//------------------------------// // Chapter 2: Canceled // Story: A Gift From The Stars. // by Sonic Rainboom Dash //------------------------------// Note: this is not the same second chapter that I had before as I was trying to fix it up for the newly updated chapter one. but if it is confusing then tell how I should fix or setup either chapters. This is all that i got with the second chapter before i canceled so those that wish to revive this story can have something to go off of. Ponyville Present Day 9:00 P.M Six Years After Coronation Ever since Stardust was born she had always been a kind, generous and an honest filly growing up, a trait that lead her to easily make friends with the elements of harmony, and as such she always looked out for others without any regard for her own safety or well-being. Even the CMC (Cutie Mark Crusaders) looked up to her as a guarding as well as friend, though in Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's case they tried to be friends as a way to be even more popular than an actual friend. But the destruction of Ponyville and the sheer amount of death was enough to sap almost all hope from Stardust. Only a small spark of hope was right in front of her, but was quickly dying as she was crying over the crumpled and battered mare that, after using up almost all of her energy, was still fighting for life and was losing fast. The mare was tired of fighting for her life in the vain attempt to keep from closing her eyes, but that would still come at a great price. It would mean that not only would the finally get a long rest, but it would mean the she would be leaving the one pony she valued the most. Her daughter. "M-Mom, p-please don't d-die on me. I d-don't want to be alone, so please, don't die," Stardust said trying hard not to lose hope from the destruction around her or the tears welling up at the sight of her mother lying in a crumpled heap before her. Her mother had promised that she would always be there for her and protect her from any threat. Her mother, a lavender alicorn with magenta-colored eyes, navy-blue hair with a strip of pink and violet running through the middle and a six-pointed starburst cutie mark, was struggling to breathe. Looking up at her daughter, the alicorn managed to speak with what little energy she had left, "Stardust, don't cry, this was not your fault." She said through pained and ragged breaths. "Mom, it is my fault!" Stardust screamed, barely able to suppress her sobbing. "If I hadn't made you worry about me by running away then maybe I wouldn't have been tempted to use that spell" Stardust said still sobbing in her mothers coat. Her mother still had enough strength to move. "Oh Stardust. Even if you hadn't run away somepony still might have found and used it" She had managed to pull Stardust closer to give a final hug before she said one more thing that reignited that spark of hope that was slowly dying. "There is one last spell i can teach you, but be warned it is a completely untested new spell that i made a while back" *Cough* *Cough* She stopped as a coughing fit tore through her throat. She then proceeded to place her horn atop Stardust's and channeled what remained of her magic as well as the memory of the spell directly into her mind. Once the process was completed she started to convulse even more violently then before and was aging faster then possible. "I gave you the rest of my strength so you can cast the spell, but be warned it's a one time use spell and even i don't know what will happen if used. If only Rainbow was still alive she would probably 'say that to be awesome you need to take risks squirt' or something like that"
