It had been a few days since Spike and Twilight had gotten back from the human world for the third time, and they were with the others of the mane six eating the amazing food from there with perfectly colored green grass and dandilions for a background. It was made from vegetarian ingredients, and was extremely good, they had pizza and fries at the same time, with fruit punch, modified with magic from their world to be has good has possible.

There had been relative peace for quite a while now, other than a few social problems between them, everything was perfect, allowing them to just live their lives, no villains dared to show up in either world because Twilight was so powerful, all Twilight had to do was borrow magic from Celestia and Luna, and she could freeze them with the chill of night, then fry them with the fires of the sun, and since things had been so quiet, they were able to use the portal for recreation.

Twilight said “Hey guys, you enjoying the food?”, 

The others said “Whoo hoo!”

Pinky pie started going crazy from hyperactivity, bouncing up and down all over the place saying in a really fast voice “This food is amazing! Not like finding a bit amazing, but like my mouth just wants to explode amazing!”.

Rarity said “I think I'm in love! I wouldn't normally do such a thing, but I want to dress the pizza box up in the most beautiful diamond covered cloth I can, the diamonds could all be red to look like the punch!”

Rainbowdash said “Forget 20% cooler, this is 1000% cooler!”

Applejack said “Hey Twilight, do you think you could use your magic on my apples? I could rake it in!”

Twilight said “Sure, I don't see why not.”

They were all enjoying their food, meanwhile, Discord was off in the distance, admiring how sweet Fluttershy was while eating the food they had. She was truly the embodiment of kindness. All his years of suffering, frozen in rock, unable to feel anything, had taught him how precious emotions like love are. When Fluttershy was happy, it was like she radiated happiness everywhere, like the sun, only instead of light, joy. Her yellow fur was like the sun's rays, like she was everything he needed to feel happy again. It wasn't just her physical appearance or her personality, although either one would have been enough for him, it was the combination.

Discord heard Twilight say “Well, I have to go check on the portal and make sure everything's still working correctly, it was fun, but I have to go.”

Applejack said “Yeah, I better go check on the farm.”

Rainbowdash said, shaking with excitement “And I want to fly has fast has I can to get the maximum awesomeness out of this meal!”,

Rainbowdash blasted off at an unbelievable speed, imagining the taste of the food pushing her foreward, causing a nearby tree to rip out of the ground and fly into the sky when she bolted past it.

Pinky pie was still oblivious to the fact that they were leaving, she was bouncing too high to hear them, and she was half zoned out thinking about the joy from the food, while saying fast in her Pinky Pie way "I want to eat this tomorrow, and then 500 billion quazillion years from now! My taste buds are going crazy!", deep down though she was imagining what kind of party she was going to throw to celebrate.

Spike said “Rarity, can I come with you?”

She said “Sure!”, and before they knew it, the group was broken up, everypony going to do their own stuff. 

Fluttershy was walking home too, and Discord decided he had to tell her how he felt. So he teleported in front of her.

Discord said “Hey Fluttershy.”

She said “Oh, Discord, I didn't see you there!”

Discord said “Well that makes sense, I did teleport after all.”, Fluttershy was too shy to laugh though, but she did giggle a bit.

Discord said “So where are you going?”

Fluttershy said “Gonna go take care of some animals probably.”, more kindness, it made his heart feel like it was on fire. 

For the first time in so long, so long he had almost forgotten it existed, that warm feeling that contrasts with the cold in winter, that feeling of life in his chest was there, like a fireplace in his heart. It was a feeling that went deep into his soul.

Discord said “So do you have any specific plans or...”

Fluttershy said “I don't know, I'm just going to talk to the first animal I see.”.

Discord couldn't take it any more, he had no idea how to take it slowly because he had been emotionless so long, so he blurted out “Fluttershy, I love you!”, and Fluttershy's face turned red, she was so startled that she made a squeak sound. 

She barely managed to get out “W-what?”, and Discord couldn't speak for a few seconds out of embarrasment.

Fluttershy squeaked out “Um, what do you mean?”

Discord said “Fluttershy, I see your beautiful pink fur, your kind heart, you being so nice to me was the first truly good emotions I had felt in so long, that's why being your friend meant enough to me to make me give up evil, can you imagine what it's like to be frozen in stone, unable to feel anything for that long? I was evil because nothing other than non sensical control of everything was enough, I thought that if nothing sensical was good enough, nonsense was all that was left, but even that wasn't enough, I need you, Fluttershy!”

Fluttershy didn't know what to say, she was already friends with him, she didn't have any idea he liked her, she had never thought about it. She was scared by his nonsensical nature, she wouldn't judge him by his looks, but she just didn't think that her shyness and his nonsensicalness would go together, which made her feel guilty, creating a fast spiraling paradoxical ball of emotions.

She was terrified when he made things come alive, when he made houses do backflips without touching the ground. She could be friends with him, but being attached to him forever was too scary of a concept. So she said “Um, I don't like you in that way.”

Discord suddenly felt horrible, his stomache felt tight, he felt hot all over, so he said “W-What?!”

Fluttershy blurted out “I-I don't like you in that way.”, and she said “I have to be alone!”, and she ran off.

Discord was in disbelief, he felt like something deep in his soul, a feeling like there was always something good to look foreward to, like there was always some way the nature of reality wasn't horrible, had been destroyed beyond repair, and the warm feeling of life he had was replaced by a feeling like the inside of his chest was half spasmed. 

Everything was so perfect, what went wrong? But he had to leave her alone, he couldn't stand to hurt her any more. So he teleported has far away has he could get, into a dark cave.

Fluttershy was running away, breathing heavily, but the kindness in her heart drove her to go back. She thought “Wait, am I sure I don't like him? Maybe I haven't thought about it enough. Either way I can't do that to him and just run away.”, and she ran back to the spot she last saw him, but he wasn't there. She thought “Oh no, what have I done?”.

Twilight had just finished the work on the portal, when Fluttershy came banging on her door so loudly it sounded like she had a hammer. Twilight sprinted over there and opened the door. The moment she opened it, Fluttershy leaped into her arms crying. Twilight said “What is it, Fluttershy?”

Fluttershy said, weaping “I-I broke Discord's heart! And now I can't find him!”

Twilight said “How?”

While they talked, Discord was in the dark, damp, spider covered cave, he used his magic to make some really good food appear, and he ate it to cheer himself up, but all it did was jab at his heart more.

Without that feeling of life, with that feeling deep in his soul being turned to pain, he couldn't enjoy anything, it was like there was a thought in the back of his head mocking him as the tension in his chest hurt him, saying “You'll never feel joy again! Try it and I'll jab you in the chest again with your own sorrow, with your own thoughts, from deep within your mind! From now on, every joy you try to have will be empty and meaningless because you don't have enough left deep in your soul to enjoy it, and Fluttershy won't care about you enough to help! All she cares about is her own selfishness, has she stubbornly refuses to care about even the deepest emotions in your soul!”

His emotions were like a tall building, when normal bad things happened, it was like stuff hitting the top of it and damaging it, which could be repaired by doing things he enjoyed, but now the bottom of it has been ripped out from under it, and all he can do is repair the top of it just to have it fall down.

He was going insane, darkness attacking his soul, he could go back to his nonsensical ways, but even that felt empty. Without being able to get any emotions from it, what's the point? Compared to what he felt for Fluttershy, it was empty and lacked depth. It was like when he thought him and her would be together, he was in paradise, with all the depth he could ever need, but it only lasted long enough to get used to it so that he could be thrown into a meaningless hell when that love was forced to die.

He could just live in sorrow, his joy being feeling sorry for himself, thinking about how much better he was than the world because he would never do that to somepony, but even that thought didn't bring him any joy, and him stretching with all his soul to try to find even the most insignificant thing to bring him hope only made it so there were deeper emotions to be turned to sorrow.

How could Fluttershy do this to him? Trapped in stone for so long, unable to feel, unable to enjoy anything, unable to move his eyes, unable to tense even a single muscle, just stuck looking in a single direction, waiting for somepony to put the flowers in a different position or something so he could see something different, for years, and now she caused him even more pain?

So what could he do? Without joy, could he simply exist for eternity? Then boredom will combined with it and make it even worse, and the physical pain in his head and chest wouldn't let him relax! He didn't know what to do, all this power, and nothing to do but hurt deep in his soul for all eternity. 

He tried to do something, but that hurt, then he tried doing nothing, and that hurt too, but then he had hope again by trying to do something just to have it beat out of him when he still felt horrible, and it created an endless cycle that slammed the hope out of him over and over again, so darkness pierced into his nonsensical nature, and his face slowly turned into a drawing, while he laughed into a creepy helium voice "HA HA HA HA HA!!! TRAUMA! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!"

Meanwhile, Twilight and the rest of them were searching for him. Twilight had gotten permission from Princess Celestia to keep the sun up so they could search, normally she wouldn't keep the sun up like that and keep everyone up for one person, but this was Discord, he could plunge equestria into chaos with a single thought.

Rainbow Dash flew at top speed over the entire place, Twilight teleported to various locations, applejack spread the news and tried to get other ponies to help find him, Pinky pie tried to cheer Fluttershy up and stop her from crying before going to join the rest of them (Fluttershy stayed home), and Spike stayed with Celestia and Luna. But to no avail, Discord was just too far away, the area they would have to search would be massive, it was hopeless.

Celestia said “Okay, I have to put the sun down now, otherwise ponies will start to get angry.”, and the sun went down shortly afterwards, causing darkness to consume the sky. 

But the Mane six looked up in horror, when the moon came up, it was shaped like a moon colored, crater covered balloon with a face painted on it in red, the mouth facing them, tilted so the hole the air goes in was the mouth. It looked terrifying, like some force was trying to imitate a pony, and not doing a very good job at it. The giant medical needle in it's mouth started extending, until it touched the ground far away from them, and they heard a whistling sound in the distance, then it twisted into a pretzel shape so it would be shorter and not touch the ground any more.

Twilight said, quivering, “Uuuuum, what was-”

Applejack said, interrupting, “Discord! We have to fly over there and see what happened!”, they hesitated because of how scary it was, a dark forest around them, the sky dark, but they decided to go anyway. Twilight flew, and used her magic to make everyone else able to fly too. Has they were flying through the sky, they realized a terrifying thought: All of reality was warped by Discord's mental state, all their basic peace they were used to, all the sensicalness of everything, it was all reliant on Discord not going crazy, which was eventually going to happen, because he was very likely going to live for eternity. Eventually, if you have enough time, everything HAS to happen, no matter how small the probability, so it was inevitable.

Any time, everything could turn into nonsensical chaos, the levels of pain ponies can experience, matter being solid and not having nonsensical properties (Like the mass in grams of a pineapple being “Tomato”), so they could run into anything when they get to the spot they were going to, and sense couldn't protect them from it. They didn't know it, but the strange, before unimaginable way that even basic ideas of hope were irrelevent now created a duality between the mane six and Discord.

Rarity said “Um, you sure about this, Twilight?”

Twilight said “We've dealt with Discord before, but this time I fear the worst. Look, we all know what we're thinking, but chaos like what Discord might do to the world might reach us anywhere, so we might has well try to stop it.”

All of the sudden they heard a ground shaking popping sound in the distance, then again, like giant drums in the distance. Rainbowdash said “Uh, Twilight, what's that?”

Rarity said “Um, might I suggest running now?”

Then all of the sudden a ghostly helium voice joined it in the distance, going “Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”.

In the cold night, they shivered in fear, the popping noises and the helium voice getting closer, “Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!”

Rarity said “Twilight, I'm scared!”,

Again, “HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”, and a few seconds later they heard something coming from behind them say in a helium voice “Hi, I have an exclamation point for a head, and soon you will too!”, 

They turned and saw a two legged humanoid, his head in the shape of an exclamation point with a face painted on it, it was just strange enough to have a foothold in reality, but still look weird in just the right way to terrify them the most, which made the shape of it's head even more terrifying, like his head represented what he was gonna do to them, he had an exclamation point for a head!

All of the sudden, somehow the 5 of them knew his name: Clownia.

They all flew away has fast has they could, all of them quaking in fear, but Clownia stretched his body towards them, covering up part of the night sky, and wailed in a ghostly helium voice “I want to go in your eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeears!”

Twilight tried to shoot it with a bright magical blast, but Clownia grabbed the beam, and said to himself in a helium voice “Catch, Clownia!”, and used the beam like a lasso to throw her into his arms. Then he caught the rest of them in the rope he made out of her magic.

They tried to escape, but Clownia just said, still speaking in a helium voice, “How does it feel Twilight? Because of that one mistake, now all your friends are trapped, and I'm going to eat you!”, then he lunged at her, screaming “HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

Fluttershy was off in the distance, still in her house, trembling in fear from all the strangeness outside, the darkness of the sky feeling like it was relaxing her into death, she couldn't relax because she was afraid of what would happen to her while she slept.

She heard 5 ground shaking pops, the first one and the last about half a second apart, and saw a bunch of Discords running around outside with faces drawn on their heads instead of actual faces, a huge, thin crowd of them.

All of the sudden, they all turned towards Fluttershy looking out of her window, and slowly pulled out signs. They all had arrows painted on them, pointing to their drawn on faces.

Fluttershy let out a startled squeak, and hid below the window, with no way to escape. Then all of the sudden, her door melted into a smooth brown puddle, and a sign appeared right on the inside of her door, off to the side a little bit, there were lights all over it, and an arrow pointing inside that said “Come on in, Discords!” 

All of the sudden, 3 or 4 discords came in dressed in hospital outfits, their faces flat and meaningless, with no depth left, and one of them had a needle.

At this point Fluttershy was up against a wall, and the Discord with the needle said in an annoyingly calm voice “I'm so sorry, it seems that there's nothing wrong with you. Don't worry, a simple injection help with that”.

Fluttershy said “No, please!”, then Discord pushed the back of the sharp, shiny needle with his thumb while the needle was still in the air, and a clear liquid came out, when the liquid hit the ground it turned into an ear. 

Suddenly, hairy taranchula legs and fangs busted out of it, has if they were trying to get out of an egg, but the ear didn't shatter. 

Discord said “I call them 'hee hoo's'”, and it cloned itself, then they started going towards her saying in a helium voice “We're gonna insecure you! We're gonna insecure you!”.

But all of the sudden, Fluttershy in a burst of kindness and warmth that punched through the fear realized what she had done to Discord, even though he was completely crazy now, it was because of her. She didn't have the courage to not hurt his feelings, to realize that she loved him, she didn't think fast enough to realize how much Discord liked her either. 

So with a burst of adrenaline, she flew over the hee hoo's (Which had teeth shaped like the metal part of power cords burst out of them and stretch out trying to stab her has she did), and into the main discord's arms, and started crying and saying “I'm sorry for what I did to you, please forgive me!”, all of the sudden, the shock of having the pony he loved hug him snapped him out of it, and everything returned back to normal with a magical explosion.

The other members of the mane 6 became all right, the moon was back to normal, there was only one Discord, with no hee hoo's in sight, and Discord's face slowly became 3 dimensional again.

Fluttershy said, tears still in her eyes, “I'm so sorry I did that to you! I didn't know you cared about me that much! I'll never hurt you like that again! I love you too!”

All of the sudden, the mane six busted down the door and said “Discord! Get away from her!”

But Fluttershy said “Wait, it's over.”

Discord said “Leave us alone.”, and an impenetrable barrier appeared between discord and 5 of the mane six. 

After Discord and Fluttershy hugged for a time that seemed like forever (While Rainbowdash and Twilight tried to knock down the barrier), Discord and Fluttershy convinced them that they would never be able to seperate them, so they gave up, after all, there wasn't really much they could do about it anyway.

The next morning, everyone but Fluttershy was worried about what would happen if this happened again, but has the sun rose, all the fear in their minds were weakened, and it was over.
