//------------------------------// // The Love Epidemic // Story: My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Stories // by A Mysterious Pony //------------------------------// The Love Epidemic ~~~~ Adagio Dazzle was walking down Canterlot High's hallway, her snear present to all. But, weirdly, no one was even in the hall; it was like the school was abandoned, "Now what are these people trying to do?" she huffed, remembering how those 'Rainlosers' drained their magic and destroyed their pendants. Adagio squeezed her eyes to hold back some tears. It was painful, but she could handle anything; even losing herself. The powerless used-to-be Siren finally arrived at the lunch room and pushed open the doors. Her jaw dropped. The sight was... weird, no awkward. Everyone was paired with someone else; whether it was a nerd and the class president or a jock and an eco-girl. Love was everywhere. Little kisses, caring hugs, starstruck gazes. Love, love, love! It was sickening. Ugh! Is there a love bug going around school or something; I hope I don't catch it. Bleh! Adagio stuck her tongue out in disgust. She made her over to the table her other fellow used-to-be Sirens and dropped her jaw for the second time. "Ooh, my wittle shmoopy-poo!" Aria, leaning on Sonata, said. The latter trying her best keep to the former from getting any closer. Adagio gasped, her pupils shrinking with shock, "What?! Is. Going. On?! First the whole school and now you two?!" the orange teen leaned on a chair at the table, looking disturbed. "Well, I don't know what happened, but it kind of went like this..." Sonata began 'til Aria started playing with her ponytail. "Stop it! That tickles! Hahaha, st-s-stop! Hahaha!" The purple Siren was now tickling her friend in her ribs. Adagio sighed, face-palming, "You were saying?!" Sonata pushed Aria off her, the purple girl falling on the ground, "Oh, yeah! So..." --10 Mintues Earlier-- "But, it's Tuesday! Their supposed to be serving tacos! It's not called Spaghetti Tuesday! I don't get this world!" Sonata Dusk raised her fists into air in silent rage. But, to anyone looking from the outside it would just look like she was shaking her hands to the ceiling. Aria Blaze was quietly eating lunch in peace, Then you sat next to me. Pfft! "What do you think, Aria? Should puppies where hats? Like, top hats and stuff; no barets, maybe... I don't know, what do you think? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh, Aria? Aria? Aria? Aria? ARIA?! Is it good? Wait, what is that? Is that a sandwich? I love sandwiches, I think. Maybe. Probably. How does it taste? Does it taste like-" Aria shoved the other half of her sandwich into Sonata's mouth, muffling her words. "STOP! Just! Stop! Already! You airheaded, thick-skulled, little--OW!!" PING! "*Gasp!*-- cutie-patootie! Oh, I just love it when you ramble about random things. That's one thing that I like about you and that makes you so adorable! Has anyone ever told you your eyes are the most beautiful feature of your face?" The purple Siren sighed as she looked at Sonata; it was the sigh a girl made when she was totally ga-ga over a hot guy, or in this case a cute girl. "Uh, what? H-hey! What are you doing?! Get off!" Aria had gotten out of her seat and over to Sonata. She wrapped her arms around the blue Siren's neck and started caressing her head. "Uh, this doesn't feel right..." "Oh, you're right! You need more love!" Aria walked around Sonata's chair and jumped in her lap, "Oops! I fell! Thank you for catching me, Sonata! How shall I repay such a chivalrous act of kindness?!" she traced the outline of her naive friend's chin while purring affectionately. "But, I didn't catch you. You fell on me.. into my arms, so technically you caught yourself with myself. But, I guess a 'your welcome' is okay. Don't sweat the repaying thing; we're friends!" Sonata smiled innocently, showing her pearly whites. Aria sat up and leaned against Sonata, sighing, "Well... I want to be... a little more than just friends. If you know what I mean ...?" Sonata stared blankly at her friend and giggled, "Nope!" "Ooh, my wittle shmoopy-poo!" Aria leaning on-- --Now-- "Yeah, yeah! I got it! Sheesh! Why don't you start from when Equestria was born," Adagio drooped her head onto the table and rubbed at her temples, contemplating, "Hmm..." "OW! Quit poking me!" The whining voice of Sonata exclaimed. Adagio looked up to find Aria leaning on Sonata again, but on her side on her lap. "My belly!" "Wait, what's that poking out of her back!" Adagio walked around the table to get to the other side. She leaned down and held Aria firmly to keep her from moving, "I'm just gonna' see it; don't worry. I won't even touch it," Adagio said to Aria for she had whimpered. Something was definitely wrong when Aria is hurt. She always gets hurt, but she never tells anyone for fear of showing weakness. Adagio turned Aria over and saw a small golden spear. It had flawless details with a golden feathered end. The piece that was lodged between Aria's shoulder blades was a beautifully crafted white pearl heart. Being the person she was Adagio yanked free the object, ignoring the yelp of pain Aria let out. The leader of the Sirens inspected the stick. It's brilliant curls and edges. How a stick could even be that heavy and how a person could shoot it with precise accuracy and trajectory. What really caught Adagio's eye, though, was the inscription on the side of it; of this arrow: Aria Blaze #2
