As Alex opens the door made of onyx, a bright light is seen on the other side, and he walks inside, 'Sweet Celestia! What is causing all this light?' he thinks to himself then realizes the answer himself. The room on the other side of the door was that exact same brightness of light he saw before entering the room, looking straight forward he notices a door looking exactly like the door he just went through. 'What the...?' he thinks confusingly, then looks behind himself to see the door he just came through, 'huh? Which one is the one I came through?... Wait...' he thinks as he realizes as one little difference between the doors. When he looks at either one of the doors he gets a slightly visible vision from them if he looks at either one for long enough. When he looks at the door he came through, he sees a vision of his home back on Earth; when he looks at the other door he sees a vision that looks like a gloomy dark version of... Equestria? 'Is... is that...? It... it has to be... Equestria?' he thinks getting even more confused then realizes something... he has a chance to go to Equestria. "If whatever is going on is what I think it is... I think I'm liking it" Alex says out-loud as he smile and walks up to the door with the vision of Equestria in it and starts to open it.
In the Ritual Room hidden within the Crystal Castle
When Alex open steps in he walks into complete darkness and, while not being able to see at the moment, he nearly falls over and stops in his place and lets his eyes adjust to the rooms light. After his eyes adjust he notices two ponies whom he can't recognize because they are blocking their faces, with their hooves, to block the light from their eyes, so Alex goes over to the doors and closes them; when he does that he permanently closed the gateway between Equestria and Earth and the doors sunk back into the symbols in the ground causing them to disappear along with the door. 'What in the name of Equestria?' Alex thinks then remembers the two ponies behind him, he turns to look at them and recognizes the two ponies he thought of as a great couple, Twilight Sparkle and King Sombra.
"Hello, my name is Queen Twilight Sparkle" Twilight says.
Then Sombra steps forward, "And I am King Sombra, we-"
"Sorry to interrupt your introduction, your majesty, but I happen to know who you two are and what you rule over... and what you can possibly help me with... IF you don't mind that is your majesties." Alex interrupts King Sombra.
Sombra looks at Alex with an emotionless face, "Well... before you ask something of us... we must ask... who and what are you?"
Alex bows in Sombra's direction, "My apologies for being so rude, my name is Alexander Rutherford... but you may call me 'Alex' or 'Al' for short... AS for your second question...". Sombra sits there waiting for a moment before Alex starts speaking again, "My species is known in my world as a human we share some charateristics but also don't have some you have like... my species is able to speak, but unable to use magic... we all have our talents like you and I, but we don't gain cutie marks sadly in my opinion... etc., etc.". Alex now looks between Sombra and Twilight, "Now I must ask... why am I here?".
"My wife, Twilight, here had a vision of you wanting power and to be here in this world... this is true, is it not?" Sombra asks quizzically.
Alex is now wide-eyed looking at Twilight, "Y-yes, you had a vision?... More to the point.. of ME?" Alex asks pointing to himself.
"Yes, why do you ask?" Twilight asks with a little curiosity.
Alex scratches the back of his head, "Well... I knew you were very powerful and all... even without the dark magic... but to have a vision of something from another dimension? That takes alot of magic... possibly more than Celestia's magic. You knew that... right?" he says with an awkward smile.
Twilight thinks on it, "I knew having visions meant that pony had alot of power... but I didn't think that inter-dimensional visions were that much more complicated..."
"Anyways," Alex continues, "that's not the only reasons I wanted to come to Equestria..." he starts to trail off.
Sombra and Twilight did a double take, "Wait... you didn't come here just for power and to get away from your rock of a home? If so, then what is the last thing you came here for?" Twilight asks a little nervously.
"I came here because... I'm looking for..." Alex says while biting his lip to keep from blushing, "my special somepony...".
Twilight and Sombra do another double take, "Wait... your special somepony? Why didn't you-".
"Because those whom I thought I loved... left me..." Alex says, while he shuts his eyes and starts to cry, "and all they wanted me around for was for the money, the fame, and to just dilly-dally..." he now open his eyes and starts to raise his voice, "I thought they loved me! And when I showed them that I loved them back they betrayed my love and left me! Sheila, Josephine, and Porsche... Porsche... she and the rest were only there just for the money and fame so that they wouldn't have a worry in the world..." Alex then starts to smile, "But now I don't have to worry about any-PONY betraying me maybe I can find the love of my life here...".
Sombra and Twilight were taken back, 'He was betrayed by the one he thought he loved? And not only once... but three times? I think... I thin ling sympathy towards him...' Twilight thinks and looks at Sombra. For a while there was silence in the room, then Twilight whispers to Sombra, "I think we should help him in every way possible, by giving him dark magic AND helping him find his partner in life.".
Sombra looks at Twilight at, "Are you sure, my Queen? Sure it seems like he has life a bad life where he is from-" Sombra whispers worryingly.
"I feel like I can trust him with my life... and I see alot of potential in him, my King." Twilight whispering with a reassuring tone in her voice, then looks back at Alex, "Haven't you noticed his aura? It's slowly, but surely making progress with his own mind to be prepared for the practices of dark magic.".
Sombra goes wide-eyed and looks at Alex to look at his aura, after a while it looks like it hasn't changed since he got here then notices it. Alex's aura has gone from the silver like aura he has to a grayish-silver, 'How come I hadn't noticed this until now? Sombra wonders, 'Maybe I just wasn't paying attention... yeah, that makes sense' he comes to this conclusion and shakes the thought out his head and sighs, "I guess we can help him, but he will have to agree to one term... to put all of his loyalty on us... and to nopony else except for the one he will be partners with, in the future." Sombra whispers with a serious expression.
Twilight nods, "Very well," she stands straight and looks at Alex who seems to have recovered from the remembrance of bad memories, "Me and my husband have come to an agreement," Twilight says, getting a surprised look from Alex, "we will help you learn dark magic... AND... help you on your search for your special somepony.".
Now Alex's eyes widen, then go back to normal and starts to have tears of happiness roll down his cheeks, "Thank you Queen Twiliight and King Sombra, you have no IDEA how happy I am to hear that." he says as he is bowing in both of their directions, "If there is anything, anything at all, that I can do to repay you for this then I will see if I can do it."
Sombra and Twilight smile at this, "Well there is a catch... you have put all of your loyalty on us and on nopony else, except for your future partner in life, you can put your loyalty in them as well... but nopony else, got it?" Twilight asks with a bit of authority in her voice this time.
"Yes, I understand... my Queen." Alex replies and manages to stop crying, "So, I must ask... when does my magi- *ahem* when does my dark magic training start?"
Twilight looks at Sombra and then looks back at Alex, "Well... usually as soon as possible... but you will need your strength back up, so tomorrow morning your training will begin." Twilight replies.
Alex nods, "Understood!" he says and then realizes something, "Ummm... your majesty? Where will I be staying tonight?"
Twilight looks back at him, "Follow me and I will show you your room, if you need any accommodations to make the room more to your liking, just ring the bell you get in your room and servant will come in get what ever you need." Twilight informs him and starts walking away and he catches up and starts walking in between Twilight and Sombra out of the room and up some stairs.
