Rarity and Ah have absolutely nothing in common..

..so why do Ah have these feelings for the elegant mare?  Perhaps it's her generous spirit?  I really do admire that.  Maybe it's because of how much she trusts me.  I see Rarity galloping over happily.  It looks like she had just won the lottery or somethin'.

"Hello,  Applejack!"

"Hey,  Rarity.  Did something exciting happen or somethin'?"
Ah ask.  Rarity just simply giggles and gently shakes her head.

"No,  I'm just happy to see you!"

Rarity exclaims.  I can feel my cheeks flaming from within.  

Do Ah really make her that happy?

"Hey Rares...how do you get somepony to...ya know...like you?"
Rarity looks shocked by what I had just said,  but then smirks.

"Why..?  Do you like somepony,  Applejack?"  
She asks playfully.  Ah feel my cheeks burn up even more.  I know it must be weird to hear that a tomboyish athlete has a crush on somepony...especially somepony like Rarity.  What do I tell her?  I can't tell her that Ah like her.  That'd be just awkward.

"..No.  Jus' curious." 
Ah say,  praying that Rarity will believe me,  even though she always does anyway. Rarity simply smiles in understanding.  

"Alright...you have to be trustworthy,  understanding,  generous,  and kind."

Rarity explains.  To me,  it just sounds like she's describing herself.  How she's perfect in everyway,  at least to me.
