Rainbow Dash sitting on a cloud remembering the memory of Applejack tell her about the zap apples, remembering the way her eyes just seemed to have glistened in the sun. Rainbow slowly fell asleep remembering the happiness that applejack had in her voice. Right before she could shut her eyes, she heard a bubbly voice
"Oh Dashie!" Rainbow looked down to see none other than Pinkie.
"What is it Pinkie trying to take a nap like I do every day at three?" Pinkie looked at Rainbow confused
"But Dashie don’t you remember today is Apple Jacks birthday and we are all pitching in to get that new cinder squeezer for her so there’s not at much ware on her hooves? Remember it was your idea."
Rainbow dash darted awake, the one pony she had actual cared about and she forget her birthday
"I got go Pinks". Rainbow Dash flew as fast as she could to her comfy home in Cloudsdale tripping over Tank on her way.
"Sorry buddy I am in a rush" dashed to her room, broke open her piggy bank, when she opened it she seeing it...completely empty.
"Oh buck"
Rainbow dash started to panic what was she going to do. Everypony would be disappointment in her one and only fear. She started to think "What would Applejack love more than a cider squeezer?” Rainbow thought as she flew, hanging her head, to sugar cube corner. Upon the entrance she saw Applejack and the rest of her friends. She finally thought of a present. Rainbow dash looked up meeting the emerald gaze of Apple jacks eyes as bright as they are were.
"Why howdy Rainbow."
"Happy birthday, Applejack..."
"Why thank you..."
"I know I came here with nothing but I have a present for you. Twilight I'll need your help with this present."
Twilight looked at her confused "Now, Rainbow. You know I am always eager to help a friend in need. Nonetheless, I would like to know what it is you want me to do before I commit to anything."
"We will talk in a little bit...."
Apple jack plainly said to Rainbow dash "Well whatever it is, Rainbow I am sure I’ll love it."
As the party continued on, Rainbow finally get a chance to talk to twilight. "I need you to preform that spell you did when I was in the flying competition...the one that allowed you to stand and sit on the clouds?"
Twilight smiled “I could definitely do that spell again. My question is why?" Rainbow looked at Twilight
"Well you see my present is showing her the sunset from a cloud." Twilight laughs just a little
"Are you finally going to tell her how you feel?" Rainbow began to blush crimson
"Twilight how did you know?...."
"Rainbow I am not stupid. I do recognize those signs...after all my brother had the same ones for a certain princess...”
"So you'll help me right?" Rainbow looked worried and twilight reassured her with a smile.
"Of course I'll help Rainbow Dash." Rainbow began to smile herself.
After the party was over, Rainbow pulled Applejack aside "Applejack you ready for your present?"
"Well of course sugar cube" Rainbow called twilight over, as produced twilight casted the spell.
"What was that sugarcube?" Apple jack said smiling at rainbow
"You'll see" Rainbow said to Applejack getting above her picking her up slowly setting her on the cloud as the sun sat.
"Rainbow this is amazing." Rainbow blushed a little seeing apple jacks eyes brighten up.
"Well Apple Jack I wanted to talk to you about something....."
"Oh well what is it sugarcube?"
"Well...I...I...” Rainbow dash slipped on the cloud just a bit bumping into AJ. Their lips lock in an accidently kiss. Rainbow dash pulled away and started to blush as the sun had finally sat.
"Applejack I didn’t mean to kiss...I am sorry..."
"It ok sugar cube" Applejack said as she nuzzle against Rainbow dash. Rainbow wrapped her wing around her.
They had continued to snuggle until the sun had finally set. They had started to go there separate ways for the night knowing they'll be together again by the morning.
