"Tia, we know something out there." Luna spoke. "We know it isn't something normal as we sent many guards after it. However they all come back beaten." Luna thought for a while. "I know we wi-"

Luna was cut off by Celestia by her holding her hoof on Luna lips. "Luna, we all have much to say about this problem. I'm worried as well but." Celestia looks towards the window and into the night sky. "We mu-" A yawn sneaked it's way across Celestia face. "Pardon me. As I was saying we should get some sleep so we can focus on this matter with fresh minds."

Luna thinks about it but then ends up giving in. "Indeed it is late. I shall see thy later. Night sister." Said Luna who had turned and walked out of Celestia room.

"Night sister." Celestia went towards her bed. She let herself drop. Using her magic to turn off the lights. She was too tired. Sure she cared for Equestria and her ponies but it can wait for a little while. Her eyes started to slowly drift to sleep until she fell to it's spell.




Celestia felt so comfortable in her bed. That was until it suddenly got cold. This bothered her until she couldn't take it no more. Slowly opening her eyes. She saw a blurry blue floor lad out in front of her. Oh it's just the floor. The floor? Celestia stood up after quickly opening her eyes. Her eyes took a while to adjust to the light but manage after a while. 

Celestia looks around to see she was in a room she was not familiar with. Her eyes notice straight away something in the middle of the room. There stood a huge tree. The wood was a mix of white and blue while the leaves where nothing she saw before. On one side were a patch of leaves that were as black as the night sky. While the other half were the same color of the sun while they shone out brightly.

But what caught her eyes was a figure laying under the tree. Celestia out of curiosity tried to walk closer but found her to not be able to move. She tired to call out but it seems she couldn't talk. What is this place and whats going on?

Celestia couldn't get rid of a feeling. A feeling that she felt before. Out of no where she heard the cries of joy. She looked around but could not see the source of it. That sound. I heard it before. It reminded Celestia of her and Luna when they were young. She heard it again. On second thought...no it can't be...could it? Celestia was unsure but after hearing it again she was sure. It was hers and Luna cries.

Celestia suddenly wakes up in her bed. 

She then jumps straight out of her bed. It was her room. She was back. Was it a dream? It can't be it felt so real.

Celestia then looks towards the window. It was a Beautiful night. Luna was really the best at what she does. Celestia went up to the window. Wait what's that? Celestia thought after seeing figures outside. There standing was the same figure before. The one that was under the tree but also. Celestia felt tears run down her cheeks.

It can't be!

Mother?

Standing next to the figure was the one and only. A Alicorn that Celestia and Luna call mother. Celestia without a thought rushes out her bedroom door, which leads to her being outside. But she didn't care. She ran as quick as she could towards her mother. "Mother!" Celestia cried out. She watch as her mother turn and smile at her. "Celestia what are you doing up so late?" Her mother replied. Celestia was confused at this statement but didn't care. 

She missed her mother too much.

Suddenly her mother and the figure start to fade. 

"Mother wait! Please! Don't leave me!" Celestia shouted in shock to seeing them fade.

"When did I ever leave you?" Her mother said before Celestia made one final jump toward her. All went black.




"Celestia! Wake up!"

Celestia wakes up. Her eyes shooting open. It takes a while for them to adjust. Celestia suddenly sit up after gathering her thoughts. "Mother!" Celestia shouted after jumping out of bed. She rushes towards the bedroom door. She opens them and was now standing in the corridor. She was back were she was. "Mother?" Celestia sat down her head hang low. Celestia cried for a while before she felt a hoof touch her back. She looks behind her to see Luna standing there.

"Sister what is thy matter?" Luna asked.

Celestia just looks at Luna. She couldn't talk after what she had just seen.




"Are thy sure sister?" Luna asked after sipping some tea.

Celestia and Luna were in Luna's room, after the moment. "Yes Luna. I'm sure it was mother." Celestia replied.

"But what about that figure you saw?" Luna said.

"No idea sister. I never saw him before but I couldn't get a good look on him." Celestia say after sipping her tea.

Celestia was about to talk when she heard the sound of running hooves coming closer.

The doors to Luna's room are flung open as a night guard rushes in. "I'm sorry to bother you but we have an emergency! The guard said after handing Celestia a scroll. Celestia opens the scroll to have her heart ripped out. 

"Where did you find this?" Celestia asked the guard. 

"It just appeared on your throne." The guard replied.

"What is it sister?" Luna asked.

Celestia gives the scroll one more quick read. Before Luna could ask again. Celestia ran out onto the balcony. Her horn started to glow and before a second went by. A beam shout out high in the sky. It kept on going up it reach to stop of the mountain and started to spread out.

Time went by until a yellow dome covered the castle, Canterlot and Ponyvillie. Celestia just stood standing there. She eventually lets out a sigh. She turns toward the royal guard. "Guard I want you and the others to bring all under the dome to Canterlot where I have a speech for them tomorrow." The guard nodes and runs out the room. Celestia look at Luna who look more confused than ever. "I shall explain all at the speech Luna."




"Twilight slow down!" Spike shouted.

"No time Spike! This must be an huge problem for something like this to happen." Twilight said as she was running towards the city hall with Spike on her back.




Celestia steeps out from the curtain and walks onto the stage. She raises a hoof to silence the crowd. "My little ponies, we are in a dark time. An evil has risen again. While we have beaten him before twice. We are unsure if we can do it again. His power has rose to something beyond ours. Last night I receive a warning from a source I shall not name. Which then lead me to put a barrier on our homes. He is close and I do not know how long we have left. Do not fear as we have a plan to stop him." Celestia catches her breath before walking offstage, while ponies while talking in the background. She then proceeded to fly back to the castle. 

After landing in her room, she goes and lays on her bed. What was she going to do? Countless plans have failed. She had no hope left. Was this the end? Celestia couldn't help herself as the spell of sleep took over her.

Celestia slowly wakes up to find herself in the room she dreamed about earlier. The figure was not under the tree but something else. "Mother?" Celestia cried out as she slowly walked toward the figure. 

She was right in front of the figure. It was her mother. Celestia drives right into the Alicorn hugging her tightly. "Mum! It is you!" Celestia spoke through her mother's fur. "But...how is this happening?"

Celestia felt a hoof touch her chin as it brought her head up. She was now looking at the Mother's face which was smiling. "My dear Tia....I miss you and Luna so much... I know you have many questions but that will have to be asked later." After hugging her daughter she then let go and starts to walk. Celestia followed. "I fear for this. The day when it all happens again." Her mother spoke. "I understand you have no plan to stop this but I on the other hoof do." 

They were on the other side of the tree. That's when Celestia notice the figure from before laying under the tree. He worn a long robe with had the colors of night and day. A cape was on the back. The had had patterns on galaxies on them. A hood finally rested on the figures head. She tried to look for it's face but it was hidden by the hood. She looks up at her mother confused.

"My dear Tia. This is what can save you and Equestria. However it comes with a price. Which may break this man's heart." She was pointing at the figure. Who seemed to be asleep. "Who and what he is will come in good time....I would fear for lays ahead for you my dear Tia but the choice is yours. If you want to use this idea then so be it." Celestia felt herself slowly slipping away. Her vision starts to fade. "Just remember this Tia. For if you do. To use this idea go the the throne room and sing the song, I once sang to you and Luna. A passage shall be relived and as you follow it, you will come across a portal. Go through and awaken him. Then return to Equestria to save it."

Celestia woke up in her bed. The sun was shining in it's glory. Celestia heard her doors open as Luna walked in with a smile on her face.  "Morning sister. Don't worry I let you sleep after thy speech. I rose the sun for you. I hope your ready as we need to start planning on how to stop this menace." Luna spoke with pride in her voice.

"Luna." Celestia spoke "We need to talk."
