Friendship is forgotten
CH.1-New Lessons
Late in the after-noon, just barely getting dark enough for the fillies and colts to go to bed; a message was sent from princess Celestia directly to Twilight to her bed chambers without the need of Spike. Twilight was anxious to get the parchment open because it was unlike the princess to send a message without warning by Spike. She hastily unrolled the parchment with her magic and read.

“Twilight Sparkle, I have been reading the past letters you have sent to me. And it seems to me that you have fully understood the full meaning of friendship. And by doing so have been gifted your wings, and I see that your friends have been helping you with your understanding of how to use them. But I am writing here for different means.” Twilight felt a little eased about the urgency that the letter had to say at the moment.

“I am with the deepest of apologies, sorry for what I am wanting you to learn next. Since as you know you are an alicorn, that means you will be forever young as us sisters in the castle. So your next lesson you will be learning how to live forever. It sounds simple enough, yes, but I assure you it is very difficult.” Twilight was pondering what the meaning by learning to live forever was. She was dumbstruck on what the princess was trying to say so she went on.

“Twilight sparkle, with the benefits of being an alicorn, there are things you should know about being one. Like as, being the only pony that was accepted into being a princess, and the one everypony will look up to, and the worst of witch you will not enjoy, you will see the end of everypony and everything you once knew.” Twilight inhaled sharply at the last words of the sentence, she did not know exactly what the princess was trying to say at first, but then it hit her like a stamped. Her eyes grew weary at the thought, she had finally realized the gravity of what the princess was saying. She dropped the paper with her magic and laid her head down on the pillow of the cushiony bed, and felt a tear well up in her eye. She refused to read on past those words for the pain was enough already, she agreed with herself and went to bed with the thoughts of reading the rest of the paper in the morning.
Twilight arose from her bed with a heavy heart whist knowing that she has to read the rest of the paper to see what the rest had to say. She raised the paper to eye level to see clearly what was wrote and read on.

“I know that what I am saying is very hard to understand, especially on paper where I cannot answer any questions that may arise. You may answer me where you would like to study, in the castle with us or with your friends in Ponyville, you may also ask for my assistance when needed. If you so choose to stay in Ponyville, I shall come to stay there as well for ease of my assistance. Write to me by Spike when you have your answer, it shall be a difficult task. -Princess Celestia-“Twilight read the last of the words on the paper, she rolled up the paper and put it on top of the others she had received by the princess. She walked slowly down the stairs as to not disturb Spikes restful sleep. When she got downstairs she walked into the center of her home and stopped. She looked around in a circle multiple times, thinking how long it will be before this place will begin to bore her. The word infinity danced in her mind never ceasing to stop.

“Hey Twilight, why are you up so early?” Spike said from behind Twilight.

“Oh, I just had something on my mind. Why are you up? You usually sleep till noon.” Twilight said. Spike stretched with a yawn and replied

“I wasn’t that sleepy, so what’s on your mind? Twilight froze for a moment.

“Um… I got a letter… from the princess.” Twilight stuttered.

“I don’t remember that.” Spike replied with a look.

“The princess doesn’t always need you to send letters Spike.” Twilight said. “It just saves a little magic, that’s all."

“So, what’d it say?” Spike asked. Twilight hesitated about telling Spike what it said.

“New lessons.” Twilight finally answered “Oh, cool what are you studying now?” Twilight struggled with her mind to try to reconfigure what the princess was telling her to do.

“I’m learning to… uhh” Twilight stammered “To be… an alicorn.” Spike froze in thought.

“Yeah, you just got your wings so you probably don’t know how to live with them. Isn’t Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash teaching you how to fly?” Spike asked.

“Yes, and the princess wants to help teach me; she wanted me to right her back saying if I wanted to go to the castle or stay in Ponyville.” Twilight answered.

“Do you have her answer?” Spike asked.

“N… not yet” Twilight replied.

“But when I have an answer, I will surely tell you.” With that said, Spike left the room to make breakfast. Twilight followed Spike to the kitchen and took her seat. Spike got two hay strips from the food pantry and put them in a pan with some oil. Then he moved the pan over to a fireplace big enough to stand in, he walked in and shot fire at the bottom of the pan bringing the oil to a nice simmer. When the strips were done he put them on a stone plate and got a glass from the cabinet on the bottom shelf. He poured apple cider from the barrel that was suspended on the wall into the glass. When he was finished he put the delectable food in front of Twilight, she gave a satisfied smile and sent Spike on his way. While eating her meal she felt at ease that she can take her time answering the princess knowing that she has plenty to waste. After her meal was done she moved the plate and glass to the sink, washing them and placing them in the drying rack. She walked from the kitchen to her front door and stood there for a moment. She wondered if her new lessons were as bad as told, but she tried her best to shrug of those feelings of uncertainty and opened the door and left.
Twilight felt the heat of the sun on her as she left her house, closing the door behind her. She smelt fresh flowers, most likely coming from the cart over to the right of her house. She wondered where she was going, because she had nothing to accomplish. She thought for a moment if any of her friends wanted to have her help with anything. But then she remembered Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy wanting to help her with her flying practice. With this in mind she started looking for Rainbow Dash to head over to Fluttershy’s house. Luckily a rainbow colored mare was not hard to find on such a clear day. Easily enough, she hadn’t walked a single block when she saw Rainbow Dash talking to Pinkie Pie at Sugarcube Corner. Twilight decided to join them in conversation

“Hey girls, how are things going?” Pinkie Pie didn’t hesitate to answer,

“AMASIIING!!”

“Pretty good, How about you?” Rainbow Dash complied.

“I’m having a good day so far, so can you come to Fluttershy’s house with me so you can help me practice flying?” Twilight answered.

“I’ll be right over I’m just going to get some-” Rainbow Dash tried to say. “CUPCACKES!! There sweet, there full of sugar, there freshly baked, the frostings partly melted, it’s DELISHOUS!!” Pinky interrupted.

“Yes, they ARE delicious. But yeah, I’ll be over in a bit.” Rainbow Dash agreed With Pinky. With this Twilight waved her hoof and continued on her way to Fluttershy’s house.
