//------------------------------// // Waking Up // Story: Going to Equestria // by TheLogoliner //------------------------------// "Spike! Where is the punch!" cried Twilight. Their friends were waiting outside to go on their afternoon picnic. "I'm coming! I'm coming!" Spike shouted back. He was carrying a large bowl of punch with a pitcher and some glasses. He quickly hopped onto Twilight's back as she walked out of her library. "About time,"sighed Applejack in her southern accent. "What took ya so long?" Twilight blushed a little, "Sorry, but Spike took forever to get the punch ready." "Hey!" Spike yelled on her back. "Well we better get there, the other all ready left."Applejack said as she began to walk towards the hills. "Sure thing." Twilight said and quickly trotted up to her friend. On the way, they began to talk about the Apple Season that was due in a few days. "Big Mac is sure ready for this season. Granny Smith says it will be the best Apple Bucking Season in along time." Applejack said with pride in her voice. "About time you guys got here!" shouted Rainbow Dash, waving them over to their spot. The two friends picked up the pace and stopped in front of the picnic blanket. Rarity had on a fancy hat, which is what she usually wears. Pinkie Pie was setting down the baked sweets she made on the blanket. "Ow, this will the best picnic ever!" she shout as she bounced around the group. Fluttershy was sitting by the tree that was giving them shade surrounded by birds and other animals. Spike jumped off of Twilight and set down the bowl in the middle of the picnic blanket. Applejack sat down next to Rainbow Dash and Rarity while Twilight and Spike poured the punch. They handed out the glass cups to everypony. "Ow, look at that!" shouted Pinkie pointing towards a bright light in the distance. "What is that?" gasped Rarity, unable to take her eyes off of the light. "Let's go check it out." Twilight said galloping towards the bright light. "Um...are you sure. It looks scary, and dangerous." Fluttershy whispered behind her mane. "It's okay Fluttershy, come on darling. Let's follow the others." Rarity said, trying to calm the yellow Pegasus. Soon, the mane six was running down to the beach to investigate. --- My eyes began to open. I looked around, expecting to still be on the plane, but now I was on a beach. I water entering and leaving the coast line in a series of waves. I sat up holding my head from the splitting headache. "God, where am I?" I asked out loud to no one but me. I felt a lump under my other hand, which turned out to be my bag. I quickly did a search to see if I still had my stuff, forgetting that I was stranded. Once I finish checking my things I stood up. My knees began to shake a little. I gained my balance and just stood there looking around to see where I was. "Hello!?" I yelled to the forest behind me. --- Twilight and her friends was now in the forest. Not the Everfree, but a nearby forest that went to towards the beach. "Girls, you hear that?" Twilight whispered. The group remained silent until they heard it again. "Hello!?" is what they heard. Fluttershy quickly cowered behind Rarity and did a quiet squeak. "Somepony must be in danger!" Rainbow quickly said. "Then lets go help him, or her." Twilight said, now galloping towards the sounds. --- "Hello!?" I shouted again. "It's no use. I'm stuck on this damn island!" I sat down in the sand and began to swear to myself. "That's it." I said to my self. I stood up again and began to build a large SOS in the sand with some rocks and sticks. I started to sweat up a storm, so I opened my bag and pulled out a hat that had the Michigan Wolverines logo on it. I placed it on my head and continued to work. The bugs around me began to buzz around my ears and would land on my neck. I would swat them away so that I could finish what I started. I took a break and placed my feet into the water of the ocean, which was surprisingly blue and clear. Unlike the other oceans I've seen which a shade of green in it's color. Now that I've just noticed was that everything was colorful, like a picture a 5 year old would draw. Everything with it's own shade of colors started to make my head hurt more, so I decided to continue to build my SOS sign. The sun was still high in the air when I finished. I took my hat off and used it as a fan to help cool me off. It felt like it took hours to build the sign, yet the sun was still up. I thought I would be done when the sun would begin to set, but instead it still looks like the afternoon. I looked around to see if there was anything else I could do, but nothing crossed my mind except to build a shelter. So I got to work and started to find large leaves and branches that fell off of trees. I had some rope in the bag which is what I used to first, build a hammock. Then began to work on the roof, I case if it rains. Once I finished building the roof, I took some extra leaves to build some walls and a mat under my hammock. I stood back and took it all in. It wasn't the best island house, but all that training at those camps really did pay off. I walked over to it and stepped inside. The roof was high enough for me to stand up straight. I sat in the hammock, testing if it can hold my weight. Then I slowly began to lean back in to lay down. It still held my weight as I leaned back and used my bag as a pillow. This was not a comfortable as the plane's seats, but it still made this island more bearable. I heard a slight rustle in the bushes. I quickly stood up, being alert if anything were to jump out at me. Instead of a wild boar, or a large tiger, six colorful ponies came out. One of them had a large lizard on her back. Two of them had horns, and another two had wings. They were as tall as my waist, maybe a bit higher, like my stomach. I thought that I've seen them before, but I was too shocked to think about it. All I did was raise my hand, wave and then said, "Uh, hey."
