Phoenix sat back in his chair, breathing a sigh of relief, as he propped his legs up on his desk, and ran his fingers through his coarse, spiky hair. He had just gotten back from the Court-House; Athena had successfully defended her second client today, and he couldn't have been more proud of her. She was shaping up to be quite the attorney, but she had a lot of work to do. All of them did.

After all, the Dark Age of the Law had only ended about a month ago, and the three lawyers had a lot of work to do, cleaning up the Judicial System with the help of some of their Prosecutor allies. The people were beginning to trust the courts again, and justice was beginning to return to the country.

It's my fault that this damn thing even started in the first place, Phoenix thought, taking his legs off of his desk. He stared down at his feet, a feeling of guilt beginning to rise within him. So many innocent people got sent to jail for crimes they didn't commit, while criminals went free. All of that, because I wasn't careful. I walked right into Kristoph Gavin's trap. His fists clenched as he remembered Gavin's laugh on the stand. It was a laugh that louder and more desperate than any he had ever heard.

He shook his head quickly, banishing the thought from his mind,"You shouldn't think about that, Phoenix" he muttered,"It's over. All of it. The Phantom has been arrested, and peace has returned to the law." He had repeated the words to himself many times over the last few weeks, but the doubt still lingered, and one question sat in the back of his mind.

Do I deserve to call myself an attorney?

After all, he was the one who started the age in which the truth meant nothing, where the end justified the means, and the verdict being in one's favor was all a lawyer desired. All of his friends had told him that it wasn't his fault, that it was Kristoph Gavin who had forged the evidence. They were right, but Phoenix was the one who walked into the trap and used the evidence in court. His mistake was one that had cost him seven years of his life, and destroyed justice.

But that trial had also given him Trucy. Trucy, the light of his life, who kept him going when things were at their darkest. When he'd lost his badge, and was playing piano at bars, she offered her support, not to mention how many of the bills she paid with her magic shows. Right now, she was upstairs with Pearl and Athena, who had come over for a slumber party.

Athena...Only seventeen years-old, and you've been through so much. I'm happy that, at least for tonight, you can have a little bit of a child-hood. Phoenix looked at one of the picture frames on the wall. It was the one Lotta Hart had taken after Edgeworth was found innocent. In it was Maya, Phoenix, Edgeworth, Gumshoe, and barely visible behind them, Mia.

Mia Fey, his mentor, had been there for him no matter what. She was taken away from the world at too young of an age. She was a brilliant young woman, who had saved him from a guilty verdict long before he was an attorney, and had taught him everything it meant to be an attorney.

Phoenix shuddered at the memory of finding her corpse slouched under the window of this very office. He got up from his desk and walked out of the office, shutting the door behind him quietly. He walked upstairs towards his bedroom, and stopped at Trucy's door, where he could hear Apollo protesting to something. He opened the door, and raised his eyebrows at the scene.

Apollo was lying on his back, while Athena sat on his stomach. Meanwhile, Trucy and Pearl were putting make-up on his face. Phoenix snorted into his hand. Apollo's head shot up at the noise, lipstick smearing down his cheek,"Mr.Wright! Help me!" he cried, as Trucy pushed his head back onto the floor.

Phoenix chuckled, shaking his head,"Girls, let the poor guy go."

Trucy groaned and got up,"Fine. At least Polly looks a little prettier."

Athena rolled off of Apollo, and he jumped up quickly, rushing towards the bathroom to wash his face off. Phoenix sighed as he brushed past him, muttering "Excuse me".

Phoenix smirked and leaned against the door-frame,his arms crossed,"So, what have you three been gossiping about in here?"

The girls, all wearing identical pajamas, Where did they get those?, all answered "Your dating life!" at one time.

Phoenix's eyes widened,"Huh?"

Pearl cupped her hands on her cheeks,"Yeah, Mr.Nick! You and Mystic Maya!"

Phoenix sighed, a blush rising in his cheeks,"Listen, could you guys stop talking about that? I don't care what else you talk about."

Trucy bounced a little on her bed,"What about you and somebody else? You and Miss Von Karma."

"No."

"You and Miles Edgeworth?"

"What? No!"

Trucy held her hand to her chin, then pointed at him,"You and Apollo!"

"I'm leaving." Phoenix turned and walked away from the crazy trio. Athena called out his name. He rolled his eyes and turned back,"What?"

Athena grinned, and made a peace sign at him,"Why don't you tell us about your first court-case?"

"A friend of mine got accused, I got him off."

Athena sighed,"Details, Mr.Wright, details!"

Pearl glared at him, and pulled her sleeve up angrily,"You could tell them about your sugar momma!"

Trucy and Athena's eyes widened. Phoenix cocked his eye at Pearl,"What are you talking about?"

Pearl put her hands on her hips, and shook her head at him,"You know, the one who gave you the weird horse pictures?"

Phoenix cringed in realization. She was talking about Rainbow Dash, a pony that he had defended all those years ago, before he lost his badge. His shoulders slouched, and he started to sweat,"Uh...well."

Trucy's math dropped,"You mean, you actually have a sugar momma?"

Phoenix jumped back,"Wh-what? No! Ob-objection!"

Athena raised her eyebrows,"I don't even need Widget to tell that you're nervous, Mr.Wright."

Phoenix turned around, gripping the door frame,"You would think I was insane if I told you the truth."

Trucy stood up, and grabbed his shoulder,"What do you mean, daddy?"

"Someday, I might tell you. But not today." he walked out of the room, his thoughts back onto his penultimate case. The official record was that the Hazakurain case was his last full case, before he presented the forged evidence in court. However, a week earlier, he was transported to a land called Equestria, where he defended a pegasus mare named Rainbow Dash from a murder charge. He had never returned to that land.

Equestria was a constant reminder of his life before Zak Gramarye's case. When he was confident of his meaning in life. When he was truly happy. He walked down the hall, and entered his bedroom. He got dressed in his pajamas, and laid down on his bed. He rolled over on his side, and felt a sudden wave of nausea come over him. He tried to move, but couldn't.

He blacked out.

He grew conscious again, but was still unable to move. He focused intensely upon opening his eyes. From above him he heard a voice.

"Phoenix Wright? What are you doing here?"

His eyes sprung open, and he looked straight into a pair of purple eyes. What is she doing here?

"Mr.Wright? Are you okay?" Twilight Sparkle asked, a concerned expression on her face.
