Lyra and Bon-Bon sat on a blanket, watching as Celestia set the sun. Bon-Bon leaned her head on Lyra's shoulder. "I love you."
Lyra nuzzled her discreetly as she could - there were a few other ponies watching the sunset nearby. "I love you too."
A rainbow streaked across the sky. Most likely Rainbow Dash doing tricks. Lyra sighed contentedly. "You know, I feel like we're the luckiest mares in the world. I mean it's been a year and I can't remember a single serious fight."
Bon-Bon smiled up at her. "That's just because you are forgetful dear. We have had fights."
"I know, but nothing serious," Lyra laughed. "Remember that time when I kept eating your candy as you just as you took it out of the oven?"
Bon-Bon rolled her eyes. "Which time?"
Lyra snickered. "The time you got really mad about it."
Bon-Bon stared at her flatly. "As I said: which time?"
Lyra rubbed her chin on Bon-Bon's head. "The time you yelled at me for two hours straight?"
"Oh..." Bon-Bon blushed. "Yeah."
"Why are you blushing? Because of what happened, or because of how we made up to each other that night?"
"Yes," said Bon-Bon, blushing harder.
"Which?"
"Both..."
Lyra just continued to laugh. Bon-Bon pursed her lips. "Oh stop laughing and lie down next to me like a normal pony," she said, referring to Lyra's preferred odd upright sitting position.
"I'm more comfortable this way."
Bon-Bon rolled her eyes. "Fine, be that way," she gazed out at the sunset. "You're weird."
"Oh hush you like it."
Suddenly Bon-Bon looked up into Lyra's eyes, overcome with how much she loved this mare. She reached up and caressed her cheek gently.
"Bonnie... they'll see."
Bon-Bon smiled. "Pinkie was right, you were right... I shouldn't be ashamed of loving you. I am not."
With that, she kissed Lyra passionately, uncaring of the ponies around them. Let them hate if they will, nothing will stop her love.
