Earth's Vanguards house in Ponyville...
It has been a couple of day's since Aichi and his friends arrived in Equestria, the days have been really fun for him. He has meet a lot of new ponies and they have been friendly towards him and his friends. Though he hasn't played that much Vanguard since he arrived.
He still played, but not very much. He plays at least one game against Kai every day, they both enjoyed it a lot. Aichi was sitting on his bed in his room staring at his deck thinking of how he could improve his deck, 'I just don't know what else I can do to strengthen my deck. I wonder how my friends are improving their decks?'
Ride 007:Ren's Surprise, Booster Equestria
Aichi walked out of his room downstairs to see Kai sitting on the couch reading his book. He was relaxed and focused, Aichi really didn't want to disturb him at all. "Hey Kai, can I ask you something?" Aichi asked, nervous about the response.
"Sure, what do you need" answered Kai relaxed and putting his book down.
"Oh, well, a I need help improving my deck, I have already done all I can, but I feel like I can improve it still" said Aichi.
"Well if you've done all you can, you've done all you can. I can't really tell you how to improve your deck" answered Kai.
"But Kai, I still feel like I can improve this deck" pleaded Aichi.
"Aichi, your decks fine, don't worry about it" said Kai.
"Fine" said Aichi depressed a little knowing he did not get his answer.
Aichi was about to walk upstairs to ask Leon for help on his dilemma, when he and everypony in the house heard a knocking on the door. Aichi went to check who was it knocking, he opened the door to his surprise to see a pony in a blue uniform and brown saddle bag. "Hi, how can I help you?" Aichi asked.
"I have a package here for somepony named Ren Suzugamori" the pony said pulling a decently big box out of his saddle bag.
'Mail, for Ren, I wonder what it could be?' Aichi thought looking at the package, but then he heard something come down the stair in their house to the front door.
"Yes, yes, yes, it's finally here" said Ren said excited at the package.
'Ren?' Aichi thought, wondering what's happening.
"Are you Mr. Suzugamori?" the delivery pony asked.
"Why yes I am" Ren answered.
"Well here's is your package" the mail pony said pushing the box forward with his head. "I just need you to sign here", he said showing the two a clipboard with a piece paper attached.
"Okay" Ren said signing the pieces with a quail provide and returning the the clipboard, "done."
"Thank you, I hope you enjoy your package and have a good day" the pony said walking away.
"We will" Aichi said for Ren who rushed the box inside.
Aichi went inside to see that Ren has placed the box on top of the coffee table in front of the couch, where Kai was reading. Ren opened the box up and they teared through the inside looking for something, while Kai watch in angry as he has been disturb out of reading. "Ren, what did you do?" Kai asked mad at Ren, with the gray stallion not answering and continue what he was doing.
"What is in the package Ren?" Aichi asked with Ren again not responding.
"What is Ren doing?" Leon asked walking down the stairs to see what's happening.
"Yes, their finally here" said Ren pulling out a box from with the box and raising it in the air.
The box was the colored red, yellow, and blue on one side and blue, white, and green stripes on the other. The red side was split into triangles in black outlines, with the other side having a giant sun imprinted on it. On the top side of the box it silver words on it reading something, "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Booster Equestria Set 1".
"Ren what is tha- wait is that vanguard booster set?" Aichi confused at what he was looking at.
"Yes it is" answer Ren excited.
"But how did-" Aichi was cut off.
"Ren what did you do?" Kai asked in anger.
"Well remember when we where in Cantorlot when we first got here?" Ren asked, with them all nodding their heads.
"Well, remember when I went looking for a bathroom there?" Ren asked
"Yes" answered Kai, getting ready to explode out of anger.
"Can I ask something Ren? But what does this have to with booster packs you have?" Aichi asked.
"I'm getting there, well on my way back I ran into this really fancy looking pony" Ren remembering the meeting. "He noticed my business skill and my deck. He asked what it was and I explain it to him. Then I mention it was very popular where we came from and he then offered me a business proposition. I provide him with the information on how to make cards and he would sell them around this world. So now here are the prototypes he sent me, I'm supposed to see if their any good."
"Uh, way to go Ren, I really hope this going to cause use problems in the future" said Kai sinking back into the couch.
"Don't worry about it Kai, I'm sure nothing but good can come from this" replied Ren, in a good mood.
"Ren can I ask you something?" Aichi asked.
"What" answered Ren.
"Why does half the box look like the United Sanctuary Nation flag and the other the Dragon Empire flag?" Aichi asked, wonder about the odd design.
"Well, the first set only excludes clans from these two nations, obviously" answered Ren.
"Oh, so does that mean their are Royal Paladin cards inside this set?" Aichi asked desperately wanting to know.
"Why yes" answered Ren.
That's great, I have been thinking of reworking my deck, so this is perfect" said Aichi reaching for a pack.
Before the blue stallion could grab the box to get a booster pack out he was stopped by a gray hoof to his face. Aichi fell down from it but got right back realizing that it was Ren's hoof that knocked him down. "Ren why would you do that?" Aichi asked weakly.
"Yeah, you see, a this book isn't just the prototype, but also the first book that needs to get sold" Ren pointed out to Aichi.
"What does that mean?" Aichi asked getting worried.
"It mean your going to have to buy them with this worlds currency, what did they call it bit's I believe" answered Ren.
"But I don't have any bit's" squealed Aichi.
"Well I guess no booster pack for you then" replied Ren.
The blue stallion was depressed about this development. 'I can't get any booster packs, how can I improve my deck? What if it's not strong enough to fight Link Joker? What if we fail and it's all because I didn't have strong enough deck?' Aichi questioned himself, before pleading, "Ren, please let me have a booster pack, it could save this world" to Ren multiple times.
"Well, I guess you could get a job and then pay for the packs that way" answered Ren, giving in to Aichi.
"A job, but I don't even know what job are open for me to work" said Aichi nervous.
"When I was looking around town, I saw signs that the Sugar Cube Corner" answered Leon who was now in the kitchen making himself some food, "I believe it would be good for you, Aichi."
"You think so, thanks Leon" said Aichi cheered up a little, "wait doesn't Pinkie Pie work there two?"
"I believe she does" answered Leon.
"That's great, I will able to work with a friend and get money for booster packs" said Aichi excited at the thought.
"Oh it will be so cute to see you two working together" giggled Ren, "anyway I need to stop by that place anyway, so do you want to come with me Aichi?"
"Wait why are you going to the Sugar Cube Corner Ren?" Aichi asked.
"Well I asked Pinkie if I could sell these at her store at the party and she said yes" answered Ren, "well do you want to come or not."
"Yeah, I would love to go" answered Aichi going towards with Ren.
The two ponies walked out the door together leaving only Kai who was still reading and Leon who was just finishing up cooking up his meal. He turned off the oven he was using and walked out of the kitchen with a plate in his mouth full of white rice cover in scramble eggs with bits of chopped up red and green pepper. "So that happened" Leon said after he placed the coffee table.
"Yeah" Kai replied looking at the plate full of food which Leon was now eating in front of him.
"You want any?" Leon asked noticing Kai glancing at his food.
"No, no I'm fine" answered Kai focusing on his book again.
At the Sugar Cube Corner...
Both Ren and Aichi Walked into the the brightly colored building, it wasn't quite as filled as the last time they visited, granted the last time they visited was during a party. Their were only a few ponies in the shop, only talking and having some sweets will they talk. The two stallions approached the counter where a yellow pony with a orange mane and tail that wore a apron and cylinder hat was working.
"Hi there, how can I help?" asked the pony.
"Hi, is Pinkie Pie here, I would like to talk to her?" Ren asked.
"Yeah, she's right behind you" the pony answered.
"What" said a confused Ren.
"Hi, guy's, how's it going?" Asked a familiar pink mare behind them.
"Ahhhhhh" screamed both Aichi and Ren, surprised by Pinkie Pie.
"Ahhhh, to you too" said Pinkie Pie, "so what brings you guys here?"
"Ha, ha" breathed Ren deeply as he and Aichi regained their composure, "well I came down to see if I could sell Vanguard cards here, since I have no were else to sell them?"
"Oh, you mean the cards you guys play with?" Pinkie asked happily.
"Yes" answered Ren.
"Oh, that's so cool" squalled the mare, "okay, but I will have to ask Mr.Cake if you can."
Pinkie went to ask to the front desk were the yellow stallion was working. He was now whipping the desk off when Pinkie approach him. "Mr.Cake would it be okay if I let my friends sell something here?" Pinkie asked Mr.Cake.
"That depends on what they want to sell?" Mr.Cake answered with a question.
"Oh, they want to sell this really cool awesome card game here" answered the mare.
"A..card game, I don't know how I feel about having ponies selling cards in my shop" Mr.Cake replied, rubbing the back of his head with his hoof."
"Oh, pretty please with with cherries on top" Pinkie begged, getting close to Mr.Cake.
"Well, I guess I could let them sell their cards here" the stallion began, "on one condition."
"And what is that?" Ren asked, picking up Mr.Cake attention.
"I get 20% of the profits made" Mr.Cake said.
"Ah, fine, 20% is yours" agreed Ren, depressed, 'I'm never going to get any really profit here like this.'
"Great, you can put that books of cards on that on extra table I'm not using over there" Mr.Cake said, pointing toward the table.
"Yay, you guys can start selling cards here now, oh that means I will get she you guys here now more often, this is going to be great" squalled Pinkie Pie.
The three walked over to the table that they were assigned. Ren put the box in the middle of the table and flipped the top up and slid it into a groove in the inside of the box. To finish it up Ren put a glass jar right next to the box. It was done, the box only contained 50 packs, but they were ready to be opened.
"Well that's finally done, now I wait" said Ren whipping his face off with his hoof.
"I'm so happy for you guys" squalled Pinkie, "so what are you doing here Aichi? Or did you only come to help Ren out?"
"Well actually I came to ask Mr.Cake something" answered Aichi.
"And what's that?" Pinkie asked.
"Well I was wondering if I could get job here?" Aichi asked.
"Oh, that's great, we can work together, and share breaks, and hangout after work" said Pinkie.
"Ah, it's so great to see them grow up, isn't Pinkie?" Ren asked Pinkie Pie
"It sure is" the pink mare said in agreement.
"Well I will go do that now" said Aichi walking towards the yellow stallion.
"Hi, kid, what do you need?" Mr.Cake asked.
"Well, I was wondering if I could work here, you see I need the cash, but I'm a really good worker" said Aichi, getting his words tied.
"Sure, you can work here, we need a new delivery boy away" the yellow stallion answered Aichi plead.
"Thank you so much Mr.Cake" Aichi said with gratitude, "when can I start working?"
"I guess you can start working tomorrow" answer Mr.Cake.
"Okay, I promise I won't let you down" Aichi said walking back to his friends.
'My, my, what a interesting bunch of ponies' thought Mr.Cake looking at the group.
"So did you get the job Aichi?" Pinkie asked.
"Sure did, I start work tomorrow" Aichi answered with a smile.
"That's good, I guess me Aichi can head back now" Ren said preparing to leave.
Just as Ren said that a familiar looking cyan peagus walked into the store. "Hey Pinkie, I need some help with a prank I want" Rainbow said, then she noticing Ren and Aichi and went over to them. "Hey guys what are doing here and what's with the book?"
"Oh, that's just a box full of Vanguard cards, I'm selling them here" answered Ren.
"Wait, so your selling your card game here now?" Dash asked.
"Yep, I think it's great" answered Aichi.
"Okay, cool" said Rainbow Dash.
"So, do you want one?" Ren asked, "you would be my first customer."
"How much for pack?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"3 bit's" answered Ren.
"Eh, why not" Rainbow Dash said pulling out 3 bit's and putting it the jar and taking one pack.
The mare teared the plastic wrapping around the cards to check what she got. It all was basic cards that she didn't even lift a hoof to look at, except the last. "Hm, Brawler, Skybeat Dragon" she said reading the name of the card.
"Huh, you got grade 3 Narukami unit on your first pull, I'm impressed" compliment Ren.
"Wait, what's a Narukami unit?" Rainbow asked.
"Narukami is a clan on cray. They are a elite flight military group, that control the very storms themselves" answered Aichi.
"A elite flight group, so you mean their like the Wonderbolts?" the mare asked.
"I guess so" answered Aichi.
"Wow, that's really cool" said Rainbow Dash.
"I guess we know, what her clan is, right Aichi" commented Ren.
"Yeah" said Aichi in agreement.
"So, me and Aichi must be heading out now, so bye" Ren said waving his hoof and grabbing the back of Aichi coat, and proceed to drag him out, with him.
"Ah, by Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, and Mr.Cake, see you tomorrow" Aichi said as he was being carried out.
And just like that they were both gone. Everypony was still doing what they were doing, but Rainbow Dash waited at the table with the box full of Vanguard cards, as if it was instinct to her. "Ah, those knuckleheads" she said under her breath, but then she noticed the Vanguard cards in her hoof, "Narukami eh, wait hey Pinkie can you help me with a prank I'm trying to pull."

"You didn't need to drag me out, Ren" said Aichi rubbing the back of his next.
"Sorry, but I didn't want anymore interrupting, plus it late" said Ren, yawning.
"Okay, hey what's that, wait a magic show" said Aichi excited.
