the town, the two mares didn't notice and continued talking.
Hey, Fluttershy you there?
"Barely." It sounded as though she just woke up.
You tired?
"I was napping, why?"
Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.
"No, no, it's fine" She yawned and I felt her try to stretch. "So what did I miss?"
Not much, just small stupid arguments and the fact that we're going to the princess.
"That's all? Wait, what?"
Yeah, and when did you go to sleep? Weren't we talking like five minutes ago?
"I don't know really, but where did you say we were going?"
The princess, why?"
"Oh great, it can't be good if Twilight wants us to go to her."
Relax, she's probably going to hug me and send me away with a gift basket or something.
"Look, you may think this place is all nice and sweet, but Celestia is a total nutjob, she sent her sister to the moon! TO THE MOOOOOON!!"
What? But, look, that pony over there just dropped her groceries and three others gave her money for replacement groceries. I saw Twilight's semi-twisted side, but can it really get worse?
"Well, I guess Luna did kind of turn evil. Anyways, you should probably get going, Twi and Rainbow are almost gone and they haven't realized you aren't with them."
Huh? I looked down the street and saw two pony shaped outlines in the distance. "Hey! Wait for me!" I shouted at them as I ran after them. After a minute or so of running, I caught up to the two ponies, Twilight giggled at their own foolishness.
"We oughta keep a closer eye on him." Rainbow said.
"Relax, he came back to us, he's probably frightened, wouldn't you be? Dumped in a strange world where everything is different, not knowing any thing about the native species or customs. He barely knows us, yet he still preferred to be with us than without, he trusts us, I'm not so worried."
"You're pretty laid back." I interjected. "For being only a few minutes past being a psychopath."
"Psh, being crazy is just a past time." She joked. "Besides, that was like an hour ago."
An hour, I swear it's been ten minutes max.
"Maybe time travels faster when we're talking?"
Maybe. But, if we can manipulate time like that, can we slow time by ignoring each other?
"I dunno, but we better not mess with the space time continuum, Twilight yelled at me last time."
Our conversation on time affectation was cut short when Twilight shoved me.
"C'mon slow poke, we'll miss the train if you keep lolligaggin like that." Twilight said as she corralled me down the street. "Then we'll have to wait another three hours for the next train."
"Oh, sorry." I picked up my walking pace to a faster trot. "Although if we did miss the train I'm sure I could wait."
"The patient kind huh?"
"You could say that." I trotted past Rainbow Dash, who obviously didn't wait for me to catch up. "Hurry up!" I shouted at her, Twilight short behind. She returned my comment with a threatening glare.
"Trust me, we won't have to worry about losing her." Twilight said.
"Why's that?"
"You'll see soon enough."
Seconds later, a pegasus floated by, flying upside down, making it obvious that she wasn't trying. "Who's slow now?" She taunted me.
"Is that a challenge?" I asked.
"Not for me!" She scoffed and went a little faster.
Twilight facehoofed. "Oh Celestia."
I picked up my pace and started running, I quickly passed Rainbow. She rolled over and flapped her wings harder, she was once again in the lead. I matched pace with her then pushed myself a little harder. Rainbow zipped past, clearly determined not to be beat. I caught up to her and kept pace. I felt the wind go through my main and coat. I couldn't keep myself from breathing heavily now. Then I saw it, the train station was on the horizon. Rainbow saw it too and picked up her pace a bit to ensure she'd win the race. I couldn't let her. I pushed as hard as I could and did a full sprint. My legs screamed to stop, but I couldn't. Why does this race mean so much to me? I didn't know, it just did. The second we got to the station, I stopped, and fell on the ground, exhausted.
"Who, won, Twilight?" Rainbow asked between her breaths.
"I did of course, you can't outspeed instant teleportation." The pony answered matter of factly.
"Out, of, us, two."
"I'm not so sure, I think you were just ahead." She said. Twilight dropped a train ticket on the limp pony and walked over to where I was resting. She put her head right up to my ear. "Don't tell her this, but you won." She whispered. She gave me my ticket then winked as she sat down next to me. A newspaper materialized and she began reading it.
"Nopony, beats me, in a, race." Rainbow said. She layed her head down and shot me a smug look as she recovered from the exhaustion.
"Don't do it." Twilight whispered.
Fluttershy, did you see that? I beat her!
"I saw, that was amazing, I'm sure that was her first loss ever! There's no way I could've done that!"
Awesome.
"The train is here. You better get on."
Thanks! I jumped onto my hooves and trotted over to the train happily, I stopped just before stepping on and looked at it in a state of raw confusion. "This is the train?" I asked nobody on particular.
"Sure is pally." An orange pony said as he hopped onto tr platform. By his hat, I figured he was the conductor, or at least high up in position for operation of the thing. "You getting on? I'll need your ticket." His voice was stereotypical and quite bothersome, I handed the ticket to him anyways. Or is it hoofed? Who cares. I did it. He gave it back with a smile. "Enjoy your ride."
"Thanks." I jumped onto the train and walked in. I plopped down on a random bench and waved Twilight down when she and Rainbow got on. They came over and sat on the bench facing mine. "Whats up with this train?" I asked Twilight quietly.
"What do you mean?"
"It looks like a rainbow had fucktuplets with a cupcake."
"Oh boy, this'll be a long trip."

"Attention passengers, we'll be arriving at Canterlot in one minute. Please gather your things and prepare to leave if this is your stop." An intercom buzzed.
"Thats us." Twilight said.
We waited for the train to stop then got off. I looked around at the lustrous city.
"This is amazing." I said. "This can't possibly be the same world as that little village we were just at."
"First time in a big city?" Asked a pony who walked up from behind.
"You could say that." I looked around for Twilight and Rainbow. Both of which seemed to have vanished in a small crowd of ponies.
"It's ok, you'll get used to it." I looked at the pony closely. Her build was similar to most ponies I've seen so far. Her coat was white and she had a dark blue mane and tail. Her mane was long, but cut into segments kind of like an anime hero. She didn't have wings, though she did have a horn.
"Who are you?" I asked, frightened and curious. I walked towards a fountain just outside the station, just in case she was going to murder me.
"My name is Elise, you?"
"Derick." She stayed right by my side, refusing to leave.
"That's a strange name." She mumbled. She glanced over her back at a pony dressed as a cop. She quickly looked back and pressed her face into mine. I stood there, confused.
"What the hell?" I asked, trying not to shout. I'm sure thats the closest this place has ever gone to rape.
"PDA makes ponies uncomfortable and they look away unintentionally.
"Yeah, so?"
"I'll explain the next time we meet, goodbye." Without turning, she walked backwards towards the police pony and backflipped over him, out of sight, completely unnoticed.
"I don't know whats more disturbing, the fact that she nearly made out with somepony she just met, or the fact that both were clearly female."
Is every pony off their rocker in this place?
"Not that I remember."
"Fluttershy!" Twilight shouted then ran over to me. She hugged me and whispered. "Derick, this is a large town, people know our names, just pretend you're Fluttershy and avoid any verbal contact if possible."
"Gotcha Twi." I said, shoving her off of me.
"So who was that? Is she your secret crush? Ooh she's your marefriend isn't she?" Twilight pestered.
"I don't know, but its nothing like that."
"Then why did you make out? Oooh I'm telling everypony!"
"Isn't there a princess we should be talking to?" I said to avoid the topic.
"Goodness, you're right! To the castle!" Twilight started walking towards the town center.
Rainbow floated down to me. "Dude, I saw that." She laughed and then joined us as we went to the castle.
