	It was around midnight at the library ran by Twilight Sparkle, The youngest Alicorn Princess. As she put books away in the shelves sitting in their rightful place on the shelves. Her horn glowed as a few books came from the last pile flying towards the shelves glowing purple with her magical essence. "...And done...." She said as the last book slipped into its spot. Her horn stopped glowing and she looked to the banister. "Spike! You better be in bed right now!"

A loud groan was heard from upstairs. "Twilight! I'm almost done with my comic!" They called out. "Just let me finish reading it and then I'll go to bed!"

Twilight sighed and extended her wings starting to flap them. "You said that the past few nights Spike but you know how you are when you stay up late!" She said flying up to the banister. Up on the second floor was Spike reading a comic book in his circular bed almost pet like. She landed and approached the bed. "You either go to bed now or you don't read comics for a month!"

The little purple dragon turned the page to his comic and sighed. "Twi you always tell me this!" He said. "It's only a few minutes past my bed time! You don't see me complaining when you're up reading around midnight!"

Twilight used her magic to take away Spike's comic. "That's because you're always asleep when I do that!" She snapped. Spike crossed his arms as the comic book fluttered away towards a nearby desk. "And I can do that because I don't live under a roof that uses someone else's rules! Since I own this place via order of Princess Celestia I make the rules! And one of the rules I have is that YOU go to bed at a certain time every night!" She walked over to the desk and closed the window behind it. "Besides you're a baby dragon! Babies are supposed to sleep at night when put to bed by their parents!"

Spike mumbled something under his breath as he climbed under his covers. Twilight shot him a look that meant 'What did you say?' "I said what makes you think you're my mother?!" He snapped.

Twilight faced him full front shocked. "I say that because I hatched you from an egg!" She said. "You are technically MY son! I used MY magic to get you hatched!" Tears came to her eyes feeling rage build deep down inside her. "...I'm giving you two choices now Spike! You either stay here and listen to me or get out!" The purple alicorn shuttered at the words she had uttered. 

Spike got up from his bed and walked towards the desk. He hopped up and snatched his comic book up nearly crumpling the cover. He pulled out the stool and pulled a box with a stack of comic books in it. He didn't give any look to Twilight as he walked towards the stairs. Twilight followed him slightly until he stopped and looked back giving her a dirty look. She froze in place as he carefully stepped down each step looking around the box. When he reached the bottom floor tears started pouring from her eyes streaming down her cheeks as she watched him from the banister. Spike set his comic book box down near the door and looked up seeing Twilight. He didn't say a word as he turned back towards the door and opened it. He picked the box up and went out into the dark. One last time he set the box of comics down. He poked his head back inside. "YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER!" Spike yelled. He went back out and slammed the door in pure anger.

Twilight started to cry hearing those words. She sat down staring at the door in complete silence. Tears clouded up her vision as she sobbed. She got up and hurried over to the desk. She used her magic to open a drawer taking out a scroll of paper an ink well and a quill. She opened the scroll to where it lay flat on the desk as she opened the ink well and picked the quill up and dipped the tip into it. She continued to write on the paper. 

'Dear Princess Celestia,

Sorry if i woke you but... Spike ran off... He doesn't think of me as his mother.... I'm crying my eyes out as I write this.... Excuse me if you find.... Dried tear marks on this letter... Can you please contact my brother for me...? I need... I need him to help me calm myself.... I need his comfort.... I know he's with Cadence right now but... I... I really need him... Ask Luna if... If she can use her dream walker magic to.... Get him here... I just.... Celestia please... Help me... 

Your faithful... And regretful student.... Twilight....
PS: .... Make Shining hurry...' 

Tears dripped onto the bottom of the scroll as she started to roll it up. She nudged open another drawer and took a ribbon out of it with a pin attached with the letter C on it. She wrapped it around and pinned it keeping the scroll closed as she used her magic to take out a candle and a box of matches setting them both on the desk. She stood up and unlocked the window pushing it open. The match box floated up and opened, A match floated out being held by one end. The red round tip pushed against the rough sided plate on the box and slid across making an audible 'SKTCH, FSHH' as the match sparked up. The now lit match floated to the burnt wick of the candle and the flame collided with it igniting it. The match floated towards Twilight and she blew it out tossing it from the window. She lifted the scroll up and buried her face into her hooves as she burned it. It ignited and blazed away quickly turning into smoke that trailed out the window. 

Just below the window Spike was at an intersection as he carried his box through the dimly lit streets. He was still filled with hate. "...Freaking Twilight... Pretending to be MY mother...." He said to himself. ".... She's no mother... She's a controlling psycho is what she is...." As he walked he wondered where he was going. He considered going to Rarity's Tailor Shop just mere blocks away. He let a sigh. "No use trying to get her to wake up... Beauty sleep is always priority with her at this time...." With that out in the open he thought about going to Applejack over at Sweet Apple Acres. "...Cant go there... Too far for me... Especially with this box..." He then thought of going to either Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash was obviously a no go. Cloud house and he could only reach it with the help of a spell from someone who he just left crying her eyes out. "...Pinkie will make too much noise about it and wake the Cakes.... Fluttershy has Angel and he doesn't really care for me because of that stupid chase they had me on in the Crystal Kingdom..." He looked to the night sky seeing a lot of stars brightening his vision a bit. The moon sat almost dead center in the sky. "Where can I go where someone wont make a big deal about it...?" He asked himself.

"I know where you could go little dragon..." Someone said giving a creepy laugh. The voice was deep. 

Spike froze in place and dropped his box of comics. His eyes darted back and forth from buildings across from each other on the road. "...W-Who's there....?" Spike asked frightened. 

The laugh trailed on a bit. "...Look up SPIKE!" The voice said. Spike hesitantly looked back up at the stars and saw a constellation starting to slither like a snake. It came down in front of spike now forming a 3-D shaped figure. A flash of light and there in front of him stood Discord, The master of Chaos, with the paw of a lion, a wing of a bat and a bird, the hoof of a horse, the claw of a griffon, the leg of a raptor, The head of a horse and the tail of a lizard. Jutting from his head was a deer like antler and a twisted pale blue horn coming from behind his ears. His red pupiled eyes locked onto the little purple dragon in front of him. "... What are you doing out here alone? Aren't you supposed to be at home sleeping? " Discord asked starting to float up a bit. He curled around Spike.

Spike let out a frightened gulp shaking at his sudden appearance. He hesitated on answering. "...W-What's it to y-you?" Spike asked scared. 

Discord playfully let out a false gasp as he lied on the ground kicking back as if he were on a bed with a raised headboard. "You're just a baby little Spike!" He said. "I have to make sure that little Princess Twilight's assistant is alright! What sort of stallion doesn't like babies?" He snapped his claw making a puff of smoke on Spike's face. 

When the smoke cleared Spike found himself wearing a bonnet and a pacifier sat in his mouth. He spit the pacifier onto the ground and threw the bonnet off. "Who's Twilight's assistant?" He asked. "Haven't heard she got a new one since I bolted! She doesn't control me any more!" 

Discord gasped for real this time and poofed himself smaller. Spike looked around and something came to his eye. "Well now! You need somewhere to go to rest!" Discord said stepping onto Spike's nose. "You should come with me! I've built myself a home just outside of Ponyville and It's just so lonely out there!"

Spike scrunched his nose and blew discord out of his vision. "You get out of here!" He snapped picking the box of comics back up. "I never trusted you! Fluttershy tells me to trust you but I'm only listening to what I know! You're nothing but trouble!" 

Discord reappeared in a puff of smoke floating along side Spike as he started walking again. "What's wrong? Your mommy tell you I'm a bad guy like those in your comic books?" The chaotic creature said.

Spike stopped in his tracks and turned his head giving Discord a death stare. "I have no mother!" He snapped. Spike took a deep breath and when he released a fire ball shot out at Discord narrowly missing him as he curled his body away.

Discord growled. "You know little ones aren't supposed to play with fire!" He said floating to the other side of the baby dragon that walk before him. "What do you say we strike a little deal? I promise to leave you alone afterwards if we don't come to an agreement!" 

Spike thought for a moment as he walked with the box still in his arms. He looked to Discord who was flipping through another comic book as he floated. "...Let me hear what you have!" Spike said.

Discord let out a grin setting the comic in the box. "Well..." He started as he kicked back still floating backwards. "...I was thinking... If you stayed with me I could give you as many of the newer comics as you'd like! The princesses always pay me for some of the good deeds I do every now and then and me I can just make food just by snapping my claws! That comic I gave you is the new Power Ponies comic!"

Spike stopped and set the box down looking at the comic book on top. He picked it up and looked at the cover. The large title read 'The Power Ponies versus: THE TANGLER!' Spike flipped it open and started reading it. "This is impossible... This issue doesn't come out for a few weeks!" He said. He set the comic down and looked to Discord who was looking at a crazy looking pocket watch where one of the hands was nearly at a right angle. "How did you get this Discord?"

Discord gave a smile and closed he pocket watch somehow making it disappear into thin air. "Well lets just say Celestia introduced me to the creator and promised me a new issue each month." He said. "I don't care for the things because the villain always loses and because the way I have fun doesn't compare to these!" He curled to where his head was just on Spike's shoulder. "So little one what do you say?"

Spike thought for a moment. He looked at the new comic given to him. Then he turned back to peek over Discord's floating body at the home he had just left. The lights were still on and Twilight could be seen holding a raggedy stuffed animal while she cried. He sighed and looked to Discord. "Okay. Deal." He said putting his claw out. Discord gave a warm but foreboding smile shaking the little dragon's claw. "You think you can help me carry the comics then Discord? I can barely see where I was going with that."

Discord gave a friendly smile and snapped his claw making Spike disappear and reappear on his back. Discord picked up the box and looked back at Spike. "Of course little Spikey!" He said. "Anything for a new roomie!" They both started laughing as they started flying towards the outskirts of Ponyville. 

Hours later Twilight was shivering snuggled up with her toy as she sipped some coffee trying to keep herself awake. She looked to her toy and sniffled. "...M-Mr. Smart-typants... Where did I g-go wrong....?" Twilight asked it. "...All... All I wanted was for him to go to b-bed.... was that too much to ask...?" The stuffed toy slumped over in her arms. She hugged Mr. Smartypants again sniffling even more. Again she sipped her coffee from a mug. It felt lukewarm sliding down her throat. Her cold throat that uttered the words causing her assistant to leave. "...I... I wish you could talk Mr. Smartypants... I need someone... I cant tell if Celestia wrote back.... Spike always told me...." She sniffled mumbling the last of the sentence.

She sobbed a bit more and a muffled sound made her ear twitch. She looked up and stared at her stuffed toy again. Her ear twitched again hearing the solid thunk of someone knocking on the door down stairs. The muffled sound of someone yelling out to Twilight came to almost being heard. Twilight sniffled and set her coffee down along  with her toy. She got up and carefully stepped down the stairs not even wanting to use her wings. A voice became more clear as she neared the door. "Twily! Twily you okay in there?" A stallion said. It was her brother Shining Armor.

"Maybe she fell asleep at her desk again Shining!" A mare said. That was Princess Cadence, her sister in law and her old foal sitter. "Do you want me to go tap on the window?"

Twilight slowed her steps and put her ear up to the door hearing her brother sigh. "Not just yet Cadie." Shining said. Twilight took her ear away from the door as her brother started to knock again.

Twilight took an almost silent deep breath and hesitantly reached for the knob. She grasped the knob and whimpered tearing up a bit more. Suddenly she threw the door open and pounced on her white unicorn brother and pink alicorn sister in law breaking down crying again. "SHINING!" She yelled through her tears burying her face into his neck.

The blue maned unicorn hugged her and shushed her as Cadence pried Twilight off her so shining could lift her onto his back. "Twily please calm down!" Shining said going inside after his wife. Cadence closed the door as Shining set hoof on the stairs with his sister bawling into his back. 

Cadence followed Shining up stairs where he lied Twilight down on her bed and sat with her shushing her. "We're so sorry we couldn't come sooner Twilight!" The pink alicorn said. "We were completely out of it when one of Celestia's Pegasus guards nearly broke that framed picture of our wedding!"

Shining looked to his wife. "Cadie can you help me calm her down? Please sweetie?" He asked. Cadence nodded and her horn started to glow. It was a light blue glow. A heart started forming at the tip of her horn. It grew to the size of a package of toaster pastries and broke off starting to float over Shining. It floated down to the crying purple alicorn's head and popped shrouding her in a pink mist. The crying softened almost to the point of stopping. Shining picked his sister up off the bed and sat her up hugging her. "You okay Twilight?" Twilight sniffled and nodded. "Alright sis what happened? And please tell us in a way you wont cry again!"

Twilight brought her head up and sniffled. "...S...Spike...." She hesitantly said. "He... He just... ran off after I t-told him to go to bed.... He grabbed all of his comics and left...." She shuttered a bit.

Cadence sat on the other side of Twilight. "Is there anything else?" She asked. Twilight nodded and whimpered blushing. "You want me to get you some tea to help ease your tensed nerves?" Twilight nodded again.

She sniffled and pointed towards the stairs. "...D-down stairs... The kitchen is through a door just under the stairs..." She said. "...Get some snacks please... I already puked a few times...."

Cadence nodded and got up from the bed. "A cup of tea and a few saltine crackers! I'm on it!" She said.

Twilight sniffled and lied back down. Her brother got behind her and spooned with her. "...How long have you been waiting for us Twi...?" Shining asked. She sniffled and shrugged. "Too long I take it.. It's okay Twily big brother's here now..." He nuzzled her a bit. "...You have nothing to worry about... Me and Cadence will be right here for the night and  I'll go out tomorrow to look for Spike okay? I'll get him to come back whether he wants to or not!" Twilight smiled and flipped over. Shining nuzzled her as Cadence came from the stairs with a long grey plastic package in her magic and a tray with two tea cups sitting on it. She gripped the tray in her teeth. Shining cleared a spot on the nightstand next to the bed by taking a small book stack of three books off with his magic and setting them on the floor for his wife to put the tray down and balance it. She set the package down on the tray and one end of it popped open.

As Cadence sat back down on the bed next to her sister in law. Twilight used her magic to pick up a tea cup bringing it to her lips. She sipped the warm tea as Shining brought a few crackers from their grey packaging and ate them. "There we are Twilight.... You doing any better?" Cadence asked. Twilight nodded and took a few crackers for herself. "...Can you at least tell us what made him do that? Just asking him to go to bed isn't a justified reason to run off like that!"

Twilight sighed and looked to her brother. And then at Cadence. "...Well..." She started. "...He and I got into an argument... I told him to go to sleep... He disobeyed me and kept reading his damn comic... I took the comic and he lashed out at me saying I wasn't his mother.... I know I'm not biologically but... I raised him for a long time... Like he was my son..." Tears started to form in her eyes. "...I used my magic to hatch his egg.... ...He... He just took all the time we spent together and..... Just ruined it with four words.... 'you aren't my mother...'" She sniffled sipping her tea again.

Shining hugged her again eating another cracker. "I cant believe he said that to you!" Cadence said. "Even though you aren't related by blood you so are his mother for hatching him from the egg! I am on your side with this Twilight! If I had a son that we adopted I'd love him no matter what!" She looked to Shining. "Isn't that right Shiny baby?"

Shining blushed a bit still eating a few crackers. "...Y-Yeah honey but we should probably get to bed..." He said. "Got a big day on lookin for a missing baby dragon!" He got up and stretched trying not to seem nervous. "You two get the bed, I'll sleep on the floor!"

Cadence gave her husband a death stare setting her tea cup and her sister in laws tea cup down on the tray again. "You aren't hiding something from me are you Shining?" She asked as she lied Twilight down. "You either fess up right now or I force it out of you! You do know how I can do that cant you?" She continued to stare her husband down now seeing him starting to sweat. "....Well Shining? It's your choice! Either you save your flank by telling me or do I have to get a few of the guard's to tear that ass apart again?"

Shining whimpered a bit biting his lip. Twilight propped herself up and yawned a bit looking at her brother. The white unicorn's eyes darted back and forth between his wife and his sister. His wife's death stare didn't help even with his sisters tear covered cheeks, and her worried expression. "FINE! You got me!" He snapped clenching his eyes shut. "I was under that stupid spell you put me under when I'm not in the mood! I went to Celestia the next day and she blew me like I was almost forcing her! I'd NEVER force a princess to do that! Not you! Not Celestia, Not Luna NOT EVEN TWILY! YOU MADE ME FEEL LIKE A WHORE CADIE!" He started to breathe heavily as tears came to his eyes. He opened his eyes and saw his wife with a pissed off look. "...I... I'm sorry...."

Cadence growled getting up. She pushed Shining towards the stairs. "You're sleeping DOWNSTAIRS!" The Pink Princess snapped. "I swear if I see you up here after I wake up you pray to Celestia that your ass doesn't need a doctor! NOW GO!" She pushed him just feet from the stairs making him stumble a bit. Shining caught himself on the side railing and hurried down the stairs sniffling. Cadence turned back to Twilight who was nearly asleep. "Sorry Twi I'm only nice to him when you or kids are around."

Twilight yawned and scooted back on the bed allowing Cadence to sit and lie next to her. "...I understand..." She said sluggishly. Cadence used her magic and clicked off the lights now leaving the whole place dark. Twilight climbed under her covers with Cadence and nuzzled her before passing out.

The next morning Twilight was the first one to wake up. Her bladder ached as she lied in the bed. It was so bad she couldn't move. She lied there and closed her eyes again starting to shift like she was having a nightmare. She knocked into Cadence waking her up Cadence snorted and quickly propped herself up hearing her sisters whimpers. She carefully got up from the bed and made her way to the banister. Before she even got to the banister she heard Twilight starting to cry with a hissing sound. She looked back and saw a stain on the sheets where she had been lying. Cadence quickly turned back to the banister and looked over a bit panicked. "Shining! Shining where are you!?" She said loudly. "SHINING!"

A groan was heard from downstairs. Then a yawn. "...What now Cadie....? I was asleep...." Shining said coming out from under the banister looking tired with his mane a mess. 

Cadence hopped from the banister and  used her wings to float down. She landed next to Shining and started pushing him towards the stairs. "Shining you get up there! Twilight is having a nightmare and she just wet her bed!" She snapped. Shining perked up and started to run up the stairs. Cadence followed him closely. At the top of the steps Cadence ran around the bed and helped Twilight out of it. She hugged her as Shining quickly stripped the bed of her sheets. "There there Twi.... Don't cry..... Shh....."

"I WANT SPIKE BACK!" Twilight yelled through her tears. She buried her head into Cadence's shoulder as her brother used his magic to set aside the wet bedding and using his strength to flip the mattress. 

Shining hopped down next to his sister after setting the mattress down. He hugged his wife and sister. "Aww cmon Twily please don't cry!" He said calming her. He continued shushing her. "You're okay... Big brother has you..." He looked to Cadence who was still shushing her. "Cadie you calm her down and get her washed up. I'm gonna go look for Spike."

Cadence looked at her husband and nodded. "You be quick! I'll try and get Celestia here to see if we can get her mind off you-know-who!" She said. "She used to watch Twilight when I couldn't right?" Shining nodded and gave her a quick kiss before darting for the stairs.

Once outside he ran down the road away from his sisters place. He thought where Spike would be. "First stop: Rarity's place!" He said to himself. He darted quickly in between ponies yelling "Excuse me" as he passed them. He darted around corners and flashed his way onto rooftops to get away from the other ponies in his way. With his destination now in sight he hopped from the roof and slammed onto the ground. He rolled a bit and got back to his hooves hurrying towards a large white home with a pink roof. He skidded to a stop in front of the door and knocked panting tired. "...Curse my training... Always doing that stuff..." He said to himself.

He waited a few moments before knocking on the door again. Hooves could now be heard on the other side of the door. The door opened and there stood Rarity Belle. A beautiful white unicorn mare with a curled purple mane and tail. Three diamonds sat on her flank. "Shining Armor?" She said. "What are you doing here darling? Shouldn't you be with Princess Cadence?" Shining wheezed and shook his head. "You sound like you've been yelling! Do you need something to drink?" Shining nodded and pushed his way inside.

As Rarity closed the door she took the tired stallion's hoof and walked into the kitchen going to the door to the right of the stairs. Shining saw the dining table and walked to it breaking away from Rarity and sat down. Rarity used her magic to grab a glass from a nearby dish rack and turned the faucet on putting the glass under the stream of water filling the glass. Just as the water was an inch away from the brim of the glass she turned the faucet off and floated the glass over to the table setting it down in front of Shining who immediately picked it up and drank it. Once all the water was gone he set the glass down giving a hefty sigh. "...Thanks Rarity..." He said. "...Yeah I should be with Cadence but right now she's trying to keep Twily calm..."

Rarity gasped and sat down. "What's wrong with Twilight?!" She asked a bit scared.

Shining sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Well..." He started. "...I wont go into detail but Spike went missing last night. Thought I'd help my little sister out and get him back for her."

Rarity let out an almost blood curdling scream at the words. "SPIKE'S MISSING?!" She yelled. 

Shining quickly shushed her. "You gotta keep quiet! Have you seen him or not?" He asked. Rarity shook her head whimpering. "Alright! That's all I needed to know! You head over to Twily's and calm her down! But before I go searching more do you have any idea where Spike could be?"

Rarity sniffled trying not to cry herself. "...Maybe my little Spikey-Wikey is at the field where I get my gems..." She said hesitantly. "...Its just west of here... You cant miss it.." Her voice got quiet still holding back tears.

Shining gave her a smile and took her hoof. He got up from his seat and went towards the door of the kitchen taking Rarity with him. "Sweetie Belle is at school right now isn't she?" Shining asked looking back at the teary mare. She nodded and opened the front door with her magic allowing them to go outside. Shining closed the door behind them. "Well it gives you more of a reason to help my sister out. You get over there now! I'm not sure how much she can take!" Rarity sniffled and nodded releasing the unicorn colt's hoof. She started to run off as Shining flashed away.

Over with Spike he looked a little bigger as he read his comics in a crazy looking house. Furniture was upside down, paintings were moving around, and a faucet on the wall was pouring chocolate milk into the base of an acoustic guitar. Discord appeared from a weird looking door covered in confetti and party gear such as crazy glasses, a few party favors in his claws- A horn and a twirly noise maker- and one in his mouth. He laughed as the door shut behind him. "That was an AWESOME party!" Discord said curling his body floating through the air around Spike. "You should've been in there! It was Cuh-RAY-ZEEE with a capital CRAZY!"

Spike huffed and tossed his comic into his box full of comics. "Don't talk about parties!" He snapped getting up from what looked to be a bean bag chair. "Talking about them makes me think of that... Bitchy princess!"

Discord chuckled a bit. "Oh terribly sorry there Spike!" He said as he sat a recliner that came by. "But if anything i'd've thought it would remind you of that... Wretched pink nuisance! She's just too happy! Last time she was talking with me she made me give her a stupid cotton candy cloud that only gave her chocolate milk when she bit it. She does know that's pure sugar on top of sugar doesn't she?"

Spike shrugged reaching into a fridge that was stuck to the roof. He pulled out a big gem and took a bite out of it like it was an apple. "I swear she snorts sugar to act that crazy all day!" He said laughing a bit. "Speakin of sugar... I've got a craving for a sundae...." He looked back at Discord. "Care to help my Chaotic Companion?"

Discord gave a grin and snapped his griffon claw. "Take a look into the freezer!" He said. "I've even given you a little treat on that sundae as well... Hope you like it!"

Spike gave a grin and opened up the fridge taking out an ice cream sundae with gems piled all over it. Diamonds on the vanilla ice cream, emeralds on the chocolate sauce and a big red ruby on top with what looked like an emerald stem making it look like a cherry. Spike licked his lips, a growl let loose from his grin. "Spike... WANT!" He said before biting into the bedazzled treat. With each chomp and crunch Spike grew larger and larger.

Discord gave a grin. "....Yes.... Eat up Spike.... No one likes a baby when they're hungry!" He said. "Now if you'll excused me I have someone else to talk with..." The serpent gave an evil laugh before snapping his claw disappearing into a cloud of smoke.

Over with Shining he was just coming from Fluttershy's home with a worried look on his face. "...Jeez I really hope Twily will be alright..." He said to himself. "...Now that Rarity, AJ and Pinkie are there she should be happy... With Fluttershy going to get Dash I can probably head back... Twily should really need me and Cadie cant really do everything herself..." The armored stallion started in a jog down the road back towards town. As he ran by an alley way he heard a scream. He stopped almost tripping and eating dirt. He looked back to the alley and darted in, his adrenaline now pumping. "BY THE ORDER OF THE CELESTIAN GUARD I ORDER YOU TO COME OUT WITH YOUR HOOVES UP!" He yelled having it echo off the walls. The scream stopped and and laugh started. "WHOS THERE?!" Shining looked around. Nobody in the alley except for himself.

"...Well It seems you fell for it...." Someone said. "...Fake crime in progress, fake scream... Now all you need is a dumbstruck look on your face for you to get your prize!" Shining's heart dropped. He looked behind him scared and saw Discord looking smug. "Ah! Look at that you win! Here's your prize!" Suddenly discord got into Shining's face looking into his eyes. Before Shining could react he started to get hypnotized. "Now... You are under my control..."

Shining started to look more pale. His mane, armor, his coat and even his eyes turned into a bit of a faded color of what they once were. The look on his face turned from frightened to determined and angered. "...Now Discord... You might have gotten me but... What should I tell Twily?" Shining asked grinning.

Discord gave an evil laugh. "You tell her you never found spike.... THEN you tell your lovey-dovey wife you're going somewhere else to sleep instead of home but... Just be a complete dick about it! No use in being nice now!" He said. "Meet me just outside ponyville after you do so! Here isn't a great place to speak... Now go! Do what must be done!" Shining nodded and flashed away before Discord flashed away as well.

Over with Twilight she was asleep in her now stripped bed sniveling. Cadence sat off to the side eating a sandwich as she read a book. She looked over at her sister in law and sighed. "...Don't worry Twilight... Shining will find your faithful assistant..." She said softly. She sighed starting to think. "...Maybe I should wake her up to have something to eat.... She did throw up a bit this morning after... That..." Cadence got up and hesitantly walked over to her sister in law not too sure if waking her is a good idea. She stopped bust feet from the bed and took a deep breath. "C'mon she's your little sister in law... You should wake her and get her some food..." Hesitantly Cadence reached over and slightly shook her sister in law. "Twilight? C'mon wakey wakey!"

Twilight moaned a bit waking up. "...C-cadence...?" She said sitting up rubbing her eyes. "...D-did Shining find Spike...?"

Cadence sat on the bed hugging Twilight. "...I'm sorry but Shining is still out but I'm sure he'll find him..." She said stroking her mane. "In the mean time why don't we have something to eat. Your stomach must be empty from earlier..."

Twilight sighed pushing her sister in law off. "...I guess..." She said getting up from her bed. She stumbled a bit trying to walk away. Cadence quickly got up and helped Twilight stay balanced. "...I-i'm okay I just... I really need something to eat and drink...."

Cadence gave sort of a warm smile and helped her sister in law down stairs. "There we are... At least you stopped crying... What made you wet your bed? Shining told me that you never did that before!" She said. 

Twilight blushed a bit sighing. "...Well... I... I just... Spike would normally help me get up and go to the bathroom but... It just... I woke up too late....." She said. "...Please don't tell our mother I did that..."

The foalsitting princess smiled as they went into the kitchen. "Don't worry I'm hush about accidents with everyone but their caretakers and parents but with you I can make an exception." She said going into the cupboards. "Is there anything specific you'd wanna have Twi? I can make you some nice soup to keep your stomach all nice and calm."

Twilight gave a smile using her magic to take a cup from the cupboard. "...That could be nice..." She said. "...Can you help me get something to drink as well? I'm still feeling a bit wobbly..." 

`	Cadence gave a smile and took the glass in her magic. "Twi you know I will." She replied. She floated the glass to the sink and filled it with water. "So Twi... I want to ask... Would you mind staying a few nights with me and Shining...? I promise if you need some extra protection against bedwetting I do have a few pads for when I go put some potty training foals for a nap."

Twilight grabbed the glass filled with water as it floated over to her. "...I'd be fine with staying but... Not with the bedwetting pads..." She said before taking a sip from the water glass. 

The lovely princess gave a sigh. "Twilight I want to be prepared for stuff like that if we cant... Uh... You know..." She said. "...I mean... If your friends found out you were having accidents while you slept they'd probably laugh or something... Pinkie has a bit of a mouth on her and she told me about Applejack and Big Mac having a bit of.... Well... Relations... I swear I thought they were going to go at it at the same time with different ponies but when I found out I nearly puked!"

Twilight set the glass down giving a sigh as Cadence took a box of rice from the cupboard. "I've seen them do some of that when AJ was in heat. Trust me I really wish I hadn't seen that." She said. "I walked in on them and... Gotta say I was sort of surprised... not fully but... They actually offered to help me but uh... Celestia trained me to ignore it."

Cadence looked back. "Still cant handle it now that you're a princess huh?" She said giving her winged sister in law a bit of a smile. Twilight blushed and shook her head. "Don't worry I remember when I was made a princess. Celestia taught me that very same thing but... I've given in to my urges..." She blushed hard and took her attention back to the rice box. "But let's not dwell on that subject... You don't want to lose your appetite would you?" Twilight shook her head.

Not too long later Twilight and Cadence were sitting out in the library eating bowls of rice with spoons as they read some books. All of a sudden there was a frantic knock on the door. "Twi? Y'all're in there arentcha?" A mare yelled. 

Twilight sighed looking back at the door. "...Shining must've gotten all my friends in an uproar about this..." She said. She looked to Cadence. "You mind letting them in at all...?"

Cadence gave a smile and nodded setting her book and rice down. "I'll slip out and tell them not to mention you-know-who okay?" She said getting up. Twilight nodded and took a spoon full of rice from her bowl. Her sister in law hurried for the door and opened it slightly. It didn't take long for five ponies to bowl her over shoving the door wide open. Each one of them friends of Twilight. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack. Cadence got up and sighed closing the door. "I'm fine... I'll let that slide!"

Rarity looked back at Cadence as everyone hugged Twilight. "Terribly sorry Princess Cadence I told them to be careful!" She said bowing in respect. "Are you injured at all? I can make you a new necklace as an apology for these degenerates hurting you!"

Cadence gave a sigh and smiled. "It's okay I know you guys are worried about Twilight." She said. "Just don't mention you-know-who to her... She's still a bit touchy on the subject."

Rarity gave a nod and went back to her friends piled around Twilight. "Sugarcube I am so sorry about what happened!" Applejack said. "Anytime ya need any help I'll be here faster than you can name every apple in existence!"

Twilight sighed as all her friends backed away. "...Thanks AJ but... I'd need someone to at least stay the night so i'd have someone to talk with..." She said.

Pinkie laughed and snorted. "Silly Twilight you already have Spike!" She said with a smile. Twilight gasped and whimpered shutting her eyes tight. Everyone looked to the pink pony making her feel nervous. "What? I saw Dash and I just followed her here!"

Fluttershy hugged Twilight still looking at Pinkie. "Spike ran off last night Pinkie!" She said. "Have you not noticed that Twilight has been in here with just Cadence?"

The pink mare hung her head as her mane drooped a bit. "Sorry Twilight...." She said.

Twilight sniffled and pushed Fluttershy off going over to Pinkie. "...I-It's okay..." She said. "I don't expect you to ask what's going on but... Just try to keep yourself from mentioning him again...." 

Pinkie hugged and nuzzled her friend a bit teary eyed feeling sorry she ever mentioned it. Rainbow Dash gave a sigh. "Not trying to be a bummer here but is anyone out there looking for him?" She asked.

The princess of love gave a nod. "Shining should be looking around as we speak!" Cadence said. "With you all here would you actually be able to help Twilight with this problem?"

Everypony agreed to staying by their friends side. Suddenly banging on the door startled Fluttershy making her hide behind Applejack and Rarity with her tail wrapped around the white unicorn mare's leg. Twilight sighed prying Pinkie off of her. "That's probably Shining... Hopefully he found Spike..." She said going towards the door. Before she got there the door was kicked open startling her and everyone there. Wings extended, manes frizzed a bit, even a few noggins were knocked together. There was Shining looking a bit smug. "SHINING! WHAT THE HELL THAT'S MY DOOR!"

Cadence approached her husband. "Shining why did you just break her door down? She was just about to let you in!" She snapped. "Did you even get any lead on Spike? You've only been gone a few hours!"

Shining used his magic grabbing his wife and tossing her aside. "Out of the way you bitch!" He said. Everypony gasped. Fluttershy covered her ears, Rarity stared Shining down in anger, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie sat there with their mouths gaping. Shining looked to Twilight. "I don't think I'll ever be able to find that little shit of an assistant! He must be LOOOOOOOOOOOONG GONE!"

Twilight's heart dropped. Tears came to her eyes and her lip started to quiver. Cadence got up and cracked her neck a bit going to her sister in laws side angered. She hugged Twilight as she started to cry. "Shining!" She snapped. "What ever has gotten into you I expect it to be gone when you come back to the castle! Now get out of here!"

Shining grinned and turned away. "OH! That's funny!" He said laughing. "Bitchy McWiferson actually thinks I'm coming back home! This stuff aint EVER going back!" 

Cadence gasped and started to tear up as well. She clenched her eyes shut and sniffled. "THATS IT! I AM DONE!" She yelled out. "JUST GO! DONT EVER COME BACK YOU SON OF A BITCH! I-I... I cant believe I actually married you..."

Shining ran off leaving Cadence and Twilight crying with each other. He gave an evil grin as he ran through the streets before teleporting away. Somewhere else in a void of darkness Discord was relaxing floating in mid air eating a bag of popcorn. "Everything seems to be going JUST as planned..." He said as if he were talking with someone. In fact... He actually was.

A disembodied laugh came. "...Soon the elements will be in our grasp wont they Discord...?" Someone said. Discord gave a nod having a mouthful of popcorn. "...Good... I've awaited your release for a while... I was there for your first release when those fillies fought in front of you... I even watched your re-imprisonment... Well... Now that you've been released yet again... Supposedly being on your 'best behavior' according to Princess Celestia... Wretched cunt... Now that you and I work together along with that little purple bed wetter's assistant and brother NOTHING CAN STOP US!" Both Discord and the mysterious voice both gave laughs of great evil.

Discord's laughing died down and he sighed. "Ah yes Nightshade.... You've always been a baddie haven't you?" He said snapping his claw. A light came on revealing a makeshift throne room. A black hooded figure sat in a large throne meant for a prince. Discord huffed. "Would you PLEASE remove that hood? It only helps when you're in a dark room to hide yourself!"

The hooded figure known as Nightshade gave a grunt. Claws emerged from the sleeves that rested on the arm rests. They grasped the hood and pulled it back revealing it was a griffon with a scar over his eye, both his eyes were closed. Feathers were dark. Almost as a midnight sky with no stars. He opened his eyes revealing the scarred eye was pure white while the other was grey. He gave Discord demented stare. "You forget of my powers don't you Discord...?" He said. "Make a crack like that again and your words will go without sound." 

A dark steel sword appeared near Discord's neck. The chaotic serpent took his antler off and pushed the sword away giving a sarcastic laugh. "You really think your little toys scare me?" He asked. "You forget I'm the only one who can tell that Gem-Crunching Dragon and the hypnotized guard!"

Nightshade sighed and snapped his claw making the sword disappeared. "I guess we're at a stand still then..." He said getting up. He stretched a bit and started to remove the coat. "...This thing is getting uncomfortable." Again he snapped his claw and the coat disappeared. He looked to the wings on his back. They were tattered. Feathers were missing, they didn't seem to open the right way and they even were slashed a bit. "...Those guards were merciless... I'm lucky to even escape with my own arms and legs in tact..." He looked back at Discord putting his wings back into place. "How about we set part two of our plan into action...?"

Discord grinned making the bag of popcorn pop into smoke and disappear. He landed on his feet and stood up. "I thought you would never ask..." He said.

Part two? Plan? Discording Shining Armor and giving Spike everything he wants? Something is REALLY wrong here
