//------------------------------// // The Truth // Story: The Truth // by Cheshire Grinn //------------------------------// "I am so excited!" Tia said from where she stood at the mirror getting ready for bed. "Our first night together!" But Luna had different emotions about her. She stared down at the book that told the tale of Nightmare Moon as if decoding hieroglyphics. There seemed to be a lie in every syllable in the book, as if the story was just a cover up so nobody could find out the truth.., if there was one. But her sister had told Luna the backstory , and what Tia says is true. But Tia saw the look on her sisters face as she looked through the words again. "Luna.... What that book says, what I said.... Is fake and untrue." She watched the shock on her sisters face and huddled up close to Luna. "It happened one night...." There was something called the miasma, a dark cloud made of stars that went through different dimensions corrupting the souls of those who had hate or jealousy within them. Luna was going out to raise the moon one night. " And remember to do the stars and make the moon full tonight!" Celestia reminded her sister. But Luna angrily replied "Tia, I am not a foal anymore! I can take care of myself!" Tia was hurt, but walked off into her room to sleep. Luna flew out into the sky. As she raised the moon, the Miasma came to her. She noticed the miasma a second too late as it began to take control of her. Meanwhile, Tia sensed the danger and shouted her sister's name out. As Celestia dashed to the rescue, Luna was slowly covered. Tia used all her might to pierce the darkness without harming her almost-engulfed sister. But the Miasma seemed now more powerful, and Tia flew away as Nightmare Moon laughed from afar. "Bathtiiiiime!" A servant interrupted from the doorway. "Oh great! I've felt dirty all day!" Tia cheered and cantered over. "Tia? Tia, come back! Tia!!" Luna had no choice but to angrily follow. As they slipped into the warm waters, Tia looked over at her grumpy sister and was reminded of the story that was being told. As was being stated before, Nightmare Moon laughed cruelly from above. Tia felt she had no other choice but to battle the creature. She asked her parents for help on what the beast was and learned if the Miasma. She was also told only the strongest beams of love and harmony could stop the creature. Celestia was instantly hard at work. She sleeked out where the creature was and forged the Elements if Harmony, all the while thinking of Luna helping besides her. She hunted down the most truest souls who would best fit each Element. Finally, it was the final battle. She appeared at the castle ruins. She was armed with six other ponies, each one bearing an Element. The creature let out a laugh. " I've already beaten you once fool! What good will some fancy dress up necklaces and six little companions going to do?" It laughed again. Tia knew the creature was wrong as it said. "Oh, fine! I'm in the mood to blast a creature apart!" But as her magic gained up, the Elements glowed and the magic rained into my horn and Tia blasted it with a thick rainbow. A rainbow explosion covered the land as Tia began her duel. She flung herself at the creature , my parents somehow appearing besides me. She saw Luna look at her suddenly, asking why she was hurting her... Tia backed away, her parents telling her the force was far enough. Her wing was twisted and rumpled, and she fell down from the moon. She cried out Luna's name as she fell back down to Earth. It wouldn't be for another thousand years that her sister would be seen..,, The story was over. Luna looked at Tia with tears in her eyes. The two stayed in their room hugging eachother. Finally it was time for bed. Luna bounced on her new bed , which was much more comfortable than her bed before Nightmares rise. As Tia closed her eyes, Luna called out the Sun Princess's name. "Yes Luna?" Tia wondered. "Could I sleep with you tonight?" It was shock to Tia, but she quickly accepted. The two curled up, their horns crossed in harmony. It was one if the first times they had made contact with eachother happily for a very long time. Ever since, the world was completely in harmony. They dreamt all throughout the night of eachother happily playing in peace. And everybody was happier than ever before, most if all the two sisters who almost never parted.
